okay this was a cute novella of Chris and Trixie getting married.
it felt more emotional and cute. we get moments with the siblings the little angst of the memories of the mom and wanting her to be there.

the siblings being so cute together. and a hint? that maybe Julie's has a boyfriend?!?!? whatttttt

beside that the vows really got to me. we also see Luke aka the rooster pov.
little spice high on emotions.

I’m a sucker for a HEA novella. When Amy said we’re going to get all the Kingman weddings this year I kicked my feet like a little schoolgirl. Of course we need to start with Chris and Trixie. As silly as this book is there are so many sweet tear jerker moments. From the draft for your best man/ person to the flashback where we get to see early moments of the couple. Of course we have lots of chaos caused by Luke Skycocker. I love how we get to see everyone in the family have their moment. The speeches were perfect! Novellas like this make my heart so happy because it’s all the cute without the drama.

Hello Everyone! This is Sandra, Queen Empress of my amazing Bookdom! I mean why just be a Queen or just an Empress when you can be both!! Anyway, we are here today to review this amazing book – How To Train Your Groomzilla by Amy Award. All I can say is SHE DID IT AGAIN!!

This book gets 5 stars, or in this case 5 Stormtrooper Roosters!

This is a Novella, meaning it is shorter than a full length book and can be easily finished in one sitting. The main characters are Christopher Bridger Kingman, or Chris, and Beatrix Andromeda Moore, or Trixie. These characters are from the very first book I read in this series which was The C&ck Down The Block and I am so very happy that I loved this novella as much as I had loved the book!

As you read you will see snippets of flashbacks from Chris and Trixie, you will enjoy some of the pre-wedding activities Kingman style, the shenanigans of a chaotic wedding (as most weddings are), and I feel most importantly the contributions of Luke Skyc0cker himself!

As I read I was either outrageously laughing out loud, the laughs where your belly shakes and the other people in your house are calling out “What are you doing?”, or I was tearing up at the emotional parts that made me remember my own wedding and the chaos it entailed. This book truly caught the fact that anything can, and will, happen at weddings yet you get through them and cherish the stories forever. It shared family values and love. It shared snippets of the wedding, enough to fill a Novella and make us feel as if we were there.

The one small part I did not like was that based on the title I felt that more should have been in there on him being a Groomzilla. It was alluded to yet played a very minor part. Yet, as Luke Skyc0cker calls him, “that Trixie Stealing Skin Goblin”, created a wonderful wedding for Trixie.

AHHH Chris and Trixie's wedding is here!!! If you know me, you know I LOVE THE KINGMAN'S and The Cocky Kingman's Series and that I never shut up about them. Amy has started a new series giving us a glimpse of each couples wedding and it of course starts with the oldest of the Kingman crews love story to his childhood best friend and their crazy chaotic rooster, Luke.

Seeing their wedding and how Chris was FREAKING OUT about all the little details was sooo fun and honestly reading about these two again was sooo refreshing! Jules having a 'talking to' with Luke had me DYINGGGG!! This novella was honestly PERFECT in my eyes and literally had me in tears!! First 5 star of the year and I'm honestly dying to read about the upcoming weddings of this fun, crazy and pure hearted family with a hint of spice added lol.

Thank you Amy for letting me get the book a day in advance, I absolutely ADORED it and appreciate getting to see Trixie and Chris happily ever after!!!

The Kingman family is back with a fun new WEDDING novella! Chris and Trixie are getting hitched and our lovable oldest Kingman is just beside himself because he wants Trixie's day to be perfect. This is a quick fluffy read that I HIGHLY suggest you read to help your brain escape everything going on right now. Amy's books are fluff and this one is no exception. There are tender moments, steamy moments, and laugh out loud moments. Luke Skycocker is quite the character!

When I heard that the Kingman siblings were getting their own miniseries comprised of novellas centered around each couple’s wedding - sign me up!

This is one of my absolute favorite families. Amy Award was my Most Read Author of 2025 and I’m hoping this year is filled with more releases and novellas.

