About the author

Ellen is an award-winning fiction writer, freelance writer and retired insurance fraud investigator. She is excited about her mystery/dual-time series, Show Me Mysteries, set in her picturesque hometown of Mexico, Missouri. Scrivenings Press released the first book of the series, Show Me Betrayal, May 16, 2023. It was a dual finalist in the American Christian Fiction Writer's 2024 Carol Awards in the Debut Novel and Mystery/Suspense/Thriller categories. It was the Scrivenings Press Reader's Choice Award for Best Mystery/Suspense for 2023. Book two in the series, Show Me Deceit, released May 14, 2024 and won the Scrivenings Press Reader's Choice Award for Best Mystery/Suspense for 2024 . Book three in the series, Show Me Skullduggery, will be published May 2025.

This is a fun collection of "couples" in situations "out of their element" overcoming challenges and dangers that bring them together to find happy endings.

Such a sweet and fun collection! If you're wanting something different, this is definitely it. Each story weaves in an element of weather (wind, fire, etc) to push their characters a bit extra. But all are so different and individual, it keeps you wondering what will happen next and how the authors will work things out for that happy ending we all love.
