WARNING: These are SHORT STORIES written for established fans of the Jane True Series.
You know her, you love her, you wanted more of her…
Something’s not right in Rockabill. First Gus, the stone-spirit, collapses and wakes up a tit-starer. Then a human runaway is murdered, followed shortly by a vulnerable shape-shifter. Can Jane and her friends figure out who-done-it before someone else is killed? And why do these murders seem so terribly familiar? Basic Incubus takes you back to Jane’s point of view and proves that even the baddest bad hat gets his comeuppance.

Yay, Jane True!! Yay, Anyan Barghest! Yay Ryu....whatever his last name was! I love that Nicole Peeler is still revisiting this world on a regular basis--I was sad at the end of Jane's series because, while it ended in a perfectly satisfying manner, I was going to miss all the kick-ass characters and their crazy antics. I love me some Trueniverse.
Anway, if you've read the Jane True stores and loved them, then you'll love this novella. I hope we'll see more from our favorite supernatural, ass-kicking gang.
Women are being mutilated, killed, and left near supernatural businesses. Jane and her friends decide to find out who is behind the murders. Have old enemies come back or is there something new in Rockabill?
Really interesting story. Quick read. Well worth reading.
This novella is written after the Jane True series ends. You should definately read the series before continuing with the novella.
