From USA Today Bestselling Authors India R Adams and Nikki Landis, Tethered by the Sea is a moving, coming-of-age love story that blends a touch of dark mythology with aching humanity.
While raised in the shadow of a motorcycle club, Maddox was unaware that a boundless oath protected him. But on his tenth birthday, tragedy tore his world apart when gunfire erupted and a disastrous accident took place on a bridge, sending Maddox over the edge and into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
He should have died.
Instead, something in the water saved him.
Now without his protectors, Maddox spends the rest of his childhood running from his past and into a newfound family that he never saw coming. Even though they hold the broken pieces together with the tender thread of healing, none of that stops the ancient hold that followed him from the Atlantic.
Maddox’s grief hardens him into a dangerous, scorned young man who continues to be tethered to a mystical presence waiting beneath the tide.
His past refuses to stay buried because the ocean never truly let him go.

Whether India’s characters are feeling the heat from hell or the wings of grace, they are all transforming and want to share their journey with you. Her novels range from Dark MC, Paranormal, to Contemporary, but each story is either a path of destruction or a road to redemption.
Sometimes both.
So, if you want to read about voyages of the heart, the grit to rise from one’s knees, or the strength to break free of the binds of a spirit, then pick one of India’s stories because she believes damaged souls are worth saving and that there is nothing more beautiful than a soul on fire.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Nikki Landis for the ARC of Tethered by the Sea.
Knowing Nikki loves to write paranormal in her MC books, there is no surprise that the paranormal would be featured in this. What was a surprise was how immediately hooked I was on the story. This book was not something I originally thought was going to hook me as much as it did.
Both Nikki Landis and India R. Adams have wholly submerged their readers in a tale of loss and of need. But the both of them also give us a miracle that comes at the perfect time- at a time where the heart and soul are stretched to an unimaginable end. Nikki and India give us heartbreak, but also the light at the end of the tunnel. They give us a touch of dark mythology with aching humanity.
The struggles that these characters- especially Maddox, have had to go through in such a short period of time. The fact that they are able to band together to form such strong relationships in a relatively short period of time is a testament to their strength and resilience.
I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what the next two books in the Saltbone Sinners MC brings to the readers.
This book Simply put is amazing and stunning, the writing team of India and Nikki it just blew me away. This isn't your typical MC romance so don't think that's what you're going to get with this story. But I have to say that's not a bad thing because this story took me on such a journey that I couldn't put it down. Did I lose sleep? Yes, I did because this book kept me so engrossed and enthralled that I could not put it down to close my eyes. This story follows a young boy and his story starts at the age of 10 getting ready to take a ride with his dad on his dad's bike with the rest of his dad's MC, from this point things get dicey and I'm not going to go into details because I don't want to give too much of this story away and if I do talk too much about it I will. I loved Noma and how much she loved her baby boy. When I think of her it truly brings tears to my eyes for all she suffered and went through for those she loved. Then there are the misfits I loved every single one of them and I cannot wait to see more of their stories. This book left me in shock and awe with the twists that I never expected. I am in love with this series and I've only read the first book I can't wait for what is in store for me next, so write faster!
I was a little nervous going into this because when one of my favorite authors co-writes with an author I’ve never read, I usually end up disappointed. Not this time. Wow. The beautiful poetic-prose that India R. Adams is known for, is very much in this story. It’s tragic. It’s beautiful. Maddox, a boy, has grown up experiencing heartache and heartbreak first hand. We go through his trials along with him. So much loss. So much to learn. He goes under hiding. Under a new name. A new family. And that foster family? They become his brothers. His sisters. But nothing lasts forever. He’s mad. He’s mad at the men that took his family. He’s mad at the men that hurt the siblings he’s gained. And he makes a list, vowing to seek vengeance. This is a story about a boy turning into a man and how the world shapes him. It’s suspenseful. Lyrical. Magical. Sorrowful. And full of so much hope.
“I was a young man who had been to Hell, not sure if he could find his way back, yet fought to become a leader. A brother. A man who dared to give two fucks. Illusion or imagination…? It was neither.”
I’m so eager for book two and three. Waiting till September will be agony!
What is the truest form of unconditional love? It is the powerful lesson of allowing destiny to fulfill its path and reaching for the tether to keep the strength of love in your heart, even through the hardest parts.
India R Adams and Nikki Landes have submerged us in a miraculous tale of need, of loss, and of miracles that choose to bring themselves to the light when a heart and soul is hanging on by a thread.
Tethered By the Sea is a Saltbone Sinners MC novel that suspends our traditional beliefs and allows hope and love to float into our souls, immersing us in the warmth of the water that birthed our need to connect and overcome life obstacles.
This collaboration with Nikki and India pulled me in from the very beginning and left me wanted more when it ended. Maddox, has been through more heartache and loss than any one person should have to endure being so young. Eventually things seem to calm for a bit and he finds himself with people who become his chosen brothers and sister, but nothing lasts forever and his life implodes again He’s mad. He’s mad and he makes a list, vowing to get vengeance. This book held my attention and I absolutely loved it. I'm ready for books 2 and 3 now.
Maddox life is upturned during his 10th birthday treat, he is behind his dad on a club ride and tragedy strikes. 5 years later his life is knocked sideways again. For the next few years he and his foster siblings become a family with tight bonds holding each other together.
What a powerful, beautifully written story. It’s emotional, raw and riveting. Drenched in heartache, turmoil, trauma, unconditional love and anger with a twist of paranormal. I can’t wait for the story to continue with the next book.
5* I went into this book not knowing what to expect at all. The book completely blew me away I couldn't put it down. A young boy Maddox sets out for a ride with his mc family and wakes to the name of Johnny moving around with his Nona. Suffering so much loss and forming incredible bonds with his foster family vowing to avenge all that he can. I seriously can't wait for the next book Anchored to the storm.
