Love Reflection.

This was a truly lovely story to read. It made a nice change from my psychological thrillers I have been reading lately. I'm a bit of an 'all rounder' when it comes to choices of books to read, so when I saw this for a blog tour I offered to review it and promote it which I do when time permits. This is the reason why I like book tours, I get to read books that would have passed me by or I would have missed.

This book had me stunned silent the moment I opened my kindle. For a debut novel, Maria Macdonald blew me away with her deep, insightful characters, captivated me with her writing, and held my attention as I screamed, cried, gasped and laughed along side my kindle. This book is definitely one that needs to be read and re-read over again!

Pearson, or Pea to her extremely tight group of friends- Soph, Con and Saul, is such a beautiful but intense character. She hasn't had

I’m a bit of a latecomer to this series following a recommendation from a friend but as they say better late than never! I’m still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster of a ride that this story took me on.

It’s obvious from the opening line of Chapter One that Pea is struggling to deal with some heavy issues. Following her break-up with Con on the cusp of adulthood, and then losing her Gran, who she believes is the last member of her immediate family, Pea struggles to not fall into a pit of d

This is a beautiful and gripping story about four friends Pea, Con, Sophie and Saul who grow up together through all good and bad. Their bond is so strong and loving.
The main characters of the story are Pea and Con.
This was a loving story and as a debut novel, the author has done a wonderful job in portraying the emotions of friendship, love, loyalty and secrets.
I pretty much liked the story overall. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

One of the best parts of reading is finding a new author whose writing you just get, it's like finding gold ! I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to read this book by this exciting new author!
Pearson ( Pea) has loved Connor almost all her life and at points through her life they have been in a relationship but during those times fate was not on their side. Pea now finds herself without the family she loved and the love of her life. Enter Dane ( he is one sexy mother f**ker) he help

This was a genuinely great story based on secrets, sadness, loyalty, love, heartbreak. Although this was mainly Pea's story, there is more than one main character. Pearson, Con, Saul, and Sophie are the epitome of what friends should be. They are all best friends, but even more so, family. Maria did a great job incorporating them all into the story, without overloading us with too much at once. You will fall in love with each one. The way Pearson suffers in the beginning of the story leaves you ...more

This is the first book I have read of Maria's, but it will not be the last!! This book will make you, laugh, cry, and jump for joy, among other emotions. Con, Saul, Pea, and Soph are a wonderful group of friends that anyone would be honored to be able to call friend. While reading this book, I was left trying to guess what twist was going to come up next. I love a book that isn't predictable from start to finish. Maria has written a story that I can honestly say is not predictable, which kept me ...more

Oh I know!... It's AMAZING!
From the very beginning the author Maria Macdonald traps you in wanting to know more but wanting to read it slowly just so you can savor it.
this book makes you laugh one minute then cry the next to then having OMG moments.
I LOVE the characters in this book, I can't say that anyone annoyed me and for me that's usually hard for me to say as normally one or more of the characters in a book annoy me to a point where I want to

Love, love, love, love, love!

It’s a new author. It’s their first book. I hesitatingly open/swipe to that first page, almost afraid of what I will find. In the back of my mind I always think of the work – the blood, sweat and tears – that go into the incredible achievement of publishing a story. What if it doesn’t strike a chord? What if I don’t connect with the characters? What if I just can’t explain it but I just don’t like it at all? Well, any thoughts like that were quickly, quickly laid to

What's it all about

Pearson and Con, getting over their past's, circumnavigating the present in the hope of a joint future.

What I thought

I'm always nervous about trying a new author. I needn't have been with Maria Macdonald. She drew me in Characters who were normal, and my goodness it was refreshing to see normal! and the Glossary at the beginning..... PMSL!

I won an ebook copy of this book from a blogger. It was already on my tbr list so I knew it had to be my next read.

This book gripped me from even before the first page. There's a glossary of English terms at the beginning which I loved because I recognised many that I use myself.

