I’ve always been a fan of Lola Glass’s books and this one was no different, I have no regrets about staying up late and finishing this one. Callum was Mr Icicle himself, about as unmoving and stubborn as a mountain. How he convinced himself that his mate bond with Kat was going to be like a business action, cold and impersonal I don’t know. It was like rock meets hard place when Kat started pushing back and the contract that was pure genius, I did love these two together. Callum despite himself all his actions since he met Kat have been for her, despite holding himself back from her until she was 25 when her magic settles. I loved Callum’s family and I’m looking forward to reading their books and seeing where this series goes.
One of her best series to date. I NEED the next books immediately. Mutual sexy pining, he’s convinced he could not POSSIBLY fall in love. She’s like “nice try bitch you shall love me.”
As usual, so cute (even if he basically abducted her. We all have our flaws.) I can't wait for the next stories in this world, or for the "longest book she has ever written" that isn't quite ready yet, as she tells us in the afterwords. I'm so stoked 🥳🥳🥳
Lola Glass is officially one of my very favorite authors. Her books are such a fun escape, like a mini vacation. Her characters, world building, and plots are enjoyable but not complex. There’s no trying to figure out what’s going on, just an easy, engaging story. Every book I’ve read, is a pleasure to read and I always finish with a smile.
Pretty Little Wolf, is the first book in the new Fated Mate Bonds series. It features a fated mating between a powerful fae and a “pretty little werewolf”. The only thing is, the werewolf doesn’t know they’re fated, not even after her mate kidnaps her!
Fun, romantic, spicy, paranormal romance with amazing characters and a slow burn plot that will have you impatient for the next book.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Lola Glass writes paranormal stories that have all the supernatural vibes with romance and love weaved through for that epic experience. There’s a reason I continue to go back for more with her books and it’s because I love getting swept away into other worlds where werewolves are possessive alphas, omegas are treasured and fae royals are obsessive stalkers.
This was a great start to a new series that I know is going to be another favorite. This was a really slow burn romance but was perfect for the story. I loved the banter between Callum and Kat, the budding friendship with Liv and Kat and all the sexual tension Callum was holding in.
I can’t wait to read more of these royal fae and their unique magic.
Honestly I don’t think That Lola glass could miss right now. Every series just gets better and better. I loved the FMC- I love her sassy wolf- I love the MC - and the side characters are all fantastic. It’s a good sassy romance with a found family and strong female lead.
“Pretty Little Wolf” by Lola Glass is a sweet and spicy paranormal romance with low stakes, a headstrong FMC, and an ice-cold MMC. It is the first in the “Fated Mate Bonds” series of interconnected standalones.
Kat, a Werewolf struggling with heat, makes a deal with Callum, the Fae King of Winter, to keep her Coffee Shop afloat before opening day. Over the next five years, they spend every heat together before he leaves again, not calling in their deal. Until the news reports that Callum and Kat are getting married. Then, he comes to collect. A battle of wills ensues as Kat attempts to thaw the ice king, and the Fae king refuses to fall in love with his pretty little wolf.
Callum has a light stalking problem. Kat is a workaholic. Both of them are headstrong and determined to have their way as they try to find their middle ground together, as forced proximity, one bed, and a fated mate bond are determined to keep them together. I appreciated their low-stakes romance, despite the various situations they found themselves in alongside their friends. Their banter, scheming, and forced learning curve were both fantastic and fun to watch from the outside. Glass’s text message scenes are always some of my favorites and just always feel like a good time!
At 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, “Pretty Little Wolf” is sweet and oh so spicy!
The warded supernatural town of Rumor reminded me of multiple worlds in the Glass-verse, and it helped me feel right at home. Several references to her Supernatural Prison World (which is my favorite) also made me feel like I was in on a secret.
Lola Glass is my go-to palette cleanser/feel-good read. Stressed? Lola Glass. Anxious? Lola Glass. Craving an easy romance? Lola Glass. I have a slew of ARC reads this month, but the moment a notification for this book came up? I jumped on it. I was not going to miss it.

