Cece

For the past year, I’d been pushing everyone away. It said more about them than it did about me that they hadn’t kicked me to the curb yet. Before I got the news that shocked my entire nervous system, I’d been all about having fun, being the best beta to Jaime’s Alpha there was. Now I couldn’t even remember what that felt like, and I doubted the online server made up of trans gamers I’d stumbled upon would have the answers, but it was the closest I’d had to a lifeline in a long time.

Rox, Viola, and Dixie all had their own issues, their own demons to battle, and reasons for all the rules that came with joining their pack. I had never been one for online or long distance relationships, or for those many rules, but… They wanted me, and I hadn’t allowed myself to feel wanted in too long to turn my back on them.

On the possibilities—one of which, I was aware, meant that I was self-sabotaging once more.

* * *

New Pack Code includes a T4T4T4T online relationship with (pretend) omegaverse rules and dynamics, gaming, characters with more trauma than the author had initially anticipated, lots of puppy play and, of course, found family galore. Oh, and a probably unconventional HEA.

There is something so amazing about reading a story (especially more niche) that the author is truly apart of that just hits different when reading. I adore this author and they could never disappoint.
It was interesting and emotional to finally get inside CeCe’s head! I’ve loved their dynamics with Jaime and the Plumas family but could also feel the tension and pain they were experiencing during Jaime’s book.
The new pack embracing omegaverse roleplay and lifestyle was well written and established and I very much appreciated all four POV’s.
Highly recommend this and all the Plumas stories!!

🌱❤️‍🩹🧋💻👉 Cece (29), She/They:
- Beta / Sub, the newest member of Rox’s pack.
- Senior cloud architect (IT).
- Honey-brown eyes, auburn hair shaved on the sides and back, usually tied in a messy bun. Cute moles across their face and the sweetest blush.
- Complex, guarded, and deeply self-aware. Struggles with burnout, self-esteem, and self-sabotage.
- Avoids romantic relationships, but comfortable with platonic and sexual connections outside traditional labels.
- Struggling with gender identity from childhood and raised in an abusive household, Cece carries that trauma into adulthood, even as they work hard to heal. 💔😭
- Loves wearing orange puppy gear... hoods, rubber suits, tails, and paws, and is an active member of their local BDSM club.
- Lives alone in a house integrated into their kink community, surrounded by a found family who love and support them unconditionally.
- A huge omegaverse reader… 📚✨ a superfan of Rox’s books, and loves gaming.

🌱🌞🎥💻👉 Viola "Vi" (27), She/Her:
- Omega / Sub, member of Rox’s pack.
- Works at home as an adult content creator.
- Tall, graceful, and incredibly sweet, with long pastel pink hair down to her waist and bangs.
- She loves kawaii, anime-inspired fashion, pink tones, and soft, cute aesthetics.
- When gaming, she wears pink kitty ears and kawaii makeup filters.
- She lives alone in the city and struggles with anxiety and fear when going out as a trans woman.
- Vi is the sunshine of the pack, gentle, affectionate, and quietly insecure.
- Her pack is exactly what she needs, offering her safety, care, reassurance, and the space to heal.
- I love Vi so much!! It’s beautiful to see how they support her and spoil her with love and attention... even when she’s in brat mode! 🤭🥰

🌱🤨🩺👶👉 Dixie "D" (35), They/Them:
- Beta & Switch, member of Rox’s pack.
- Pediatric nurse genuinely loves their job, despite struggling with acceptance from some parents and coworkers.
- Brown eyes and a curly mullet, curls falling over their forehead, and a love for vintage clothes.
- A bit grumpy and reserved, a little like a porcupine 🦔 on the surface, deeply caring underneath.
- Lives in apartment above their mother and helps care for their younger sister, who has cerebral palsy and means the world to them.
- Loves gaming.
- Protective, reliable, and loves teasing Vi and pushing her buttons in playful, consensual ways, never cruel, always affectionate.

