My life was meticulously planned, and I refused to deviate from that path. While my peers were partying, I prepared for the future. Then a tragic event destroyed everything, and I learned that while I was looking ahead, I forgot to live in the moment.
Starting over seemed impossible until I met Cara McCarthy, who lived every day like it was her last. She opened my eyes to

**! this story was irritating, very frustrating and confusing because of the twisted notion of having these sexually charged and messed up teenagers with no sense of direction about the 'how to's' in growing up. Got lost during most of the storyline because the author kept switching these characters' partner back and forth: M/F to F/F (which was pissing me off) did not know who preferred who or what..both girls had lots of family issues/problems and even their own flaws from the start..then here ...more

:: 5 Tender Loving Stars ::

How do you fight for a love so strong when every obstacle imaginable stands in your way?

This book goes beyond the typical realm of romance. It is intriguing, gut wrenching, and beautiful all mixed together. There are many people out there that don’t allow people to have the choice in who they love and Teresa Mummert does an excellent job at bringing this out within the story.

When Ellie and Cara first meet, they assume their relationship will be a typical “step-sister”

This book was more than I expected. It was an emotional rollercoaster and I definitely recommend it! You will surely shed a tear (or tons).
Ellie and Cara felt so real that you just couldn't help but want everything to work out for them and be happy.
The only thing that makes me give it 4.5 and not 5 stars is that some characters had such sudden change of hearts! For example, Ellie's dad, after one conversation with her, changed his whole view.
Tristan and Brody were more complex, Tristan

“My free will is not a freedom at all. I have to be a certain person, follow arbitrary rules set by his own creations, or be locked away in a cage like a circus animal, poked and prodded by society until I give in and become one of them.”

So, Teresa Mummert has broken my F/F virginity, I do love M/M so I wasn’t that apprehensive about diving into this one but I still had a few jitters. I have to admit that I did think this would be a genre I

I want to start by telling you that I was apprehensive about reading this book. I am not one for f/f, m/m, etc. But it is Teresa-freaking-Mummert.... So I took the chance. I prayed that I was able to not only read it but to like it too! To say I was nervous is an understatement. I haven't read a book of Teresa's that I haven't been in love with!!!! Well, my prayers were answered. This book isn't like any other f/f book I have attempted to read, at all! So if you are having reservations, don't. I ...more

I'll admit F/F books aren't typically my thing. I was first intrigued by this book when I saw the teasers on Teresa's page. And I'm pretty willing to try anything once. Right now I'm so glad I took a chance on this story.

I'm going to skip the summary on this one because there's a lot to this book and I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. You either read the blurb and want to read the book or you just bypass it. I do hope you'll have an open mind and give it a try.

This is a beautifully craft

I finished this book last night with a beautiful smile on my face, and that's the word that keeps coming to mind as I think of what to write for my review. Beautiful. I loved Cara and Ellie. Ellie's beautiful soul and Cara's fire. I wanted more! I would have happily read hundreds of pages. And I think I'm in love with Brody :)

WOW! Where to begin...I can't say a whole lot without giving away spoilers...and I WON'T do that!

This story sent me on an emotional roller coaster! I felt it all...I was angry, sad, mortified, joyful, you name it I felt it:) It was a trying, yet beautiful love story chalk full of heartbreak, lust, secrets, family and so much more. Just when I think I have things figured out...BAM Teresa Mummert throws a curve ball! This book touches so many tough topics, centers on many types of relationships a

I fell hard for this book. Mummert is such a reliable story teller, I never know what to expect. Her characterizations and plot twists are second to none. The story of Ellie and Cara will own your heart. You have to hope these two can find a way to be together, every challenge making your heart clench. This book is actually my first f/f read, now that I think about it. I'm glad Mummert was the one to take me there. Lovers of this new adult trendsetter will not be disappointed.

When I came across the cover to The Good Girls, I knew I had to check it out. I was in the mood to read something outside of the box somewhat and The Good Girls was just the right book for that. I don't think I really ever read a true F/F book before. I've read books that just have moments or scenes that it's F/F but not a whole book dedicated to a F/F romance. Mummert really did a great job with The Good Girls, because at no point in time

This was better than I expected. IIRC a very influential reviewer panned Mummert's writing as subpar, years ago. Either Mummert has improved or that reviewer isn't the best judge of mechanics. I had some issues with the storytelling and characterization, not the writing itself.

The Good Girls starts out kind of melodramatic, with Ellie crying over the loss of her mother. She's moved in with her father and his new wife/gf? For some reason Cara is there also. She got sent away from home for kissin

*This book was given to me for a fair and honest review*

Good Girls blew me away. Blew. Me. Apart. Took me out of my comfort zone. Ripped a hole in my heart and neatly stitched it back together again. The storyline is something new, different, fresh. It is so against the cookie cutter stories that run rampant in the New Adult genre. It makes you think, makes you feel, makes you learn. Step outside of the box that has been built around this genre; read the Good Girls with an open mind and an open

Spoilery because I'm not sure how else to review this one.

After reading the first two books in the Outlander series, this book was a welcomed change. It was actually my first same sex romance that I have read. But PLEASE... Do NOT let that turn you away from this WONDERFUL book!

Every book that Teresa Mummert writes I say is her best and how much I love it...then I read her next and have to change my mind. I'm not saying that this time though because this book is in a whole other category. It surpasses what I'd normally say.

From page one you can feel each character's emotions as if they were your own. This isn't your typical boy/girl love story. It's not your typical Teresa Mummert book where you are going to have some crazy plot twist. It's a story about two girls who

My first actual F/F full novel. Very sweet, sexy, great characters and the best part it gave me The Feels. In a world where we are still being judged for who we love, this is a captivating story about how two young friends who become family and how they over come those obstacles. Give it a try. I’ve had my eye on The Good Girls for a while, and decided to snap it up when it was on sale. I finally made time to read it but I thought it to be a little different from what the blurb portrayed. Don’t get me wrong, it was still a good read, but I expected it to be a lighter kind of read with some sizzling scenes to get me blushing. The Good Girls was about two girls who are a little unsure about their sexuality, and how they deal with the feeli

I will admit I was a little unsure when I sat down to start this book. Though I love M/M books I have only ever read one other F/F book and lets just say it didn't go over well. Eek! I love Teresa’s writing whether it be her Facebook status’s or her books. The lady just has a way of writing, and if you have ever read her bio at the back of her books you will know what I mean. When I saw, Teresa had a book up for review I literally ripped her hand off and bugged her constantly for three days until it arrived on my Kindle. I don't like to know about a story often because I would make a judgement about it not being my kind of book. I did know this was about two girls who fall i ...more

I just today realised where I heard this author's name before, and it was in the authors behaving badly kerfuffle on goodreads and, you know, the internets. Uh oh, wish I had known that sooner. Should have checked that out.

I’m so glad that Teresa gave up her career as a Russian spy and decided to become an author. Had she not given up the exciting career of international espionage, she would not been able to give us amazing books like this one. I felt ever emotion this book went through and really opened my eyes to the emotions of not tell people who you really are and the hate crime that still goes on in this world. I only hope one day soon people will stop being so simple minded and mind their own business.

Ahhhmazing!!!!!

This book absolutely did me in and I would love to read more like it. I can definitely relate to this book and i guess thats why I love it so much. Every gay girl needs a guy best friend and every straight girl needs a gay guy bestfriend (THEY ARE THE BEST) I must say this book took my breath away. Not many authors want to venture into homosexuality, but im sooo glad someone did. Thank you Teresa Murmmert!!!!!