This book was only about 90 pages, but it had it all! Spicy spice, sweet emotional wedding vows and utter hilarity in the form of chapters in the POV of Luke Skycocker, Trixie’s trusty rooster. Multiple times I giggled out loud.

I got the ARC yesterday and stayed up to finish it because I knew I couldn’t sleep until I finished it! So sweet. I adored Chris and Trixie and loved that we got more time with them. Cannot wait for the rest!! I so hope we get more of the animal POVs. They’re the best! 🐓

I cannot fully express in words how much I’ve been missing some of the OG kingman couples. I’m sitting patiently (impatiently) waiting for Kelseys book- my little weiner the pooh who inspired me to get an actual weiner dog called weiner the pooh! It’s all just so cute and so perfect. These novella’s are a precious idea. This one specifically was Luke Skycocker’s book, um- I mean Chris and Trixies book I guess... Either way I loved it. I love all three of them so much, one happy chaotic little family. I sped through this with a smile on my face. Lots of laughs and LOTSSS of swoon worthy moments. It was fun and goofy and everything we’ve come to lvoe and expect form them. I can’t WAIT for Kelseys..... Hopefully itll be soon.

So you have read the whole Kingman series and need more before the next books come out? Well, this one is for you! Going back to the first couple, we finally get to read about Chris and Trixie getting married! In all their Kingman glory, you know exactly how crazy the wedding is going to be.

I loved seeing more of Chris and Trixie and the whole family! Plus we got a point of view from a character you love (if you’ve read the books). It was so much fun to read this novella! But also why did it give me the feels? But that is honestly how Amy writes and I love it!

Basically you are going to love revisiting this couple and feel some things.

I mean that with every fiber of my being! From the first time I read Luke Skycocker, I have been in love with all things Kingman! It's bad enough that I see similarities between all things Kingman and everything I read and/or watch. When Louisa Madrigal shows up in Encanto...see where I'm going with this?! Another favorite series of mine, The Brash Brothers by Jenna Myles, has some amazing similarities, as well!!

I am NOT implying that anyone is plagiarizing anything! If you're a reader, you know that we can make connections between stories with every story...ever. I love seeing such connections, especially when they occur between some of my favorite stories!!

Happy Release Day to this wonderfully sweet and spicy Cocky Kingman novella!! I fell in love with the Cocky Kingman series after reading the first book, The C*ck Down The Block, featuring Chris and Trixie. They are childhood friends, who finally admit their feelings for each other, and now in this amazing novella we get to see them getting married and living their happily ever after! This story made me laugh, smile, and even had me tearing up a bit! This novella may be short, but it is full of love, family, and some shenanigans from the beloved Luke Skycocker. I am so excited for this new novella series and I can’t wait for the next one!

Honestly? I was not at all ready to let the Kingmans go.. luckily I don't have to just yet! Amy Award came in clutch and delivered a fantastic wedding novella for one of my all time favorite romances. This is just short and sweet all around, I really enjoyed it! 🐔

I love seeing the Kingman siblings bond together over this wedding, it makes me wish I had a big family like them. Luckily I can live vicariously through them! 😅

Your books **never** fail to make me giggle, blush, and fully scream inside 😍😂 And when I tell you I **LOVE** that rooster 🐓—he is hands-down my favorite side character! His inner monologue absolutely steals the show every single time, I swear I live for his scenes 😂

And WOW—their love story?! Completely one for the books. Adding this novella was the **perfect** cherry on top, truly top-tier, elite, chef’s kiss perfection ✨📚 I am *obsessed* and already counting down to seeing the rest of the Kingsman brothers get married and engaged because I already know it’s going to be iconic.

