A BRAND NEW totally addictive psychological thriller full of twists.

From a #1 bestselling author.

We swapped partners for one night. Just for fun. We thought we could handle it. We were wrong.

From the moment Seb and Tamsin moved in next door, I couldn’t look away. They’re everything Nate and I aren’t — glamorous, magnetic, intoxicating.

It started with drinks in the garden, shared meals, easy laughter. They made me feel seen again. Special.

And then comes the night that crosses a line.

It’s Tamsin’s idea. She leans in, eyes glinting. “We should swap. Partners. Just for the night.”

I should have said no. But I didn’t.

The next morning, I creep home full of guilt . . . and walk into something far worse.

There are no rules now. And not all of us will survive.

AN EXHILARATING BLEND OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSPENSE, NAIL-BITING TENSION WITH A SHATTERING FINAL TWIST.

Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Daniel Hurst, T.M. Logan, Lisa Jewell, Claire Douglas, and Shari Lapena.

‘What a dark and twisty seductive web Lisa Hall spins in The Wife Swap. I trusted no one, and was utterly gripped!’ Tara Lyons, bestselling author of The Perfect Stranger

Oh dear!! Repetitive writing, weak plot. Didn’t enjoy this at all. Was so glad to get to the end, and skipped some along the way.

So Nates phone goes straight to voicemail every time except when she's looking at it through the window, now it rings? If it was on she could have tracked his location but it was off during the whole story. Why was Nate wearing gloves and reaching behind him towards the fireplace if he was just gonna let Tamsin attack him like that without a fight? Why was Hayley so worried about who the killer was when she literally watched the whole thing go down?? She stalked Nate and was borderline obsessive but she was shocked to find out he was involved in a murder investigation?? Dont get me wrong this was a good read i liked it but the ending just didnt add up with the rest of the book in my opinion. I hope Wendy drives her crazy after all the attitude and snarky remarks she gave her just cause she finally made a friend. Let's face it, Hayley sucks. Wendy deserves better and I'm glad she stole her bracelet.

Pretty much the exact same story as ‘Eight Years of Lies’? Then most of it doesn’t even make sense after reading the ending on who was the actual killer. Silly

Interesting

This book is a quick read thriller.
The writing is well done and the story pulls you in immediately. The book had me wanting to keep reading to see how the story would unfold.
There were several twists and many of them I did not see coming. Every single character in unhinged so it was not clear who was the real problem.
The ending left you in a way that a sequel could be possible.
I would definitely read more by this author.

The story begins with a married couple, Hayley and Nate, living in London when new neighbours move in next door. 👩‍❤️‍👨🏡Lonely while her husband is frequently away for work, Hayley quickly becomes obsessed with her new best friend, Tamsin 👯

As Hayley grows closer to both Tamsin and her husband, Sebastian, the story takes a shocking turn one evening when Tamsin suggests a “wife swap” for the night. 🤔

After that night, both Tamsin and Nate vanish into thin air, and Hayley is forced to investigate what really happened - without realising just how much danger she’s putting herself in. 🫣

OMG, I flew through this book fast - I couldn’t pull myself away. 🤯 I was completely obsessed and needed to know what happened next. My heart was pounding the entire time. This book is absolutely insane: fast-paced and riveting. 😮

I’m definitely grabbing every book I can get my hands on! 📚 If they’re anything like this one, I’m totally hooked. 😍

Massive thanks to Lisa and Zooloos Book Tours for including me in this tour! I absolutely loved reading this book! ♥️

Well I’m going to start out by saying this was a good book I gave it four stars because of the ending kind of leaving me with so many questions lol and knowing I won’t get them due to this book being a stand alone lol. I wish it was a series now! This book was so far from what I expected it to be and I’m not complaining about it lol. Loved all of the twist and turns and slaps in the face on who I thought did what and who didn’t! Makes me not want to ever met any of my neighbors 😆

Everyone in this book is Batshit crazy!!! You genuinely don't know where the story is going to go, I spent the final 40ish pages on the edge of my seat, gasping and stressing throughout it all as everything unravelled. Every time I believed I was on the right track and I knew who did it, a new piece of information was uncovered, and when I tell you the ending was the biggest plot twist, I think my eyebrows were permanently raised throughout the last 40 pages! Definitely a 5 star read and would highly recommend people to read!

the build up was great, but the ending i’m so confused. they should of just left it at tasmin and seb. not the main character being there at the death?? when she was so involved with finding out what happened then she was there?? unnecessary

