«Белые Ночи», повесть Федора Достоевского, опубликованная в 1848 году, является отступлением от привычных для автора социальных и политических тем, предлагая читателю сентиментальный и романтический рассказ. Действие происходит в Санкт-Петербурге, в период так называемых белых ночей ― явления, характерного для северных широт России, когда сумерки практически не наступают, создавая сюрреалистическую атмосферу, идеальную для встречи главного героя, которого зовут просто «Мечтателем», и Настеньки ― юной девушки, такой же мечтательной.
