The book is just amazing, with each of the stories having a central theme of resurrection, rejuvenation and reawakening with an underlying hint of positivity. My own favourite stories were The Balance of Spring, Bougainvillea, Spring Awakening (it is the name of my story too) and Baje Meye: An unholy deity.

Spring Awakening deals with the trending issue of Alzheimer's and Baje Meye offers a peak into Bengali family politics (really relatable). This book has at least a few stories which have the potential for screenplay adaptation. Will also like to commend Mr Sanjay Chandra for his unstinted support as a publisher and coordinator.

Reading Light of Spring was a refreshing experience for me. As someone who typically gravitates toward full-length novels or multiple stories by the same author, this anthology offered something different—each story brought a fresh voice, perspective, and even emotional rhythm.

What stood out for me was the multi faceted interpretation of “spring” as a metaphor for life. From narratives that resonated personally, to those that dealt with dystopian worlds, the collection moves across moods and meanings with ease. Not every story lands in the same way—and nor should it—but together they helped prevent monotony while keeping me engaged, thoughtful, and briefly lost in many different lives.

Curated by Kala, the anthology succeeds in offering diversity while remaining coherent. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Light of Spring attempts to capture the metaphor of Spring not merely as a season, but as a state of becoming. The anthology presents varied narrative textures — reflective, questioning, and occasionally raw — which together reveal the evolving landscape of contemporary Indian short fiction. Its strength lies in its collective voice and in the quiet courage of emerging story tellers.

Light of Spring is a beautifully curated anthology that explores renewal in a very soft and thoughtful way. The theme of "spring" is not presented as just a season, but as an inner transformation that many of us experience in different phases of life.

What stands out is the sincerity in the writing. Each story approaches change, hope, and healing from a personal and emotional perspective, making the collection feel intimate and relatable.

its a book you don't rush through - you sit with it. A thoughtful read for everyone who appreciates literature that lingers softly beyond the last page.

Loved reading the scent of new life, the letter in the old box, blame it on spring.

Do read my humble story Germination on page255 and let me know your thoughts on the same.
