While I agree with most conclusions, most of it had me saying…”Well, duh!” Though the author admitted upfront that the book was not intended to be tactical, the arguments are so grandiose that tactical and nuanced arguments need to be made (e.g., arguing for patient centricity without directly calling for single payer healthcare systems, calling for diversified supply chains at cost to manufacturer without explaining how to remedy the costs, etc.). Ultimately, the lack of support for its arguments – and perhaps the author’s writing style – made me feel like the book might as well have been written by ChatGPT…

A timely book for the strategic importance of medical/pharmaceutical research in this age of disinformation and distrust. This book is especially important for those who have decision making roles within the industry, but I appreciated the message as a patient, and as an advocate in my personal life for vaccines and belief in the scientific method/advances.

brilliant

This is an excellent book by a top executive in the industry offering a blueprint both for biotechnology leaders and policymakers. Very strong recommendation to read.
