every time hermione called draco “sir” i puked in my mouth a little bit. is that supposed to be the british equivalent to “daddy”? idk it made me feel uncomfortable. the whole characterization of hermione in this just felt odd. there is no way that my feminist SPEW activist queen would ever let herself be objectified like in this and enjoy being called “pet”???? no just no. i also don’t understand why the author felt the need to include or hint at how tall (or big) draco is in every other sentence. it just pissed me off after a while.

the murder mystery part was quite predictable and i did not enjoy the ratio between plot and smut. i feel like there were just mediocre sex scenes in every chapter and the murder story line got kinda lost there. i did like it better towards the end when the actual story came back into focus, the resolution of the murder mystery was predictable nonetheless.

also, harry is happily married to pansy in this???? makes no sense

i don’t get why this is hyped so much and i wish i was able to dnf books cus what the hell did i just read?

3.5 stars!!

I liked the storyline a lot. Auror Draco, friends to lovers situation, longtime yearning. The murder mystery story was fun, and it was fun to see them go undercover as part of the investigation.

The memory lock plot was interesting, sad about narcissa, loved the supportive friendship of Harry, and of COURSE Draco is always daddy.

I got the ick quite a bit by how “large and tall” Draco was—but 6’4” isn’t a giant in my eyes? The entire story had made comments about how massive he was. Ducking through doorways, can’t fit on his friends couches or chairs, all beds are too small, his bed is crazy tall that Hermione needed a step stool? Just felt like he should have been 8 feet tall based on how they described it throughout the story.

However, their relationship was of COURSE so tender and I loved the ending. You know I love when they get married at the end and have kids. Just so tender.

Overall I enjoyed!

Not a Weasley to be seen or heard of in the entire thing. I didn’t even notice until somewhere around 80%, and by then I couldn’t have given a single fuck, because I was so obsessed with this fic that I’d have finished it almost before I started it - if it wasn’t for the inconvenient reality of having a full-time job that I was forced to resume post-break in order to continue to live.

Somehow, with every Dramione I read, instead of abating, the hyperfixation intensifies. Very soon, I shall resemble Violet Beauregard - except I won’t be Violet. I will be emerald green due to excessive Dramione consumption. I will need to be rolled to a healer, and I know exactly whose responsibility it is to do it. 🖤

While Auror Draco is working to solve a serial murder case, he starts a fake relationship with Hermoine in order to gain access to a sex/kink club that pertains to the murders and requires all people attend to be couples...

Love! Love! Love!

I picked this up expecting only smut and I was so surprised by how much depth there was especially with Draco and his trauma. Ugh he was so beautifully written. This Draco is 6'-4", heavily tatted, he has a photographic memory and is super sensitive to smells. He struggles with PTSD (though not explicitly called that) and his journey both internal and external was fantastic.

I am not normally a fan of fake dating but this was so angsty and I love that we got to see each of them talking to Pansy about eachother LOL. I also feel like they figured their stuff out and talked about it like adults and we could move on to more exciting things in the plot.

I devoured this. Stayed up late two nights reading it so I definitely recommend.

My only critiques are that Pansy opening talking about the sex she had with draco (to give Hermoine tips) was a bit weird for me, especially since a lot of the time her husband Harry was there. I also thought the person committing the murders was evident early on, but I still enjoyed how it played out and the peak scene.

*note the Weasleys do not exist in this fic. As in they are never seen or mentioned at all. Which I don't mind, I don't care for Ron - but if you love any of the Weasleys you will not find them here.

