Although I am far older then the target age group I decided to read this because it was recommend by another author and I will read any genre even young adult as long as the writing is good and the I like the story. I have to say that the young female teenage protagonist is a bit of whiner when her mother moves them to her grandmothers house. Although it gets better when we find out about the dragon and their fight with the wyverns. Don't want to give away spoilers so i won't explain in depth but I have to say this is a good first book to start off the series.

Excellent!

I found this book to be very engaging with twists and turns throughout the book... it left me wanting more. I would highly recommend this book to others!
