Zade’s state of mind throughout the book is clearly quite damaged and I did find that reflected in the choppy and somewhat fractured style of the book very well. I very much enjoyed the ease in which the story could go from being told in the present day to events that happened in the past!

That being said there were a few parts of the book I didn’t enjoy reading at all. I found them dark, terribly depressing and sinister and I felt very uncomfortable with them. Some parts were definitely harder