Lola Glass has carved out a unique niche in the paranormal romance world, specializing in stories that lean into the "cozy chaos" of shifter culture. In Pretty Little Wolf, the first installment of the Fated Mate Bonds series, Glass delivers exactly what we have come to love: sharp wit, high-tension chemistry, and a refreshing departure from the typical romance!
What makes Pretty Little Wolf stand out is the balance of power. While the male lead is undeniably protective and possessive—traits staple to the shifter and fae genre. Lola Glass infuses the story with a level of consent and emotional intelligence that feels modern. The protagonist isn't a "damsel" waiting to be rescued; she is skeptical, sharp-tongued, and fiercely protective of her own autonomy. The banter between the leads is a highlight, serving as a vehicle for character development rather than just filler.
Glass introduces a fascinating hierarchy and biological framework. The "Bond" is depicted almost like a shared psychic frequency. This adds a layer of intimacy to the writing style, as the characters aren't just communicating through words, but through shared instincts. The world feels lived-in and contemporary, making the magical elements feel like a hidden layer of our own reality rather than a high-fantasy secondary world.
My Final Thoughts: If you are looking for a gritty, 800-page epic with dozens of subplots, this may not be your speed. However, if you want a steamy, humorous, and emotionally satisfying paranormal romance that respects its characters' boundaries while turning up the heat, Pretty Little Wolf is an excellent start to the series.
Lola Glass proves once again that she can take familiar tropes—the fated mate, the protective alpha and fae, and the reluctant heroine—and spin them into something that feels light, fun, and genuinely heartfelt.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥 (Open door with focus on emotional connection)
I'm giving this book 5 stars because it's similar to other books, but I liked the idea that Alpha's are females and overall, there was a decent storyline instead of just being borderline BDSM and hardcore porn. I appreciated the storyline and characters. The Fae being the most powerful & their powers coinciding with a season. The protected city, even though it rains all the time. When a Fae gives a favor - tattoo mark and will come to collect someday. Also, the idea of Callum waiting until Kat came into her full power, so his magic didn't mess her up. And showing up during "heat" with presents and helping her through it.. although the idea of stalking isn't romantic. I wish a different word would've been used. Even though Callum was .. do what I say/I'm making decisions/no love etc etc.. it wasn't borderline abuse like so many books are. And Sable being the one to love him right away and comfort/cuddle him was adorable. Kat actually having "control" in some ways because of the contract and not being flighty or so overwhelmed by him pleasuring her that she submits to everything. The beginning of the story finding out Gwen chose a dominate Beta and screwed her sister over, so Jonah & Kat were a pack of two (Kat being Alpha) was a cool twist. I'm not sure I'd be as open as she was 5 yrs later with her sister or her parents. I loved the Liv character, but the other Fae's confused me a little. I am looking forward to Book 2
So many stories it's pretty much abusive Alpha & then spoils the mate because he'll never hurt her etc, but still domineering, spoils the mate some more - never ending cycle. The mate will either manipulate the alpha into sort've doing what she wants but, in the end, he's still horribly controlling & the mate shrugs it off as if it's silly. I'm so glad this was different

Another lovely wonderfully fun paranormal fated mates romance by Lola Glass. Lola’s stories are always so well written with humour, banter, romance and human nature (worries, insecurities, etc causing problems) and this one is no different. It's full of lots of text message banter (love these and how after the pair have married Kat also has wonderful text conversations with the other royals who want her to thaw Callum out), wonderful characters with brilliant chemistry, friendships, wolf shifters and fae royals, vampires and other paranormals, characters who struggle with their powers, heaps of humor, cheeky banter and sweet spice💖. I couldn't put down and would strongly recommend.
Kat had gone to the Winter Fae King Callum as a last resort when her sister left her with a café to run and no finances. They make a bargain but she doesn't know when, or in what form, his claim of repayment will be for helping to make her café the best in Rumor.
For five years they don’t talk, until she hears he's announced their marriage and he turns up with his best friend, Liv the Spring Fae Queen, and they more or less abduct her (Liv loves abductions), he might have been stalking her since they met.
