I became a primary school teacher and began writing when I was living in Glasgow, Scotland for two years and teachers were all on strike. My first novel was a medical thriller with a good dash of romance thrown in.
I have now written well over a hundred romance novels with more than a dash of medicine thrown in. I love weaving the emotional journey of a love story through the background drama the medical world can provide. I also love the rabbit holes I can go down in the name of research.
Above all, I love romance. And a happy ending!

Tillie is trying to make a success of her fledgling business, 'A Promise in Provence' , where the idea is that she provides romantic occasions where her clients can have an idyllic setting to make their marriage proposals. When she takes on Angus who is planning to propose to his girlfriend this goes awry when he turns up on his own.
As usual in this series the setting in Provence sounds magical and I found myself looking on the Internet for pictures of the area which really brought it to life for me. Angus comes across as a really dour person who thinks everything through carefully, doesn't make snap decisions and doesn't believe in romance. Tillie, on the other hand, sees romance all the time, even though she hasn't had any real success in this in her own life. Personally I'm somewhere in between the two, but tending to side more with Tillie's viewpoint. How these two totally disparate characters gradually grow together makes for a read that I really enjoyed, 4.5*rounded up to 5*.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

An enchanted read taking us back to Provence. The beautiful settings in Provence close to the places in the South East of France, already discovered in the previous books of the series. In this book it is the story about Mathilde Pascoe, "Tilly" and Angus McLeod. The story is really good and it is a trip to remember for Angus, who was supposed to go on a proposal trip with his girl friend. Changes happen un-expectingly and Angus ends-up going alone with Tilly on an adventure of his life. The story is really sweet and so many ways to actually build memories and maybe a new life.
I truly enjoyed this book and overall pleasant read.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to have read the book.

Set in Provence, this grumpy/sunshine story is romantic and vivid, despite the male protagonist being anything but romantic. Tilly and Angus are thrown together unexpectedly as he decides to experience Provence without his intended companion. The evocative settings and the proximity soon make the couple aware of the other, and a chance for something more glimmers in their futures. I enjoyed the storytelling and the vibrant setting.

This was a lovely story. Angus is not a romantic man and has allowed Tilly to plan a romantic proposal for him in France but before he arrives his girlfriend tells him she has fallen in love with someone else. He is a Scott and does not want to waste the money so he travels to France and arranges with Tilly that she should accompany him on the trip and make sure there are no romantic gestures. This is difficult for Tilly as she loves romance that's why she runs this proposal planner service. As they travel together she does the unthinkable and falls in love, Angus finds that romance is not that bad and that he can't love without her.
This is a great story lots of adventures and romance.
Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood books for my arc copy