While scrolling through t#dramione on TikTok, someone said drop what you’re doing and read Bring Him to His Knees. Well, I listened, and I’m so glad I did. I’m a truly a sucker for a post-war Dramione—giving Draco the redemption arc that he deserved. The spice doesn’t hurt either 😏 we get almost immediately into it, since they are working undercover at a sex club, but the plot is plotting! Very engaging, and I truly was worried we would lose Hermione. 5/5 would recommend

my thoughts while listening to this audiofic in no particular order with little to no explanation I’m not sorry:
-me when
-PANSY. PLS.
-👁👄👁
-a draco that can’t dance? i dont claim him
-KIM (hermione) THERES PEOPLE THAT ARE DYING
-but where is ron (not that I really care) but like ??? not a weasley in sight ???
-i really should have checked the tags but yolo ig
-aha..haha… 🐉 … no
-so it’s essentially neon gods got it
-this is not my narcissa i am a sad girlie
-it’s just that I’m unwell and should have my head examined

It’s also just that this felt like two very different stories warring with each other and everything felt drawn out. Not mad about it tho we stan a kinky (*eye twitch*) little (long) murder (serial killer) mystery with a dollop (truckload) of trauma on the side (front and center). So fresh so fun (I’m in pain).

4⭐️ BUT THAT LAST CHAPTER WAS DRAMIONE GOLD

I really love how Ginny and Ron were just nixxed from this fanfiction lmao I didn’t love how long it took to capture the perp on top of that the perp ended up being the most obvious person, I was hoping for a twist! I do love how open everyone is with sex in this book, it was just a bit odd constantly hearing Pansy talk about Draco in an ex boyfriend kind of way while being married to Harry. Super cute though and the smut in this was good!!

All’inizio pensi: “Vabbè, un capitolo e poi dormo”.

“Count yourself incredibly singular if he'll kneel for you.”

Surprisingly one of my favourite Draco's because 1. Tall 2. Tattoos and 3. Let's just say he's well endowed...

Really enjoyed the Auror/murder mystery plot (despite there being very little), the friendship between Draco, Pansy, and Blaise, & Harry and Pansy will forever and always be one of my favourite side pairings !!

· · ── ·•°•❀•°•· ── · ·

'“The day I run out of things to say to a beautiful woman is the day you can put me in the ground." Before she could fully process what he'd said, Draco stepped in close and bent down. He brushed a light kiss to the corner of her mouth. "For the purposes of keeping this relationship believable," he said. "I always kiss my girlfriend goodbye."'

· · ── ·•°•❀•°•· ── · ·

'All her attention was on Draco. He had one foot propped on a decorative white stone, both hands tucked into the pockets of a black top coat, collar turned up around his jaw, a cigarette in the corner of his mouth, and—

And silver-rimmed glasses perched on his pointed nose.'

· · ── ·•°•❀•°•· ── · ·

'She looked past Hermione to Draco and back, her green eyes sparkling. "Hermione. That was Draco Malfoy's real smile. And it was for you.”'

· · ── ·•°•❀•°•· ── · ·

'“If you don't know how to properly cast Dark spells," Draco snarled, waving his wand across his face. Metal flowed across his cheeks and over his forehead, spreading down the bridge of his nose and up the line of his jaw. He spoke before the mask closed over his mouth. "Don't go up against a Dark wizard.”'

Heard about this fic on tiktok and feel lied to. First book I’ve had to DNF in years (made it to 60%).

These characters do not even remotely resemble the originals. Hermione is a blubbering dumb dumb who struggles to complete full sentences. Draco has a supersonic sense of smell which honestly just reads as creepy…. I don’t even know why this is a thing.

Every single conversation has the most forced, cheesy, sexual tone to it. Most of the time for literally no reason.

The spicy scenes are decent if you can get past the word “folds” and the only verbal contributions from Hermione being “more” and “please sir” on repeat.

Dnf @ chapter 6. This book is so confusing.

Pansy is coddling Draco too much physically, and sticking her arse out for Blaise to smack. The constant reminder she and Draco are together is so annoying. The constant stumbling over words (mostly Hermione) is incredibly frustrating. I wanted to like this and it seemed highly rated on the gram/tiktok. I liked the idea but I can’t with the things above.

The characters are named after characters of the HP fandom, but that's all. They don't act like the characters they're based on and some things need explaining, like are there no Weasleys? Hermione is a pain in the ass too.

I had put off reading this for awhile because most people recommended it just for the spice and that’s not the important part to me. But I’m glad I finally read it because the plot and characters were beautiful. Really really well rounded Draco which I love. And Hermione felt real. Also loved the Snakes friendship. Just a really great little read!
