Brooke meets Dean at a frat party (he's a member and lives in the house). Her drink is drugged and she passes out in Dean's bed. He doesn't take advantage of the situation (I guess that's all it takes to make a "hero" here?). He tells her that what she drank (marked "virgins", how charming) had ecstasy in it and he would have warned her if he knew she was drinking it. He then tells her it's lucky that he was taking care of her because most of his frat brothers are assholes. So he's ok with other girls drinking that stuff? He's ok with the "assholes" taking advantage of them? He's ok living with other guys who think this is ok? Nope! I read enough about that crap in real life, don't want to read about it in a romance book.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

Brooke has decided that she is in college now and all she needs to do is concentrate on her school work which means staying away from the whole party scene. So is it that easy

So when her friend drags her with to a frat party all is good cause it's just in and out. Check out the scene and then leave.
What she didn't count on was meeting Dean. First he makes her spill her drink all over herself and then when she has a drink that's suppose to be Virgin but actually isn't he comes to her rescue

So they become friend and decide to be each other's wingman. So will Brooke be able to keep her promise and stay away from the party scene? How will she handle being just friends with Dean? Will she fall for the sweet and caring frat boy or will she stick to her new rules.

This was a quick short sweet read that will give you just enough to make you feel all the sugary sweet love is in the air vibe.

Crystal's 5 Star Review
At her first frat party since she was in High School, Lexie runs into Dean, literally, spilling her drink all over herself. Later, grabbing a different drink, one marked “Virgin”, she meets up with him again and this time he comes to her rescue. Turns out that her drink isn’t a virgin drink, but one that makes girls act like virgins. In other words, it had been spiked.
Dean decides that from now on, they will be each other’s wingman and the two form a fast friendship. Lexie is concerned, mainly because she doesn’t want to fall for him and that she doesn’t want to fall in that old cliché about sleeping with a frat guy. Besides, what if he finds someone, then where would she be.
This is a really cute, quick story, just in time for all the romance that surrounds Valentine’s Day. Their relationship does not progress into an insta-love and for that I am grateful. I definitely recommend this book.

Amy is definitely one of my favorite authors. She always bring so much joy to her books, making me addicted. I was blown away by her first book, Blissful Tragedy, and I'm blown away again by this beautiful romance story between two people from two different worlds.

Brooke is a new and approved young woman. She doesn't party anyone or sleep around with total strangers. She's not the girl she used to be. She wants to focus on her studies and making something of her life, instead of getting sucked into all the drama.

Dean is a sexy frat guy. Before you start questioning the fact that Dean is a frat boy, he isn't like the rest of the guys. He's sweet and caring. He has his reasons for joining a fraternity, and that you will read about in Blissful Valentine. Dean's the type of guy that you can trust and count on.

When these two meet, well it's not the cute and fuzzy way you would think. It's quite funny, actually. Well, the real funny part is the morning after they meet. Brooke's mind is blurry and she doesn't remember the events of the night before. I wonder why?

This novella is short and sweet, but it takes you on a ride through romance and chaos. It will have you questioning the characters throughout the whole story. Will Dean and Brooke end up happily together? Will Dean end up being just like the rest of his fraternity brothers? And most importantly, will Brooke turn into that party girl she was in the past, or will she continue to focus on her future?

I recommend this book for all you lovers of romance. Five beautiful stars to Miss Amy L. Gale on her success with a new brilliant book. I can't wait to see what else she has in store. I'll be keeping my eye out for more books, and I will be the first person to buy them!

I was given an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. I have to say it was a nice, short, and sweet Valentine read. It is perfect if you are looking for a quick read.

Amy L. Gale does a wonderful job. Nicely written flows smoothly and you can definitely feel the connection between these two.

19 year old Brooke went through a rough period in high school. Lots of parties, random sex with guys she didn't know, she became a little out of control. Now off at college she vows to leave those days behind her and start fresh. Focus on school and graduating and that means she has to stay away from the Jocks, booze and frat boys... That was until she met Dean...
Dean is just perfect. He is sweet, charming, respectable, star ball player, and smart, but he is Frat party boy, everything Brooke has sworn to stay away from.