🌱😏🐺📚👉 Rox (30s ?), She/Her:
- Alpha / Dom, founder of the pack.
- Bestselling omegaverse romance author.
- She shares an apartment with four students, where she also works.
- A natural caretaker, Rox founded the online group/pack five years ago as a A/B/O Dynamics as a safe, flexible space where everyone could feel seen and supported.
- Confident, composed, and naturally protective.
- Raised by her older brother after losing her parents as a child.
- As an Alpha she carries warmth, patience, and care into everything she does.
- I love the way she loves, protects, and leads her pack. How she knows how Vi needs extra attention and also how she sees throughout D's walls... 🥹 🫠

👏 Solid Character Development
💯 Best Side Characters
🥰 Love The Ending
😍 Unconventional HEA

💭 My Thoughts:
📖👉 A deeply emotional, hot, kinky and heartfelt story about connection, safety, love, and personal growth.
👏 Beautifully written, the story fits seamlessly into the Plumas Universe.
❤️‍🩹 Cece, Vi, Dix, and Rox are four trans MCs, each carrying their own trauma and baggage.
😭 I was genuinely moved by their struggles, and I love how Emily handled their journey with care, authenticity, and depth.
💻🎮 Their connection starts online and they click instantly. It feels a bit like insta-love, but slowly Vi, Rox, and D gain Cece's trust, the newest member. 💖 It's beautiful to see them evolve.
🌶🤌😚 The spice is chef’s kiss... filthy, kinky, intense, and full of teasing 😏, but always tender and caring 🫠. They’re perfect for each other, fitting together deliciously in every way, 🧩 like a beautiful puzzle: all different pieces, yet perfectly complete together.
💝 The side characters are absolute gems... delightful, sarcastic, deeply loving, and a true found family. Cece's community perfectly exemplifies what family can mean beyond blood, and I adored that aspect.
🪶 I can’t wait to immerse myself further in the Plumas Universe... so many hot-as-hell MCs to explore, sign me up!

▪︎FAV QUOTES▪︎
■ "The two of them exchanged a glance that I pretended not to notice. They could be so lovey-dovey, and I didn’t quite get why they had to hide it. Was it because they thought I could be the only sunshine in this pack? I didn’t know. It was entertaining to watch, regardless.
I liked that all of us had our different things, that we loved each other in different ways." 🌈✨ - *Vi about Rox and D*

■ "Vi biting her lip nearby, vibrating with the need...
...
I locked eyes with her. We were more similar than I’d first thought. We both craved touch. We both craved closeness. We got too turned on, and we needed an anchor, a guidance of sorts." - *Cece & Vi*🫂💖

👍I'm definitely going to read this again

👏 An emotional, trauma-aware poly romance full of care, trust and a strong sense of found family and belonging.

😉 Thanks for reading hope this helps you out!

"New Pack Code" is a T4T4T4T contemporary romance. It’s part of a series but it can be read as a standalone. Actually, this book doesn't have as many cameos as the previous ones.
It's a very different romance because the four main characters have a long distance relationship for most of the book. It was very interesting seeing them trying to make things work. And very realistic too, I've been in a long distance relationship myself and I related a lot. I especially connected with Dixie but I loved all four of them equally and for different reasons. I adored Viola's personality, she was full of life and joy. I found Rox very intriguing, she was strong and confident and took care of everyone but had her vulnerable moments too. Cece was very complex and my heart ached for all they went through. It was wonderful to see their character growth. The author did a fantastic job developing all four main characters, making them realistic and lovable. I was rooting for them.
Finally, I read a lot of omegaverse books, it's one of my favorite genres, but I've never read a book with omegaverse roleplay. My Goodness this book was fire!! So hot!
I loved reading about Rox, Dixie, Viola and Cece.

I was curious about CeCe's book because besides being Jaime's kink sibling and Beta, I didn't know much about them going in. I also haven't read much omegaverse, so I went in with an open mind and not a ton of background. The Plumas Universe books always have such a refreshing sprinkling (Drenching? In a good way) of healthy, body and mental health positive language that I appreciate. I even posted a screenshot on Threads of a passage where Rox acknowledged how people use therapy speak to excuse and justify toxic behavior on a day where that was being done A LOT. I didn't think I would go so hard for Viola, but she's a character I couldn't not love. I loved the way the omegaverse dynamics weren't to fetishize, but to create a space where they could feel safe and supported. The author listed the ending as an unconventional HEA. I read it has a slight HFN with a heavily implied HEA, which in the Plumas universe feels very on brand.

I got the book as an ARC from the author but the rating and review reflect my own opinion

I personally wasn't sure of the omegaverse "trope" but it was seriously well done and felt like any good kink dynamic which I really liked.

The characters were also pretty likeable Rox, Viola, and Dixie all being in an existing relationship and Cece stumbling upon them online by accident and slowly falling in love.
The story and action were also really good
So why only 4* ?
The ending of the book felt too cut short, it was a happy end, but we didn't see them interacting with each other with all 4 people present and it was mentioned a few times that they would join or interact with the existing kink scene and club that we already know and love from the other books, but it never ends up happening