I just could not work out which of the characters to trust, if any at all, and THAT ENDING!! Just WOW!! I would NEVER EVER have seen that bombshell coming fair play Lisa! It is one of the most unforgettable and unputdownable books I have ever read!! His brilliant storytelling and writing sucks the reader straight into the storyline with Hayley, the rest of the characters and surroundings coming to life around them. This is just one of those rare books that words just cannot express how powerful and emotional it is. When I was reading this book I could feel my heartbeat speeding up as I was getting a dark sense of foreboding the deeper into the book I got!! It is one of those books that I just simply could not put down and I walked around everywhere with my kindle reading the book everywhere I went. Every chapter ended in a way that I had to know what was going to happen next and then it would move on to the next chapter and do the same so I blew through this in one sitting of just a few hours. Reading this book really does make you feel that you are standing with Hayley and going through her anger, pain, sadness, betrayal fear and much more. Each of the characters were perfectly written and each had their own unique and strong personalities with individual strengths, weaknesses, quirks, flaws and more. You need to clear your schedules because you will not be able to put this book down. AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!! Here is my review for The Wife Swap by Lisa Hall

I found this to be a superb unputdownable psychological thriller that drew me in right from the start of the book. Nate worked away five days a week but tried to see his friends at the weekend, not leaving much time for Hayley, his wife, who was stuck at home alone all week. When she saw Seb and Tamsin arrive next door she immediately wanted them to be friends and wanted the closeness they had with Nate. Nate wasn’t over keen to be too friendly with the neighbours but followed Hayley’s lead and went when possible. Hayley and Tamsin got on famously like best friends. Then one night in a drunken haze, they crossed the line and swapped partners for the night. It was meant to be fun but Hayley was full of guilt the next morning and when she got home, it was even worse! This story was brilliantly written. It had me on tenterhooks as it was full of tension and suspense. I thought this was superbly plotted and well thought out. The characters seemed very realistic and were well described. The descriptive writing is really good and explains everything in great detail. I really loved the story, the plot and the characters. It was very intriguing. Lisa Hall writes brilliant books and I really enjoy reading her books. I can’t wait to read her next book.

The Wife Swap is a gripping psychological thriller full of tension, secrets, and jaw-dropping twists.

This book was such a wild and addictive read. From the very first chapter, I was pulled into the unsettling atmosphere and couldn’t stop turning the pages. What starts off as a seemingly harmless night between two couples quickly spirals into something much darker, and I loved how the tension kept building.

Hayley and Nate’s new neighbours, Tamsin and Seb, seem friendly enough at first, but once the idea of swapping partners is suggested, everything changes. What I thought would just be a scandalous twist turned into a full-on psychological thriller packed with secrets, lies, and shocking revelations.

I really enjoyed how the story was told through Hayley’s perspective. Her doubts, fears, and confusion felt so real, and I found myself questioning every character right along with her. The pacing was sharp, and the suspense was great.

The ending absolutely floored me. It was clever, unexpected, and left me thinking.

Intriguing Premise

I'm a sucker for a great front cover - yes i judge books by their covers. This one enticed me in and had me intrigued. The premise also sounded interesting, so i was sold and ready to disregard the piles of books that have been on my tbr for longer 🙈.

On the surface, Hayley seems bored with her life. When her new neighbours move in she begins to covet what they have because they seem to be living the life she wishes she had.

The past and the present collide in this thrilling read, as Hayley wonders whether her neighbours' lives are as perfect as they seem and will things ever be the same again?

The main character made some terrible choices throughout and had me shouting 'don't do it!' There are some parts in the middle that didn't completely make sense but I feel it was intentional to make the situation feel more tense.

The end reveal and epilogue stunned me and had me questioning a lot of what I had read. Overall, I enjoyed this book and will try more books by this author.

There’s nothing better than a psychological thriller that has twists and turns to keep you guessing right until the end and this one definitely fits the bill!

It’s a slow burn to begin with but once the fateful night of the wife swap takes place, the tension ramps up tenfold!

I admit to not really liking any of the characters initially and I think this is a clever ploy by the author as it definitely adds to the mistrust as the plot develops.

I enjoyed the inclusion of the diary, the photos in the study and the mysterious shadows lurking around the gap in the garden fence as they all serve to keep the reader questioning their own judgement on how deeply each of the characters are involved.

Despite thinking I had it all sewn up, the final reveal(s) certainly knocked me off-kilter and I loved how there were still some unanswered questions even after turning the final page.

With thanks to the author, Zoe at Zooloo’s Book Tours and Joffe Books for the opportunity to participate in the blog tour.

