My heart breaketh...until his heart waketh...
I got a sneak peek into what was coming in the last book, Jase. I experienced a very brief taste of Gunny & Sharon's chemistry and I knew it was gonna be good, and it was! I mentally tagged Gunny as a 'gentle giant' after seeing how he cared for Sharon when she was hurt. But there is sooooo much more to him that the readers needed to know. I'm so glad the author decided to listen to the voices in her head demanding that Gunny get his own book.

Love this series. The author certainly knows how to write a gripping story. This one is my favourite so far.

Lane is an ex Marine. When he joins the Rebels MC he's known as Gunny. Sharon and Gunny are a great couple. They gotta go through so much crap I really felt for them. Sharon needs protection from her ex husband and she gets that & feels safe with Gunny.

Super great read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next book Mason.
4 Stars

Not as long as Slate and Bear, but still just as action packed, although Gunny is more damaged and multi-layered than Slate and his pain is different than Bear's. I really enjoyed his story and the juicy side plots going on with the club and Mason.

Need Mason's book ASAP!

Gunny, a marine with PTSD and Sharon, a literally beaten down stripper, get to find peace with each other after a horrific attack on Sharon has Gunny reacting in a way no one saw coming. When we get some glimpses at how Gunny reacts to things, and why he acts that way, it really tugs on your heart strings reading about what he went through in his last mission. Sharon, although it took a terrifying attack for it to happen, finally gets to have a real chance at happiness when her caretaker comes ...more

Gunny is Amazing

This story was so very well written. When referring to PTSD, it can be difficult for the emotions and feelings associated with the condition to be written and understood. I love the storylines and how the author managed to make the awareness of the order and severity of it come to be known as the monster it can be.
I am such a huge fan of deMora. He stories are brilliant and with enough twist to keep one coming back for more.
I must continue on to the next book.
I will highly

If you are familiar with this series that you know the author writes these series brilliantly and has an amazing way of writing about topics that people experience day to day. This story made me cry, cringe, and angry. It left me shattered but also made me fall in love. This is one book that will be with me forever. What I love about this book is how the author gives us the story about the main characters prior to them meetings. Getting to know their past and

I knew Gunny's story wouldn't be an easy read but I never expected it to be as hard as it was.
As troubled by his past as he is, he still manages to be loyal, loveable & loving and so much more!
He's definitely what I'd call the "Carer" of the group. Not just the way he is with his pups but how he is when he first encounters Sharon proves this. Then, go back in his story, and it shows through again!!
Absolutely PHENOMENAL read!!

Oh, Gunny... sweet, Gunny! After getting a glimpse of him in Jase's story, I was super eager to get his story. For the brief moments he was present in the story, he was intense. From the moment he brought Sharon to Jase and DeeDees, I knew he was going to be a character that I was going to love.

He need to protect her by never letting her go...literally, was just the sweetest thing ever. But lets go back to how their story started. Gunny is a former Military. Serving as a Marine in the war

Gunny is a wounded warrior thei marines couldn't use him anymore and he needs the brotherhood luckily his boss helps him find the Rebels and that's what helps save him, finding his woman was a shock but what a ride

I have been anticipating this book from the moment Gunny picked Sharon up and refused to let her go in Jase. And in typical deMora fashion, the author made it worth every moment between then and now. Consistent with the prior books in the series, we meet Gunny when he was Gunnery Sergeant Lane Robinson before he joined the Rebel Wayfarers MC. Back when his military career was coming to an end as he was the only surviving man on his team after an ambush attack. An attack he barely survived and ...more

I just finished Gunny and I just loved it! This is apart of the Rebel Wayfarers series so for me it's a definite must to read this in order. From the beginning of the series to the last book (Jase) Gunny has gotten more developed and we see that he is protecting Sharon (Jases sister) in Jase so we get to see why he is the way he is and why he does the things he does. He's the quiet one so to read his words, they just broke my heart. He's an ex-marine and it is not by his choice. He misses the ...more