Dean has a goal and that goal is Brooke he is willing to do whatever he can to prove to Brooke he is so much more than what she sees from the outside.

I really enjoyed Brooke and Dean story, but I was anxious to learn more about Dean. Lucky for me I have recently discovered they was introduced in Blissful Tragedy which I have to say I have not read yet, but will be in the near future.

I received an ARC via The Booktique in exchange for an honest review

This was a great little novella from Amy L Gale the only thing that saddened me is that is was over far too quick (I know that's the essence of a novella) but I just felt there was more to Brooke and Dean's story.

Brooke Powers is a 19 year old on the straight and narrow after taking a few wrong turns and making a few bad choices. Dean Parker is everything Brooke does not want in a man. He is a jock frat brother who oozes charm and charisma. After a less than memorable meeting at a frat party Dean decides he'd like Brooke to be his friend and wingwoman but Brooke knows that is only code for one this. Hook up. Or so she thinks.

Can Brooke resist Dean and his charms or is has she got him all wrong.

A great little read for Valentine's Day.

PERFECT VALENTINE READ!!
Blissful Valentine is the perfect Valentine read. I love how the characters are in college and doing what college kids do to find their path in life.
Brooke and Lexie are roommates and Lexi has decided it is time to go to a frat party. Brooke is not so sure, she doesn’t like parties and drinking because she knows all about losing control. After high school Brooke decided no more parties and no more of the guy after guy thing. Once inside, Lexi starts looking for refreshments and finds the kitchen where pitchers are filled with colorful liquids, the one Brooke chose was supposed to be non-alcoholic. She was so wrong.
Dean has amazing blue eyes, a gorgeous body and perfect skin to go along with a dazzling smile. He loves to play the sport he has been playing since he was a child. He works had to be a good player. Dean find Brooke to be the perfect wingman for him. The become friends and he helps her with classes she struggles in and in return she is to be his wingman. Dean sees Brooke as more than a wingman but does Brooke feel the same? Can Dean except Brooke for how she feels or will it be the end?
This is the first book I’ve read by Amy L. Gale but it won’t be the last. The emotions in this book are real and I felt emotions she was portraying in her writing. I Love Dean and Brooke they are so sweet and honest. I would highly recommend this book!!

Blissful Valentine by Amy L. Gale is a present-day love story that would take place on a college campus and it was well written. The story was about Brooke who is a college student who is trying to change her life and become a better person then who she was in High School. One way of doing this is by refusing to not party in College including Frat Parties. When her best friend Lexi talks her into going to just one Frat party she literally runs into Dean. Dean is at college on a baseball scholarship and is a member of the Frat that Brooke and Lexi decided to go party at. You can see the connection starting between Dean and Brooke immediately. Dean seems to always be in the right place at the right time when it comes to helping Brooke. This book had one part that had a little violence, but nothing too bad. There was also some sexual content but nothing to bad. This was a very quick read and it is perfect for a Valentine’s Day. I highly recommend this book to all you romantics out there!

Reformed Brooke has decided that she can not and will not embark in all of the College Frat parties and debauchery that comes along with it. She has also banned the dating off jock and bad boys. Well the party was nixed when her besties decides that is one rule she will have her break~ Frat Parties are a must. Going to the party makes her break her second rule, yeah she meets not only a frat guy but he is also a ball player~ Dean. Way to stick to your gins!
What happens next is a quick romance that is a little bit predictable but enjoyable. Filled with tons of movie pop-culture and quotes this book is a fun and quick read. Dean and Brooke will bring a smile to your heart.

Blissful Valentine: A Novella is a swiff & sweet read. This novella takes place before Blissful Tragedy even though Blissful Tragedy came out first as Brooke & Dean are already together in Blissful Tragedy which is Brooke's best friend Lexie's story. So, I found it a bit strange as I think these are presented in the incorrect order. I would have enjoyed it more if I had the chance to read this novella first. I absolutely loved Dean's character & relished getting to know him better as I got a glimpse of him in Blissful Tragedy.

