Did I burst out laughing on like page 2? You bet I did.

I read this to a group of preschoolers and really hammed up the yawns as I lifted the flaps (especially the turtle). The kids were exclaiming over the animals' teeth. Even the teachers were into this book and one of them made sure I did the turtle yawn again after I'd finished reading the book.

A perfect bedtime story for the youngest readers, this book makes everyone yawn!
On each page is an animal who is tired. On the first page, a large kitten smiles at the reader. When the words say, “Look, the kitten is yawning,” the reader lifts the flap on the kitten’s face and sees the kitten yawn. And so it goes with a raccoon, hippo, crocodile and more. The story ends with a pile of sleeping animals, including the child. Featuring scary animals, like a snake, and introducing new animals, like ...more

This is a cute bedtime story. This book could be useful when teaching about different animals. Parents and children would both love this book because it can help children wind down from their day, and help their parents while reading this book by lifting up the flaps. The author goes over the different characteristics of the animals, such as pointing out how the snake's tongue is different. I love how the author illustrated the animals as well.

This book is absolutely adorable. What a creative use of flaps. This is a great bedtime story. Simple, but very fun.
The illustrations are very cute. There is a flap on almost every page, which adds a fun and engaging element to the book.

Everyone is Yawning is a perfect book to read to young children to engage them in a read aloud. each page talks about a different animal and has a flap in which can move when the line says they are yawning. On the pages, they can talk about the different animals and it shows them the features they might not have ever known about an animal before. I love how this at the end includes a young child becomes sleep too so it isn't just all about animals it can be about people too.

I couldn't read this book without yawning repeatedly. Actually, even as I'm trying to write about it now I'm yawning! Interestingly, it didn't make F yawn. She loves lift-the-flap books so I predicted (correctly) that this one would be enjoyable for her. She has asked for it a few different times since bringing it home from the library. I found the easy-reader-style text in this book just so-so, but the illustrations were cute and flaps are always fun for toddlers.

This is a great pre-bedtime book. The text is very simple & after yawning for each animal, I was tired, so hopefully it would have the same effect on kids. Even if it doesn’t, the pictures are adorable, even the snake (& it takes a REALLY cute picture for me to say that about a snake) and lifting the flaps to make each animal yawn is a lot of fun.

What a fun read-aloud! A perfect use of flaps -- I loved looking in all those mouths. Who hasn't watched a critter yawn and taken a closer look? The text is simple, just right for reading to younger kids, and the bold bright illustrations suit it perfectly. Nice design and colour scheme, and sturdy pages and flaps to withstand multiple readings. Really cute. (And good going-to-bed prep.)

This book is definitely one of the best for new readers. Great use of sight words and easily sounded words, and interactive to boot! As a bonus, getting your kid to "yawn" for the animals can turn into legit yawns that make bed time easier. Got this book at our local library, but definitely buying a copy to keep... and maybe a few more for my friends' kids.

A series of animals followed a child are tired and yawn before falling asleep.
This lift-the-flap book shows many different animals as well as a little boy yawning at the end of the day before going to bed. Young readers will enjoy the interactive element.
This would make an excellent bedtime routine book.

We found this book at the library today. It has really cute illustrations. Each animal also has a mouth that flips open so that it looks like it is yawning. My mommy acts out the yawning noises and I open up the animal's mouth. Interactive and a cute read.

A very repetitive book, and not really exciting, but it got all the parents in my "parents and twos" storytime yawning. Young kids like lift the flap books, and this book went over fine, but you see the inside of a mouth inside each of these flaps, so there isn't a lot of diversity.

A simple flap book for preschoolers with double spreads of different animals. When you open the flap over their mouths they are yawning. In the end so is a child.

Really cute lift-the-flap book. It would be great for a toddler story time!

This book is perfect for all those parents who's children just will not go to sleep. You can't help but yawn when reading this book. And children always love life-the-flaps!

A very cute and interactive read that would be perfect for bed time! This story can also be used to introduce animals and their teeth. Definitely can be a very humorous read for you and the child.
