Wow, wow, wow!! This story was so enthralling and ended way too soon! I adore Miranda's writing and this has been my favorite book of hers yet! I immediately wanted to reread the book after I finished with the knowledge that I had, and I love it when I find books like that. The world building is intricate and expansive and sucked me in from the very beginning. And the characters! Miranda does found family so well! I don't want to say too much here and give anything away, but this is going to be one of my top reads of the year and I am feral for the next one!!

I am sitting here collecting my thoughts.
This book has the epic world building and magic systems that give me the things I love most about fantasy and witches! The characters are diverse all with their own agendas that had me flipping through pages faster than I could process.
Hide the Witches gives you some of those delicious elements of Crescent City and Heartless Hunter and mixes it all together to create something new and epic.
I read 70% of this book without realizing where I was in the book because the pacing and story flowed so well. At some points I forgot I was even reading.
Each twist had me gasping, every turn had me scrambling to keep going because there's no way that what I just read happened! right?!? RIGHT!? (SEND HELP. iykyk)
This book brings me back to the witchy elements that brought me to Miranda's door step the first time. It reminded me why I continue to stay. Her worlds are unlike anything I've experienced and I wish I was in them too.
This journey is the start of something wonderful and I will sit *not so patiently* as I await book 2!

THE JAW WAS DROPPED!!! ALL.THE.STARS.
OMG - this book - will live rent free in my brain forever! Miranda - thank you for the opportunity to read this as an ARC. I cannot wait to read it 17 more times this year! This will likely be one of my top 2026 reads - and it is only February.
I was so consumed by this story - the world building is absolutely amazing, the characters each in their own way grew on me and I felt so connected to them all.
I love a good witchy read, with trials, betrayals, familiars, found fam (literally one of my favs), plot twists, dragons, witch vs. hunter, THE BANTER, the tension, the absolute feminine rage.
This releases on April 20 - and do yourself a favor - add this as a MUST read - you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
I will just be sitting over here impatiently waiting for book 2.

Okay, I finished this literary masterpiece a few days ago and have been sitting with my thoughts… but I will try to formulate a review to the best of my ability.
Hide the Witches utterly consumed me from the start of the prologue. I have over 300 highlights on my kindle. THREE HUNDRED. Miranda, you absolutely SMASHED this book. HTW creates a world filled with political intrigue: a magical dystopian society, genocide, systemic oppression, abuse of power. It’s riveting and addictive, and you will NOT want to put the book down. Miranda knows how to end a chapter… esp when you’re saying one more chapter before bed and you end on the chapter cliffhanger and then end up staying up all night. I went to work 3 days in a row on 4 hours of sleep. I’m already ready to read it again. This book is riveting, descriptive, broody, mysterious, and filled with so much desperation.
The plot was PLOTTING, and just when I thought all of my theories were about to come true.. THE BLINDSIDE of all BLINDSIDES. You will never guess what is going to happen. Then you will be staring at the wall contemplating everything you know. The character development and plot are created with such depth. Every flip of the page had me on the edge of my seat. It’s been awhile since a book has captured me in such a chokehold, the details from the pages bleed into your mind.
I could go into more depth, but as I’m such an early reader I do NOT want to ruin any part of the journey for you. I’m going to leave you with this–read this book immediately. I need more people to crash out with over what happened. Read the tropes and vibes below if you want a better idea of what you are about to experience…

Oh. My. Goodness.
This is absolutely a top read of the year, if not THE top read. I know, I know, "Alyssa, it's still January" - I SAID WHAT I SAID.
Miranda delivered an absolute banger of a start to her newest series, and I don't know how to put into words what it did to me, but I'm sure going to try.
I knew from the blurb that we were going to have a mystery/hunt plot - but the intricacies of how this was built out kept me guessing every step of the way. Every time I thought I had something figured out, I was so wrong. It kept me guessing every step of the way.
Syneca Black was thrust into this hunt to help save her best friend, and prove that there's no way she could have done the things she was accused of. She is forcibly teamed up with four other magical beings and they are racing to complete the hunt, before.... consequences.
Something I will always commend Miranda for, and it was extremely prevalent here as well, is her ability to build a found family. The relationship that Syn develops with her hunt team starts off a little rocky, but as they get to know each other, the support and caring they have for each other really begins to shine. I know these ties are going to continue to grow as the series continues, and I can already feel myself worried for their outcomes!
And the world! The magical world that Miranda built is so immersive, so detailed, and so perfectly woven together, it felt like I was THERE. I have never felt SO immersed in a book world as I did with Hide the Witches.
The ending was an ABSOLUTE (expectedly - book 1 of a new series - duh!) cliffhanger - and while I expected there to BE a cliffhanger, I DID NOT SEE THIS ENDING COMING! The amount of revelations/twists/action we got at the end has me spiraling over what is to come in Book 2.

OMFG this book is everything!!!! THAT ENDING JUST BAMBOOZLED THE HELL OUT OF ME!!!! I am obsessed! I need book 2 NOW!!!!!
This was SUCH a fantastic read. I can’t even process my feelings.
Syneca is now one of my favorite witches. Ever. Hands down. I absolutely adored her character. Her strength and resilience were so powerful and I loved her fierce loyalty even when her world was falling apart. Her bond with Silas was so sweet and i loved it so much.
Wickett. There’s a lot to unpack there haha. I absolutely ADORED the side characters. Pip was such a ray of sunshine and i absolutely love her so much. The oracle. Calder. Lucy. I am obsessed!
If you want an absolutely FANTASTIC read that will bamboozle the hell out of you and leave you staring at the wall and crashing out, this NEEDS to be a priority on your TBR! HOLY CRAP!
This is an amazing mix of Romantasy, mystery, tension and yearning (so hard), enemies to lovers, found family perfection! I AM SO SHOOKETH at that ending! My god!

Thank you to Miranda Lyn for the advanced copy of this ebook. I read a description of Miranda’s next release and have been shaking with excitement to get my hands on an early copy.
Wow! Just wow! I do not have enough words for how much I love this book! I crashed out so hard, and even gave Miranda a fake middle name so I could all caps shout at her in the street team discord. I loved the magical setting that felt so whimsical but also dark and gritty.
The found family is top notch. There’s witches, dragons, sprites, magical trials, a kind of murder mystery, and magical investigative quest that will leave you saying “one more chapter” well into the night. And let’s talk about that ending 🤯🤯🤯🤯. I am so flabbergasted, and the way I need to know what’s going to happen is going to consume me until I can get my hands on book 2. Such an amazing start to what is shaping up to be a top-tier series.

My most anticipated read was even better than I was expecting. How Miranda is always raising the game, no flipping idea. But, truly a phenomenal beginning to a series that has left me CRAVING book two like my life depends on it. I loved every second through the quick paced and action filled pages. The banter. The chemistry. The many many cast members.
I am pretty much in love with all of these characters and I need more. It's like breathing air and now I'm choking without this world to keep breathing in. Seriously so well written. Such an epic plot. One of my top reads EVER.
I devoured it, or at least I thought, it kind of shredded me to pieces back. Which was perfection, honestly, I loved the way this leaves everything, because it only makes me eager for more.
Highly recommend. Not joking, just read this.

10 stars!! This book was amazing! The details, the plot twists, the start of a found family it was perfectly done. Tears were spilled and it was a wild ride but it was the best ride. This is my too read of 2026. I dont know what I will do until book 2. If you like a fierce red headed FMC, trials, I volunteer energy then this is going to blow you away!!