I LOVE this series! I was very excited for Gunny’s story and was not disappointed! Gunny is everything I look for in an alpha biker! He is hot, tattooed, commanding, and protective to a fault. The way he talks with Sharon, grunting like a caveman with his “mine” and “need you” and “want you”, is sure to dampen everyone’s panties. I know! The way he wraps his body around hers at all times, it’s like he can’t breathe without her. There is no doubt in my mind that these two have

Review for Gunny (Rebel Wayfarers MC #5) by MariaLisa deMora

Gunny is the fifth book in the Rebel Wayfarers MC by MariaLisa deMora and can be read as a stand-alone, but because the series is fabulous you should read them all. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the way that deMora not only steps outside of the box, but made her own freaking box is astounding. This book, more than the others, really showcases how she keeps the MC world more realistic than any of the other books in the

Ok so I may have already admitted this in my review for Jase BUT I was a slacker and have read this series out of order. I love longer stories , more details and just more !! These books have that and so I read Mica and then had to jump forward to Jase , then went back and now have moved to Gunny !! I know BAD BLOGGER ! I am feeling much better now about the story line and again I love that this author isn't afraid to go the extra mile and write a longer story with tons of details and many many ...more

I LOVE this series! I LOVE Gunny! Most certainty can be read as a standalone, but I strongly recommend enjoying in sequenced order. Each journey is just to amazing to miss. There is also that chain reaction movement( that's what I refer to it anyway). Every individual storyline has a conclusion. The reaction occurs when detail/ characters from one storyline find themselves evolving in another. Such as an introduction of a character, a brief explanation to an event, etc.

This author really does know how to confuse the ever loving hell out of the reader! (I'll get back to this comment momentarily...)

So Gunny...Poor damaged Gunny! I think him and Sharon might be my favorite couple next to Slate and Ruby!

I have to admire Sharon because despite everything her psychotic ex husband put her through, she was still a very strong willed woman. She had the courage to leave, get divorced and even though she lived in fear of being found, she still lived her life.

Lane Robinson, former Marine has been kind of wandering through life. After a mission that ends in lost lives, he’s discharged from the Marines, and looking for somewhere to call home. He finds that home with the Rebel Wayfarers. He has the close knit family unit he had when he was in the Marines, but he’s dealing with some demons from the time of his service. He’s been suffering from PTSD, and not many people in his MC are aware of his past.

Gunny (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #5) by MariaLisa deMora is the next installment on one of the brothers of the club. This is Gunny and Sharon’s story. We met Gunny and Sharon in Jase’s story. Sharon is Jase’s sister and is recovering from her beating from her ex husband and Gunny is the brother who no one really knows. He keeps to himself and very few people know his story. The story begins with Gunnery sergeant Lane Robinson being the lone survivor of an ambush and walking for 3 weeks before he is ...more

Sometimes the here and now reality slips from him but not like it used too. Finding himself yearning for a connection, he finds himself a new family with the Rebel Wayfarers MC and this is as close to being with his brothers in the service as he can get. He helps with building the bikes, to bouncing at the strip club. Things ...more

I decided to take on Gunny after I got on a MC Romance kick. I have to say it was a great decision on my part. This story is amazing and so real. MariaLisa does a very good job of taking you in to the heart of this story and pulling at some very strong emotions. This one thing that makes a book for me, if the author can bring me in, make me feel what the characters are feeling you have me.

I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and I was kept interested. The story has laughs, pain, abuse, love, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first

Slate (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #2)
Bear (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #3)
Jase (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #4)

MariaLisa de Mora has a beautiful dedication at the beginning of Gunny that needs to be read for Veterans everywhere! I loved it! I feel that MariaLisa did a great job and honoring our Veterans with this terrible disorder of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Loved Gunny! I was so happy to get my hands on this one because I just knew Gunny's story would be intense from the glimpses we got of him in Jase. I was definitely not disappointed!

As always, Author MariaLisa deMora brought us another winner with this fifth book in the Rebel Wayfarers MC series, Gunny! The writing was top-notch as I've come to expect and immensely appreciate from this writer.