Kat is warm hearted, wonderful and sassy, if a little workaholic, doing everything to get the man who's trapped her to realise he loves her (the only furniture he has is one bed), something her wolf agrees with her on. Callum is ice-cold to love, but they work so well together, even if his powers and job is to torture people.
I also love how well Liv and Jonah get on & look forward to reading what happens next in "Pretty Little Mate".

Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 3/5 ————> Other than an anticlimactic ending this was pretty good. A little bit a fae. A little bite of wolves. A whole lotta miscommunication and stubbornness.
Callum is fae royalty. Kat is a girl on a mission trying to open her dreams of a cafe when her sister pulls the plug on her financial backing. Kat does what she thinks is best and makes a deal with the fae. Only Callum doesn’t officially seal the deal with Kat. Because after hooking up with her he realizes she’s his fated mate.
He waits and “stalks” her for five years. Giving her time to have her magic mature and watch her cafe(s) thrive. After Callum commits a crime he makes Kat uphold her end of “the deal”. By marrying him/bonding with him.
She’s no stranger to Callum because for the past five years Callum has shown up to help her through her heats. Nothing more than just pleasuring her beyond all means. Never to be reciprocated.
after a confession he didn’t want to let go of. Kat finally finds out there was no deal and she’s his fated mate. Beyond mad, she shifts and disappears to think for hours. When she returns she makes her own contract and he has to sign it or she walks.
There are so many wonderful supporting characters in this. You meet all the other royal faes of their seasons. The drama with Kat’s beta and her sister. (That does take up a good chunk of this read, but ill leave it all out of my review)
With 40 somethings pages left in this I was convinced it wasn’t going to be a standalone. But turns out I was wrong. We get an epilogue and everything. HEA for Kat and Callum.
CW: graphic sex; possessive MMC (who stalks FMC); abusive werewolf; somewhat kidnapping; female werewolves who experience heat; age gap; MMC in near-constant pain
Kat has a bit of an issue (or maybe several): her sister backed out of the loan for their upcoming bakery and is now an Alpha; her sister's beta is abusive; her family turned away from her AND she has started going into heat. Enter Callum Frost: a fae that is willing to make a bargain to help Kat save her bakery... but it might just cost her soul.
Kat has seen Callum Frost precisely 12 times since their bargain 5 years ago. Every time she's near her heat, he comes to visit. After she turns 25, he comes to collect her side of the bargain. Unfortunately for Kat (although her inner werewolf Sable disagrees with this assessment), Callum's price is her as his mate.
***
Despite what the plot indicates, this book is a hilarious pseudo-romcom featuring an exhausted werewolf, her very *thirsty* inner wolf, and the fae keen to adore them both. I am pretty sensitive to books that have kidnapping & stalking in them but how Lola situates it in this book (with Callum arguing with his BFF on the definition of 'abduction') is more eye-roll worthy than it is concerning. While Kat & Callum's relationship is very steamy, it is Callum's delightful BFF Liz that steals the show (and also steals Kat).
The only thing I didn't love was how the conflict resolved between Kat and her sister Gwen. I'm not quite sure how much of Gwen's behaviour was her choice versus the result of Simon's machinations. I think this could have been made a bit clearer.
Overall, a hilarious & steamy introduction to a new Lola Glass world!
Pretty Little Wolf was a good paranormal romance story. This book gives us the story of the four most powerful fae in Rumor who are also best friends, so we get a little bit of information about all of them including what powers they possess. However, this story focuses more on Callum, the winter king and his werewolf mate Kat. This author sure knows how to write a story that kept me interested from beginning to end and left me looking forward to Liv, Merrily and Dare's story. There were things I liked and disliked about this book, but I don't want to give too much away. I loved that Callum (Winter), Liv (Spiring), Merrily (Autumn) and Darius (Summer) all possessed different and deadly powers. The pace of the story was good, but I felt there were parts that seemed repetitive especially when it came to Callum fears and what Kat wants from him. I hated that Kat went through what she did just for Callum to turn around and give in when he could have saved them both a lot of pain. Anyways, I enjoyed Jonah and I'm looking forward to reading how things will work out between him and Liv while being Gwen's beta. This story had betrayal, deals, stalker tendencies, claiming, fears, negotiations, jealousy, fighting, steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments and more. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Thank you BookSprout and Lola Glass for sending me this advance review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was everything I could have ever wished for. OMG it was so good!