This story was so cute! This was the third book in a holiday collection and by far my favorite so far. I am absolutely in love with dean. I’m actually surprised because I had no idea what this story was going to be about. This one also seemed the most like an actual book that I would choose to read. I kind of wish that this would be a full length book. This was decently long compared to the others in the collection. I enjoyed it so much. It was sweet, fun and I didn’t want to put it down.

Dean and Brooke meet at a frat party. They start spending time together. Another woman is interested in Dean and when troubles arise Brooke is ready to walk away.

I liked the characters but Brooke needs to learn to communicate. Instead of walking away she needs to tell Dean what the problem is and talk it out with him or, at least, hear his side. The story is a quick read but I was hoping for more.

This is a simple romance, with falling, refusing to admit you have, giving it a chance, third act break up, and happily ever after. I found the frat house setting to be interesting for a meet cute, but it worked. Dean is amazing, but Brooke I wanted to push. Her back and forth was so frustrating, but her backstory had me understanding her actions and determination more. There is only one spicy scene in this book and it is sweet and intimate. It was a cute story, perfect for a Valentine's day read.

I read this book as part of Holidays Ever After: Contemporary Romance Holiday Boxed Set. You can find my review of the anthology as a whole at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show....

This is a college romance between Brooke and Dean (meaning it includes some immaturity due to age). It was a pretty quick Valentine's Day read. The story is told entirely from Brooke's perspective. While there is 1 sex scene, it is not very explicit or steamy. The story was kind of sweet, but I'm not sure how motivated I am to continue reading the Blissful series. While the book doesn't exactly end in a cliffhanger, the chunk of text following the story implies that the story isn't done yet. If the books were free, I would be interested to hear Lexi's story and perhaps more of Brooke's.

This is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last. This book was a perfect read to get you into the Valentine's Day spirit. This short story is romantic, fun, and very entertaining. I was captured by this story. I read this book in one sitting.

This cute story is about a good college girl named Brooke Powers. She is only focused on her education and she does not want anything to get in her way including boys. Brooke has two rules for college. Rule one stay away from the party scene and two is not to date a frat boy. Brooke believes that all frat boys are bad news and they can not be trusted. One night her best friend begs her to go to a party and Brooke finally gives in and goes for her friend. When she is at the party she feels like she does not belong until she bumps into the hot fraternity brother Dean Parker. Dean is well known guy around campus. She feels some kind of connection between them but she doesn't want to break her owns rules.

When they get to talking she could not believe that she likes a frat boy. Then all of a sudden she starts getting dizzy and then next thing she sees is black. She wakes up in strange place and she high tails it out of there. When she gets back to her place she vows to never go to a frat house party again. She also comes to a conclusion that since Dean is a frat boy she also needs to stay away from him as well. Keeping away from Dean is a huge battle for her because everytime she turns around he is there. When she starts to get to know Dean her old demons come back to haunt her. Will she turn her back or follow her heart? Will she get her happy ending or be alone on the day for lovers.

I enjoyed this book because it is an easy and sweet read. Brooke is a sweetheart that you will fall in love with from the first page. Dean is a really good guy. I thought that Brooke judged Dean unfairly at first. She thought that since he was a frat boy he was no good but Dean is the perfect guy for her. He is charming and he is truly a knight and shining armor. He is my new favorite character. I loved the 80s reference of the movies. I for one love the 80s movies. This is the perfect book for all of the romance lovers out there. I'm now going to read her first book Blissful Tragedy.

This book was given to me for an honest review.

5 stars

I absolutely loved this story. It is fast paced and keeps you interested the whole time you are reading it. I love this genre of books. It's always nice to see a good guy win even though the girl is tough on him. It is a perfect story for this time of season and the characters are so likable in this book that it made it a very good read. I loved Brooke and Dean. They were perfect for each other in an imperfect way. You learn from an early age you can't judge a book from its cover, but if the book keeps revealing the same thing its hard to change your mind. Thats what this book did. Brooke thinks all frat guys are just that...Parties, booze, girls, fun. Thats until she meets Dean at a party. He protects her at the first party, but he never falls into that typical frat guy. That is why I loved him so much. He shows that smart guys can also have fun. He was I have to say the perfect college guy. Brooke, she has screwed up in her past and she doesnt want to do the same things over again. Dean poses a threat to her new way of life, but she doesn't know what to do. A heart wants what a heart wants. Dean is her kryptonite. Will she be able to let her past stay in the past? Will she be able to see who Dean really is?

