Adrik Marinov spent his life running from a mafia throne he never wanted. Raised in the shadows by a ruthless Russian father, he learned to lead with violence and trust no one. He finally walked away from the family empire, but he couldn’t forget who he was. Restless and guarded, he was a man looking for an escape, haunted by the fear that he’d never be free as long as his father was still breathing.
Hans Schoroeger was a quiet professor living in Germany who thought his heart was safer behind books than with a person. He had traded heartbreak for books and the ocean, convincing himself he was better off alone. Deep down, he still craved to be someone’s “only choice.”
In a world of violence and secrets, they’ll have to decide if love is a lifeline or a death sentence.
