A good book full of international hunting adventures back in a day when hunting was less crowded and things more easily got western. Jack had to use old fashioned gear that existed at the time but was so tough that he made it work in very unforgiving environments (e.g. freeze-dried food was less available). The bongo hunt in Zaire among cannibal tribes was incredible.

Great book—full of stories of adventures that any ordinary would dream about, but also the many within reach if one would hike the miles Jack hiked!