This is a great tense thriller featuring two couples - Hayley and Nate, and their new next door neighbours Seb and Tamsin. The characters seem likeable enough to begin with and they all start to become good friends. However, as the storyline moves on, you begin to see flaws in their relationships and the story takes a surprising turn when a wife swap for one night is suggested. It certainly didn't follow the route of where I expected it was going and it all became quite dark very quickly. I liked Hayley's character the most out of the four, and felt she probably didn't deserve everything that happened. I became very quickly hooked into this book and enjoyed the suspense throughout. There were a few twists throughout and I enjoyed the last few pages! Full of secrets and mystery, it certainly gets you thinking as to what you would do in a similar situation. I know one thing though, I'll be staying away from my neighbours!!

For me ‘The wife swap’ is a masterclass in psychological fiction. It’s is a page turner with a gripping plot, suspense in droves and a real abundance of plot twists.

Hayley and Nate, living a life of relative peace and harmony are in danger of getting a little bored with their lot. Cue the arrival of gorgeous, exciting and charismatic couple, Tamsin and Seb, who move in next door.

Despite Nate’s initial reluctance, the couple form a friendship (largely fuelled by alcoholl). All is well until the night Tamsin suggest a ‘wife swap’ - the catalyst for far more than just a night of passion … we discover layers of secrets, and so much more!

This is such an enjoyable read, 100% recommended.

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

The Wife Swap was an adrenaline filled thriller, full of suspense, mystery, secrets, lies, romance, drama and betrayal. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved Hayley. She was strong, determined, loyal, smart, and relatable.
Tamsin and Seb were charismatic and charming. It was only Nate I wasn't overly fond of.

The Wife Swap had a very clever and compelling storyline, with surprising twists that I didn't see coming at all.
Lisa Hall has a very addictive writing style, which grabs you right away and doesn't let go. This is the third book I've read from this talented author, and it definitely won't be the last.

I highly recommend.

4 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nate and Hayley's marriage is getting kind of stale so when new neighbors, Sed and Tamsin, move in next door, Hayley is flattered when Sed pays attention to her. One night at a get together at Seb's place, Tamsin suggests switching partners. Nate and Tamsin go back to Nate's place and Hayley spends the night with Seb but regrets it in the morning. Tamsin and Nate seem to have disappeared and cannot be found. As Hayley starts to snoop in Seb's office, mysterious things come to light. This book had a lot of twists and some real surprises in the ending.

After being in a bit of a reading slump, I needed a thriller that would immediately suck me in, and The Wife Swap did just that. This was well written, with a compelling storyline that kept me guessing until the final twist. I was almost positive I knew where the story was going, only to realize I was so off base. The characters are all flawed and a bit unhinged in their own ways, which left me unsure who the real "bad guy" was in the story. Overall, I really enjoyed The Wife Swap and look forward to reading more from this author!

The story had me hooked pretty much straight away and curious as to where it would lead. I loved how the characters were all untrustworthy and you didn’t know what was going to happen. However, I just wasn’t shocked because I was confused. Things started to unravel but it still wasn’t very clear as to ‘whodunnit.’ Then it got explained…but it just felt like it didn’t all add up and I was like wait what? Maybe it’s just me but I didn’t end up loving it.

Let me know if you’ve read it and your opinion is different!!!

Loved this read

This book was.nuts....in a good way! Pretty much shows you that you can pick your home but you cannot pick your neighbors. When Tamsin and Seb move in next door, Hayley is thrilled to see they are about the same age as her and her husband. It will be so nice to have new friends....right? I guess you'll find out when you read the book! Lots of twists and surprises.

The wife swap by Lisa Hall.
This was a good read. I did like the cover and blurb of this book. It took me a few chapters to get into this book. I did like Hayley. I wasn't sure how I felt about Seb or Tasmin. I certainly didn't see that coming. I liked the writing style and the story. I did have a theory but I was wrong. The ending did surprise me. This is a new author for me.

It was a good read, I really enjoyed it. But a few things don’t add up. If Hayley saw the whole event take place, why was she so shocked that both Nate and Seb were involved in the police investigation?
I was a bit confused in the last scene as to who actually was the killer but then the epilogue cleared it up.
It was a good, quick read with some fun twists.

For the most part I was fully onboard and enjoying the story, the mystery and the characters. Then in the last few chapters everything just fell apart. How the characters all came to be together, the confusing reveal, how it got resolved, the ridiculous ending… it all just became increasingly implausible. It left me frustrated. And disappointed.