When the book opens we meet Pearson and it's clear that she's hurting from something that happened in the past. She has an invaluable group of friends in her life Saul, Con and Sophie. They've been best friends since the

This is a series but I do not see any reason why you could not read this book as a standalone at all. This story does have a HEA to it. This is the first book of three that are out now. I felt that the first part of the book was a little bit slow and it took me a bit to get into the book. Once it picked up though, I could not put the book down. This book goes back and forth between Pea’s view and then Con’s view. The author does good job of making sure all questions and concerns are answered. I ...more

This is without a doubt one of the most brilliant debuts I have read. Maria Macdonald has written this beautiful novel which from the very first page takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions.
Pea (Pearson) is such a sweet, funny, sassy character. Her love for Conner has been set in stone pretty much her entire life. And even though they had a relationship, it just didn't work *SOB SOB SOB*. Pea also keeps some SERIOUS secrets from Conner that could potentially break the friendship they have made

I was given Love Reflection (Entwined Hearts Series Book 1) by Maria Macdonald for an honest review. This is the first book I have read by this author and she had me intrigued from the beginning of this book how could this one person Pea feel like she had caused her whole group of friends to break apart. As I read this book I felt sorry for Pea as she takes the blame for all the bad things that happen in her life and that of her friends. It was great to read about her journey back to the person ...more

Maria Macdonald's Novel Love Reflection is an outstanding debut.
These characters are developed so well, you can't help but fall in love with each one. She takes you on a journey through their heartbreaking lives to the point you feel like these beautiful characters are real. I wanted to know them, I wanted to cry with Pea (the female lead) I wanted to hold her hand and tell her it was going to be ok!
You have to experience this richly detailed story for yourself, immerse yourself in it.

Loved this book, great debut by new author

Love Reflection is a story of friendships, very close friendships and how they transcend time. I loved this story, right from the get go. There are so many twists and turns, things I just didn't see coming and reasons why the heroine Parson is the way she is. Con, Pearson's on and off again boyfriend is gorgeous and I can see why they went through so many ups and downs, mostly caused by Pearson's attitudes, indifference and the tragic loss she endures.

I really enjoyed this novel by established author Maria Macdonald, and considering it was her debut it was an excellent read. Based around a group of four friends, Pearson, Sophie, Con and Saul, it's really Pearson's, or Pea as her friends call her, story. However it does have alternating POV's throughout with another of the main characters. Told in real time, with flashbacks that were easy to follow it had a good pace and I really wanted to get to know these four characters better. I loved the ...more

This may be a debut novel from this author, but I never would of realised it was written so well.
The story sucked me in from the very first chapter.
A story of 4 friends that have been that way from a young age.
Pea and Con have loved each other forever. But secrets have kept them from being together.
With so much lose in Pea's life it leaves her guarded for her fear of getting hurt again.
Can Pea tell the truth and have a happy ever after with her one true love.
I can't wait for the next book.

For a debut novel, I'm in awe, it is not often that I can fall in love with a book and not want to read anything else in fear of losing the magical feeling that the book evokes in you.

Con is I'll be honest, an idiot. At some points I wanted to shake him! He didn't seem to have even a tad of common sense but the story warranted that and i did end up forgiving him!

'Pea' is the cutest name ever, I kept smiling!

I loved this book and I will be re reading at some point <3

Debut novel…and one to watch I think! This is a really great offering for a first novel. Easy to get lost in the plot and the characters, very well written and despite the back and forth with timelines, it’s remarkably easy to follow. I am not a huge fan of jumping to and fro but the fact it was written in the way of memories made this a lot easier for me to get on board with. You need those snippets of memory from Pea in order to understand her relationships

I found this to be a gripping story of four friends who stuck together through everything life had to throw at them. Pea, Con, Soph and Saul, grew up together with a load of memories that carried them through the darkest times. Between love, friendship, struggles, loss and disappointment, it was clear there was always someone from the group to stand up and be the leader, to carry them through the storm to the safe side of life.

Pea and Con are the two main characters whose story will take over at