I absolutely adore this idea for a book — revisiting the couples afterward — after their book is out and you’re wondering where their lives are now. Plus, since I love this family of characters so much, I just devour every lit bit of the storyline that I can!! And with the words “Hayes’ voice tightened” I was basically bawling like a baby for the rest of the book, even though most of the tears were happy tears. I can’t wait for Declan and Kelsey‘s novella we’re just coming up next! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Am i obsessed with Amy's books 100% Especially when it comes to the Kingman family so when i found out Amy had decided to write these novella's i went to the Zon so fast. I put myself in a do not disturb mode ( hid away to read in peace) to read this and it did not disappoint. Getting to finally have the wedding of Chris and Trixie's ahh so happy hilarious to have more from Luke's perspective and just to see how this family has changed over the years how these two love each other it gives you all the feels. Absolutely cannot wait for the rest and also miss Amy mentioning Jules boyfriend.... cannot wait to see who the lucky stroke very brave man.

This novella was just straight up adorable!

I loved revisiting the couple that started this series. Chris wanting to make everything perfect for Trixie warmed my heart.

The bond between the Kingmans is so special and I always wish I could be a part of their family.

This was perfect for anyone who loves the Kingmans and who’s not ready to let this series go (I’m gonna cry the moment the final book drops)

I can’t wait for the next book in this novella series!

Amy books always put me in such a good mood. Whether it’s the fun hilarious animal antics or the swoony romance with plus size women finding the sweetest Kingman’s to fall for. This novella gives a bit of everything. I loved getting a little more backstory for when Trixie moved in next door. Those first moments of childhood besties. I loved the Kingman family dynamics and how they decided who should be the best man/woman. But the best is the chapters from Luke Skycocker. Go grab this novella. 🐓

This completely unexpectedly showed up in my inbox and I’m not mad about it. January is long and dark, and Amy’s fluff in an extended happily ever after for Chris and Trixie is the perfect cure. This novella is filled to the brim with the wholesome Kingman chaos we all know and love, and secretly wish we could be a part of as well. Just like all of the other books in this universe, it’s silly and sweet. The dirty talk was a bit cringy, but this was still a good time. You should not read this as a stand alone under any circumstances. You actually need to have read all of the 5 other books that have already been released before you get to this one as there are major spoilers for each sibling in this novella. For as short as it is, it’s loaded with spice!

I love this series! This is a novella about Chris and Trixie’s wedding!

This family is so fun and sweet. I love reading about them. This is a feel good lighthearted HEA.

I want to be a part of this family, supportive and they all love each other so purely. We get the family element with the romantic and humor side of this series also.

You need to read The cock down the block first. Best to read the first few books in this series to avoid any spoilers.

I LOVE the whole Cocky Kingsman series, so I’ve been really excited to read these wedding novellas!

This one was a really quick read and it was fun to revisit Chris and Trixie since we don’t get to see much from them with the younger siblings. Some of Chris’s jokes were a little cheesy, and he seemed especially horny in this book, but their wedding was super cute and I loved the little entries from Luke Skycocker 😂

Absolutely loved getting more of Chris and Trixie. Out of all the Kingman Chris would absolutely be the groomzilla. It was perfect getting more Kingman family shenanigans. Luke reports are hilarious. The wedding and best man speech were so perfect and beautiful. Can’t wait for the rest of these crazy Kingman weddings.

A perfect spinoff series!

I have been obsessed with the Cocky Kingman series and I am absolutely loving this spinoff showcasing the weddings. I want to live in this world and have this just adds another dimension. Amy, please, please keep all the Kingman chaos coming! If you haven't read the series, go now! What are you waiting for?! Its hilarious, full of funny banter, hilariously cheesy puns, innuendo, feisty animals, and swoony, spicy love stories! I cant get enough!

This is such a fun read! It had me laughing, swooning and even tearing up a few times. Trixie and Chris are just so perfect together. And Luke truly is the best rooster ever. "Someone Grab That Chicken." This was such a nice novella after our HEA to see what comes next. The love the Kingsman's have for each is always so nice, I loved the fact we got Jules Chapters.

The Luke skycocker chapters, I was giggling throughout, I am so excited for all of these Novellas!
