...because books are not only about brooding heroes or men with sculpted muscles!
...because a HULK of a man is even more attractive with his finesse and wit than any other!
...because Gérard is eternal!

...because I am determined to read this IN FRENCH even though my French is painfully neglected!
...because...Ca s'est fait comme ça!

A good easy read about struggles, success, attitude and a different perspective on the world. Some interesting thoughts about Russia.

I am very skeptical about sharing my opinion(my rating) since this is an autobiography. In general, I have always liked Gerard, but I never actively searched for facts about him online. This was a really nice read which motivated me to continue working hard and doing what I love.

Great book, more for the uniqueness of the story and for the hope it vehicles (a man from nowhere can climb the social ladder and go anywhere he wants thanks to his passion) than for the writting quality in itself. It is an example that sometimes, birth doesn't matter and it is all about talent, will and opportunities although difficulties are always present.

Quite possibly the most random book I've ever read. Especially since I'm not even a fan and I've probably only watched him in Asterix and Obelix and possibly one more role, but it was there, and I love autobiographies, so, yeah. There were some things I liked and some things I really didn't like, but at least nothing seemed sugarcoated. Basically, this book reads just like you'd expect from Gérard Depardieu. It "looks" like him in every possible way.