The fast pacing and worldbuilding were perfect. It was so hard to put this book down every night and go to sleep, and there were days I stayed up until 1am reading. It was a great mix of cozy and tension as they butted heads with each other. The werewolf aspect was also interesting with the wolf and human being almost completely separate from each other.
I love Kat to bits, and she is a great no nonsense FMC. She knows what she wants and will fight tooth and nail to get it, including making a deal with the fae. Callum is your usual Mr. broody, quiet and has intense control issues. His backstory was also great, and you can see how it made him how he is. I love that we got to see him slowly melt and accept love into his life. I also love that while it is a fated mate kinda book, it's not insta love. They had to work hard to get there.
The side characters are also fantastic, and I can't wait to read the future books about them too. Liv is my favorite of the bunch, and she is such a good friend to both Kat and Callum.
Overall this was a fantastic book if you want something cozy and tense at the same time.
H: Callum Frost (Winter Fae King) powers are ice and pain h: Katherine (Kat) Davis- Werewolf Kat was forced (by circumstances) to search for Callum Frost for a deal or a bargain in return for a piece of your soul. Kat was trying to build her dream cafe with her sister who on the last min took on a beta and that caused her to be an Alpha. *Side Note* A lot went on in this story since this is the 1st one (foundation for the rest of the story) . We meet lots and lots of different people. We met the sister(Gwen), the sister's ex fiancé (Jonah) which turned into Kat's beta. We meet the rest of the Kings (Spring magic is growth and energy: Liv- who is Callum's best friend. Autum is death and illusions-Merrily . Summer is fire and pleasure-Darius. We also meet Grayson Darke-the Demon King. So yea it could be a little overwhelming. Later we find out that Callum and Kat are fated mates which means she relieves his constant pain. He doesn't believe in love so Kat is going to try to make him fall in love with her. I really like this story. I feel like this is SOOO different and so refreshing at the same time. Love it.
I believe this is the longest Lola Glass book I’ve read, but I was so deeply engrossed in it, time flew by. This author is incredibly talented. Her imagination blows me away every time I read another of her new releases—which I scramble to grab because I can’t bear the thought of missing one of her awesome books.
Pretty Little Wolf is a great way to keep yourself entertained for 4-6 hours. The characters are pretty dang awesome, and adorable in their clumsiness navigating their feelings—Callum, with his relationship cluelessness, and Kat, with her plausible deniability.
Looking forward to the rest of the series! *** Recommended ***

Honestly might be my favorite Glass book to date… really enjoyed Callum and Kat, and the book was just long enough to really feel like it had some meat to it.
I was worried Callum would be a bit unlikable until he sorted his fears and feelings, but our little “light-stalker” was incredibly charming and sympathetic. I felt for his situation and wanted to know more. It was easy to root for him. Kat was just as likable, and extremely relatable. She wasn’t sassy per se, but she stood up for herself when most women would, even when she felt bad for Callum. I felt their relationship had a natural emotional progression and they both made choices that made sense.
I wanted more spice, but was there was emotionally charged and decently written. I absolutely loved the side characters/found family. All of their interactions were hilarious and I can’t wait for future books. A great new romcom-esque shifter pallet cleanser from Glass, with a bit of miscommunication, a dash of sarcasm, a lot of stubbornness, and a swoon-worthy fated mates romance.
I read 17 Lola Glass books last year, but this one might be my favorite yet.
