The archivists are defeated, but their plan was already set in place. A new lisincend has emerged, more dangerous than before. Incendin still possesses the powerful artifact. And a spirit shaping placed on the king must be released.
Tan has potential to be a warrior shaper—one who can shape all the elements—but shaping doesn’t work for him the same as with other shapers. While he struggles to control his new magic, his friends work to free the king from the spirit shaping. When this fails, a search for another who can help leads Tan to use an uncontrolled shaping, changing him into the one thing he fears the most.
Before he can save the kingdoms, he must save himself. Doing so takes him away from everyone—and everything—he knows. With his both friends and the draasin in danger, can Tan master his abilities in time to stop a decades old plan?
5 stars - English ebook - thirth book of the saga - you won't harm her again. You might control mutch power, warrior, but you are untrained. And there is mutch you do not know. - Tannen tries to uncover what the lisened want. What is their goal? And why did his mother, who he thought was death, did not come for him? And why does he has a connection with the draaisen? How dos he shape? Who is the true enemy of the kingdom? - what he wanted to know wasn't even in the archives, but below it. -🌹🌷🌹
Tan has now grown into a true cloud warrior, but he knows that he is different from others. Tan is dragged through hell without going there. The action is are fever pitch, don't blink or someone will double cross you.
This book is not at the same level than previous books in the series.
Sometimes a bad review is more a reflection of the readers expectations, than an opinion of the intelectual work of an author. This is specially true when the author is obviously talented, has a knack for story telling, and has a history of delivering quality works. This author is very talented, and I dived into this book eager to continue the solid story presented in the series.
But this was not a good book.
The story is rushed, inconsistent with previous works, and unimaginative. New elements are not developed but thrown in the face of the reader with zero regards to pace.
It is a weak and poor representation of the authors talented imagination, and dedication.
If I had half the talent this author has, perhaps I would not feel so bad for trying to review this. But man I am angry that this series took this turn.
Well, it read like the end of a trilogy, but I'm the 4th book, so I guess not. The whole King situation was handled very, very fast, so the plot is sort of back to book 1 (without the barrier). Tan, the MC, acts more like a 40 year old guy coming to an Elemental magic heavy world as the main character in a computer game. Light kisses with the gf, a mentally connected one, with no horny thoughts - not even once - is rather weird for a 17 year old boy with hormones raging and constant near death experiences.
From the book: "I will stop the Incinden. I will stop the lisincend. And I will help the draasin." No progress, though, a number of people are dead.
In this one, our protagonist Tan finally learns his power and how to shape. He finds himself on speaking terms with the four great elementals, fire, water, earth and air. He finds he must combine these four in order to call up the fifth, spirit. Tan finally finds out who is really causing the majority of the problems in the kingdoms, and while confronting this person, he finds out how fortunate he is not to have confronted him earlier. Tan spend a lot of this book questioning himself and trying new ways to shape, questioning Aria, questioning his mother. I found myself getting a bit bogged down in all the questions. I really did enjoy riding the dragon again, though.

I'm really enjoying this series. It's the kind of modern update on classic fantasy that I love reading. That is, it keeps that feeling of classic fantasy but tells it with the faster pacing you see in more modern fantasy. Holmberg doesn't waste time with needless description. The plot is always moving along, and all the action and mysteries have me wanting to read more.
These books are so good I find it very hard to put it down. I just can’t stop because I want to know what happens so I can get to the next book. Suspense, surprises. Just about anything you can thing of. So long. On to the next.
Character development was excellent and kept me wanting to read the next, the next and so forth. Highly recommended to lovers of science fantasy. You won't be disappointed!
What happened to Elle? Don't leave me in suspense. Great stopping point and I still need more. My only problem is I am at a spot with no internet and now I have to wait for the next book! NNNNNOOOOOOOO
When the shaping that controls the king's mind proves beyond Amia's power to heal, she and Tan go off to get more training. But the fire-shapers of Inscendin are not done with their aims just yet. Lots of growth for Tan, not so much Amia.
Another good entry on the series, not quite so good as the previous ones, the beginning is kind of slow and doesn’t add much to the story, however, from the middle to the end, the book ignites and the story gets on fire.
Book 3 is in the bag, and honestly, I enjoyed it just as much as the others. They are all short little books, about a kid who's smarter than the adults and finally, the adults are starting to understand that.
Love reading these books as you don't know what will be coming next. Looking forward to seeing what book 4 holds and all the challenges Tan and his gang of friends have.
I want to know what's behind the..., Oops this book was filled with, rage ,drauna, betrayal, loss ,renewal and love. It leaves the reader wanting more.
The books are good enough to be 5 star, but I wish there wasn't so much fluff in the forum of tons of totally stupid questions and repeated questions and thoughts. I want to make it 4 or less because of all the irritation, but I won't
I have absolutely loved the Cloud Warrior Saga, the imagination of the entire series held my attention. It was great to just dive right into the story and get lost, in a very good way. That being said I move on to my thoughts on this series editing. Some of my ratings on these books were four stars instead of the five stars it would have deserved, I will give you a few of the reasons why I think this. The first is editing errors, whomever the "EDITOR" is needs to actually read the books. My next criticism is about how not all the books are marked properly (in the synopsis portion where you read what the e-book is about) with the order in which to read them. Also whomever did that whole debacle with the books order sucks and is off the Christmas list. I unintentionally read a few books out of order due to this. Someone please let all these editor's know not to add in a book later, then call it book 2.5. Holding back such minimal content is annoying, next time put the books that are under a hundred pages together in one book. I would pay extra to have that little convenient option. My last complaint is that I have just downloaded book eight in this series which makes me sad because I do not want the story to end. I highly enjoyed these books, the short little books in the series were more like short stories but that is just typical for me as I read fast. I had hoped the books would get magically longer that what they last more than one evening. Also I will be copying and pasting this review to the other books since it is more of a generalized review, plus it was not a spoiler review either; hate those. Buying any of these books in this series is worth it the imagination of them is great and the adventures are awesomely lively, enjoy!! -rcc

This series just gets better and better. Lots of action and plot twists in this one and the plot develops and new complexities arise. Highly recommended reading for anyone who loves fantasy adventure. Great characters in this story and is an engaging read. Ready for the next in the series. This is a rare original story.
I loved this SO much. I am so glad I read this series! I love that out isn't the typical strong woman saves everyone book that it's so popular now..yes the main character is a man...but he needs help from the woman he loves. The save each other and are strong together. They are both amazing! I never expected to like this series so much!! Thanks to kindle. unlimited I am reading more unknown authors. This is a clean book for those of you who care! I hope I will enjoy the authors other books as much. This is comparable to Terry Brooks or Jeff Wheeler"s books.
Another excellent book in the series. He gets more control but still has a ways to go to finish his growth. The aftermath was a bit brief but well see how the next book goes. If you enjoy heroic characters with good and evil and some plot twists you'll enjoy this book.
Wow! These book was just great. I think these ties are getting better and better with each book. At first the series were a bit confusing and action was missing. Now the only thing missing is the artifact.
I love how this author write and this is the first series I've read from him. I'm waiting to finish this books to read more from his book, because I hope they are just like this one
A slow burning fire, building too a great heat and a great hero.
The third novel is up to the promise of the first two. As Tan grows into his abilities he is beset by temptation and betrayal. He gains and grows. The finale is giving to be awesome!!!
I read this a while ago and am going through my read books on Amazon to add them to goodreads. The series is a good one although towards the later books (book 7) The stories seems to be shorter and not as good due to some character growth issues that you don't see at this point in the books.