Everything in this book was great. The writing, the scenes, everything you look for in a book was right here. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It only takes about an hour or two to get through, but I have to say, I want more. I would love to see more of Brooke and Dean. I want to see more of the other,r characters too. I just wish there was more of this book. Their story was good and I loved reading about them. This author did a great job of expressing their feelings in this short novella, I just hope she comes up with more for this couple.

Great story. I hope to read more from this author. I can't wait to see what she has in store for Lexi.

Blissful Valentine by Amy L. Gale is a sweet novella that definitely leaves you with a happy ending. This book was a four star read for me and I read it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down.

Brooke Powers is a college student that is perfectly fine missing the party scene. In fact, one of her goals is to steer clear of the frat parties and to get her degree. However, once Brooke's roommate begins attending the frat parties, Brooke reluctantly agrees to go. Once there, Brooke meets Dean Parker and is totally confused about her reaction to him. After all, he is a frat boy. After a mishap causes Brooke to wake up in a weird situation, she puts her foot down- no more frat parties or anything frat related. This means she needs to steer clear of Dean Parker.

"My heart sinks. He’s everything I vowed to stay away from, yet it kills me to let him go."

Brooke finally gives in when she realizes she just can't stay away from him. Due to her past, she's scared to trust him but she's going to try anyways. Certain events happen that weren't totally expected and Brooke questions every decision she's made in regards to Dean.

This book is written in single POV telling the story from Brooke's point of view. Brooke has insecurities just like most people which makes her very relatable. This was a sweet, quick read that I would definitely recommend.

Blissful Valentine was my first book from Amy L. Gale and I thought it was a good introduction to a new author. This was a sweet Valentine's themed novella, that pulled me in within the first few pages. I'm so glad I discovered a new author and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Blissful Valentine was a 4 star read!

The story starts with Brooke Powers who is a straight laced college girl. She wants to finish college and graduate with good grades, she's not looking to party her way her college like every other girl. She doesn't want to deal with all the drama and issues that being in the party scene brings. Her roommate finally convinces her to go to a frat party and just enjoy a night of being a young college girl. What's the worst that could happen right?

Enter Dean Parker, who lives in the frat house and is a frat brother. He only joined the frat because he thought it would help him make connections for different jobs after college. Dean finds out that Brooke's drink has been drugged and he offers to let her sleep it off. So what happens when good girl Brooke wakes up in Dean's bed, and can't remember how she got there? Will she bolt before Dean can even explain? Or will Dean be the guy to get through to her? Brooke's been hiding some secrets, secrets she wants no one finding out. Can she keep them hidden?

Blissful Valentine was SO good! I'd recommend it to everyone who likes New Adult or a sweet quick read! Grab your copy today!

This is a cute and sweet story. Meet Brooke. She is turning her life around and taking college seriously. All she wants to do is focus on her studies and double major. Her best friend and roommate, on the other hand, wants to party and find Mr. Right Now. Not wanting to break her spirit, Brooke tags along to a frat party even though that is the last thing she wanted to do. That is where everything changes. Dean has his eye on her. He is a brother in a fraternity where he doesn't want to be. Dean is focusing on a double major as well. He has his hopes set on working for a major company that of course has former brothers on the board. To him, joining the fraternity will help to ensure his future employment with the company. When they meet at the party, he protects her from being taken advantage of when she passes out. The next morning, Dean takes Brooke out for breakfast and tutors her on the ins and outs of frat parties. He asks her to become his wingman. She is very unsure of this because of her past and the secrets she wants to keep hidden. Will the secrets she is hiding be the end of the relationship or will she let her fear take over and never let the relationship begin? A feel good book with a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve and a determined boy who believes in love at first sight.