➕ - Lola's books are always breezy and bingeable. Pretty Little Wolf is no different even though it's longer than her usual. I appreciated the longer length and I really wanted to spend even more time with Kat and Callum. - Tropes: fae x wolf shifter, bargains, fated mates, forced proximity, found family. - The world, the supernatural species and the unique magical abilities are fascinating. Lola always puts a fun spin on things. - I love the tension between Kat and Callum. Their chemistry kept me glued to the pages. The depth that Callum would go to for Kat 😱 (even if he is in denial about his feelings). - I cannot wait for the next book. I adore Liv (spring fae queen) and I'm very curious about her happily ever after.
So Lola glass is one of my favorite authors. Her books are light, and usually are kind of a palette cleanse.
This book was interesting 🤔 in the way that all her books are interconnected stand-alone for each series. I felt like we got more from the side characters and what’s happening with them than the actual main characters. Like she was teeing up for the following books and just kinda didn’t put as much into the main characters of this book. We don’t get a much history or background on these characters. He’s been stalking her for 5 years but somehow it just doesn’t really transfer to the feelings you get reading it. That was disappointing. I feel like so much was put in the side characters, but then I was left wanting more information on the main couple.
I know this is her first full length book after having her baby, and also after her series of short stories. I will continue to read this series and hoping it’s better.
I always love a shifter romance, this was certinly more about there building relationship. It was very angsty, although they do bond quickly its still drawn out before the proper relationship starts. you can see where the series is going and hopefully it will be good that it is different species in each book.
What i did find irritating was that she would not engage physically unless he would also, then wouldnt let him join her heat becuase he was just doing it becuase of the pain. But in the end even after her heat it was really this same reason that he changed his mind. So to me it was her suffeing through a heat for no reason. But overall its a good book especially if you like angsty ones.
I knew as soon as I started read this book that I would enjoy it. The characters are immense. Kat is great. I love that she is no pushover and is determined to continue with her dreams. My only gripe, if you can call it that, is for all of the pain and betrayal her family and especially her sister caused, I feel there should have been way more grovelling. There wasn’t enough. I love Callum. He is moody and cold, but his emotions run deep. He is a fun character who is not what you think he is. I love Kat and Callum as a couple as they have terrific banter and their chemistry sizzles. This book sets the scene perfectly with the other characters in the series and I am on tenterhooks waiting for the next book!
I don't know how Lola pushes so many solid books out! This series has so much cool things happening already in book 1!
The shifter dynamic they the Alpha is always female and the beta is male and the alphas protector! Love that spin.
The Fae royals having too much magic that they need fated Mates to lessen their pain. And their mates can be of any species.
In this book how could you not love Callum. Not only the strong silent type but the overly obsessed and who will take the pain even if it means Kats happiness and vice versa.
The other stories hinting to Liv and Jonah and Merrily and Grayson... I'm all for it!
Loved this first book in The Fated Mate Bonds series ! Callum and Kat are soul mates, but only one of them knows it ! This story takes us through the five years after their “deal” is made and the first several months of bonding, werewolf heat thrown in ! Great storyline and even better characters, and I can’t wait to see how the mate bonds play out for the rest of the Fae King and Queens. 5✨’s. Another fantastic romantasy by Lola Glass. She does a great job of builing these fantasy landscapes and dropping you right into the moddle of it. I am always instantly contected to the characters, the world and whatever non-earth ending drama Lola has thought up. She is my favorite easy-read, get lost in a new world author. And she brought it all in this new series.
Thank you Booksprout and Lola Glass for this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A love waiting to be recognized and burst free in this super-romantic new read from a new series.
I love the interaction throughout the storyline with all the wonderful characters. The chemistry between Callum and Kat is just wonderful with lots of sizzle.
A super sexy romantic love story
I just love this author’s style of writing, and I can’t wait to read and review each new release. If you haven’t read any of her books, you’re really missing out!.

I don't know how she does it. Lola glass is so creative to me. She is written so many different types of books involving werewolf and Fae yet they all are different in many ways. For example how they shift or how they find their mate. I have read all of her books and this newest one is my favorite. I know I've said that before but that's because her books keep getting better. If you love a sweet story with plenty of spice definitely check this one out.
