Contact Juggling

Rate this book
The style of Contact Juggling is based on the manipulation of only one ball, involving rolls on the hands, arms, and entire body. There are also variations called palm spinning, which use up to four balls in each hand. Combining the visual grace of dance with the technical demands of juggling and magic, Contact Juggling is both a joy to watch and a satisfying challenge to perform.

This book has been heralded as one of the best designed and produced juggling books ever created. The book focuses almost entirely on this unique style, covering ground untouched by previous juggling textbooks. With clear diagrams and lucid text, James Ernest takes the reader step-by-step through the basics of learning, and shows glimpses of the many undiscovered possibilities of this graceful and mesmerizing style.

One of the first (if not the first) book on contact juggling. Although a definite book to include in any juggler's library, I personally think that watching an instructional video would be better.

A classic. Shows how to do the impossible, on a routine basis. The field has moved some since he wrote it, but this is the original.

Incredibly helpful and encouraging for getting started with contact juggling, the illustrations are superb and there's loads more tricks besides; the appendix even includes instruction on 3-ball juggling.