Valentine’s Day is the day of the year that single people get more depressed with the fact that they are alone. And those who are in a relationship try and remind each other why they love each other and why they are there in the first place. To really understand that you need to start at the humble beginnings.

This story has a very humble beginning.

It’s a quick story that follows Brooke and Dean as they struggle through the stereotypes of colleges and fraternities. Dean is a good guy that falls for Brooke instantly. Brooke falls for Dean just as quickly but she is scared that she will fall into old habits and she won’t be able to get back out.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the quick pace of the story because I didn’t know if I would be invested with the characters, but I was able to find myself rooting for the characters and wanting them to end up together.

Of course it wouldn’t be a good story without someone/something there to try and break up the happy couple. It’s a predictable twist and you can figure out in the end how they will end up back together, but like every other romantic comedy, predictability just makes for a happier ending because you know it all works out in the end.

There is a HEA with this story which would probably make it the worst Valentine’s Day book if I ever read one if they didn’t. There is a story-book ending as everything comes together. I would have liked more of a conclusion (perhaps an epilogue) but it did the job and it was a pleasant read.

Blissful Valentine by Amy L. Gale tells the story of a girl trying to change her life. During a rough time in high school, Brooke Powers rebels. She parties, hooks up, and does whatever she wants, without a care in the world.

Now that she has been accepted into college for a marketing and business degree, she is determined to turn her life around. She is going to go to class, study hard, and learn everything that she can. College is going well, at least for the first semester. When the second one starts, her roommate asks her to attend a fraternity party with her and she can’t refuse.

The party was everything that she thought it would be, until she met Dean Parker. Though she is determined to stay as far away from fraternities and the guys who live there, she is attracted to him. It doesn’t help that Dean is determined to show her that he is different over and over again. The two of them keep getting thrown together!

Amy L. Gale did it again. I love every one of her books that I have read. Blissful Valentine is no different. Readers will want to root for the couple – hoping that Dean is better than all of the other fraternity boys. They will want Brooke to let him in and give him a chance.

I can’t wait until Gale’s next book comes out – it will definitely be on my list of books to read!

Brooke Powers is a college freshman and the main character of Blissful Valentine by Amy L. Gale. Brooke is a reformed bad girl that wants nothing more than to finish her degrees and she plans on doing this by avoiding the party scene that surrounds her. She is succeeding at this until she allows herself to be coerced into going to a frat party by her best friend, Lexi.
While at the party Brooke literally runs into Dean Parker, a frat brother, and the two strike up a conversation. After one spiked drink and time spent hanging out with Dean, Brooke wakes up fully clothed and in Dean’s bed proving that he could possibly be a decent guy among all the fools she had previously associated with.
Through a series of events Brooke and Dean become good friends and then more, until Brooke’s past rears its ugly head. Shortly after Brooke had decided to take a chance on Dean, he proves that he is the same as everyone else, at least in Brooke’s mind he does. Was she right to hold back and save herself from being hurt? Or was the situation she found Dean involved in not what it seemed?
Do yourself a favor and read this novella, it’s great, and I know I will be reading more of Amy Gale in the future and will definitely recommend this sweet little story to my fellow readers.

Blissful Valentine by Amy Gale is a sweet, short, romantic novella. It was a great, quick read during the perfect time of the year, Valentine’s Day.

Brooke Powers is a 19-year-old college student trying to stay away from the party scene and finish college without any drama. Her roommate, Lexie, begs her to attend a Beta Omega fraternity party with her. She gives in to her please her although she would rather avoid going. With a past of bad experiences, will a chance encounter with a fraternity brother make her see things in a different light?

Dean Parker is a Beta Omega frat brother, college baseball player and Brooke’s handsome hero and wingman. When she accidentally drinks from a mixed cocktail that is drugged, Dean takes her to his room to take care of her. Will Brooke freak out and think she has turned to her old ways when she wakes up in Dean’s room? Will Dean be able to prove that he is not the typical fraternity guy and prove that he is worthy of more?

This is my first book by Amy L. Gale and I truly enjoyed this short romantic story. It is a well written quick read that sucks you in from the first page.
