Most people know very little about the world of volunteer pet rescue transport - a chain of people ferrying an animal from certain death to a new home. Their story is told here, in choppy, disjointed interviews and emails, as well as through the author’s eyes.

It’s a short book, and a quick read, but a bit of a tearjerker.

I enjoyed this book very much, and as I was reading I wondered if people who haven't done transports would find Fifteen Legs as inspiring as those of us who do participate in transporting. Clearly it would be wonderful if this book did get some people off their sofa for a couple of hours on a weekend to give transporting a try.

A little gasoline and a couple of hours of your time is all it takes to help save a life. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
