Trevor Wright is basically a genius. His ideas are so practical, realistic and simple that they are revolutionary. His style is simple, clear and incredibly focused, meaning that it is impossible not to learn from his writings. I will certainly be popping back into this book on a regular basis and I'm definitely going to go and read his other book, 'how to be a brilliant trainee teacher' now! A must for every secondary English trainee teacher.

I picked this up to get some quotes and thoughts for a class I taught about how to teach computer skills to children.

The author is from the UK so some of the details are not precise for the US but the concepts are all very appropriate for anyone who takes teaching or mentoring seriously.

Brilliance awaits
