One world, two races, separated by walls of dirt and rock. Chad lives below ground in a world where slaves are the life force his people feed on. Dae, beautiful and obedient has been his personal slave for years and he has done the unthinkable, he has fallen in love with her. He wants her to be his equal, to change the life of the slaves. But how?

In the world above, Salana lives the life of royalty and has been promised to a man for political reasons. She is adrift in feelings of being a mere possession to be bartered for. Salana wants to know love, she wants to feel a sense of self-worth.
When Chad ventures into the upper world, fate has put Salana in the right place at the right time. Together they will attempt to change the very fiber of their worlds. At what cost? Could giving Dae the opportunity to think and act for herself mean Chad will lose her forever? What of Salana? Will she find self-worth only to lose any chance of finding love?

In a tale of love, loss and deception, can there be enlightenment, fulfillment and freedom for all? Can they devote their lives to helping others without losing the happiness they so anxiously search for?

If you haven’t read anything by Charlene A. Wilson yet, it’s a safe bet that no matter what you pick up, you’re going to get lost in her world and be reluctant to leave! Ms. Wilson fills her world with emotion and conflict yet always leaves room for wonderful character development and scenes that will come alive before your eyes. For fantasy lovers, Blessed of the Gods is the Rembrandt of make believe. Her style paints vivid pictures while your mind interprets every word and action as the pace ebbs and flows with the tension. If books were jewels, and the authors determined their cut and clarity, I’m thinking Charlene A. Wilson would be a master jeweler! New to fantasy? This is a great place to start, love, intrigue, danger and a coming of age for new ideas, all set in a world one can only imagine.

I received this copy from Charlene A. Wilson in exchange for my honest review.

Charlene you have done it yet again!! What an intriguing story of civilizations that lives on the earth and below the earth and the differences of their lives and how they discover each other and help each other and what happens along the way. A very captivating story and a page turner to say the least. I can't wait for the next story to come out to find out what happens to these new and old friends! Thanks Charlene!

The intro was a bit long, where you get to meet the characters, so it took me a while to get in the book.
But when I did: wow!
Couldn't put it down, totally sympathized with Salana and Chad.
Just lost for words right now.

What a wonderful story in a coming of age. setting. This is a tale where two worlds who are polar opposites in culture, beliefs and complete way of living are thrown together for the greater good. The main character, Chad, does have a hard time deciding on who his true love will be. This is a totally charming book well worth reading.

A complex and wonderful read. Something awesome and new for fans of Wilson! Loved this story and the characters I got to learn about by reading it. They are all so full of backstory and complex emotions it makes for a heavy read. You'll get sucked in immediately, but need to take some breather breaks to get your orientation back. I can't wait to see what's next in this series!

After reading the trilogy of the cornerstone deep, I thought I would miss the characters. But this book introduced me to a whole new spectrum of people who have quickly become as rich as the others were. The saga continues and I'm impatient to know what's coming now.
Thank you Charlene

First off, before I get started, I just want to thank Charlene for this book in exchange for an honest review. So, with that said, our friendship does not influence any of this, but I am pleased to say that I enjoyed it!

WOW! I'm just now wrapping my head around this book! Just breathtakingly AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! There are just so many things I absolutely cherished about this story, and I'll try to elaborate on some of them.

First off, this is a tale that weaves a lot of familiar themes into a masterful story. And one of the main ones is: just how far are we willing to sacrifice for love?

Chad and Salana, both royals, live two worlds apart: one above, and one below. And both of them hold responsibility to their people. Yet, both feel like something is missing in their life, which brings them together. Fate? Or coincidence?

Chad's people, the Tsosey, have depended on "slunks" as their vitality source to survive for centuries. Without them, their race is doomed. But Chad, secretly in love with his slunk, Dae, strives to find a cure so they can live without the need of servants to fuel their energy. And there's only one place that could possibly hold the answer: The Sun Nation, where he meets Salana, who joins him in his quest.

But will he find this cure? And better yet, what will the repercussions be if he succeeds? You'll have to read and find out!

The only problem I had with this book was the beginning. It started out slow, but I gave it a chance. I'm so glad I did! Charlene's descriptions are just marvelous. Sometimes I forgot I was even reading, because I could see everything happening before me like watching a movie. I found it super difficult to put this down, because I came to care for all of the characters, even the minor ones, which goes to show just how much Charlene took the time to flesh out this imaginative world. Honestly, I would love to see this as a movie someday!

But the feels! I experienced so many emotions from this book. I only know one other book that's ever made me feel that way. This is definitely a recommended read, and I promise you, once you've got through the beginning, you won't be disappointed! And this is coming from someone who doesn't care much for romance or character-driven plots. At. All. Charlene has made me think twice, and has gained a new fan!

I have to admit something , this is the first book I have read from this author. Now I am kicking myself because I waited for so dang long. This book had me turning pages all night long . I admit it gave me a bit of a book hang over . I mean its a book with two world that are separated by rocks and dirt . Chad is from below and he is in love with his vitality host. He has been since they were both children . He wants to find the World of the Sun so he can find a way to live with out Dae's help. Where he meets Salana a daughter of the Sun Nation, she decides to help him but like with all great books . She has to fight her feelings for the young man . And what will this mean for both nations.

The characters in this book are very riveting and complex. They take us on an adventure, Chad is a very determined and yet tortured young man. He will do almost anything to find a way to be with the young woman that has captured his heart from the time they were children. He wants to help his people and you see that shine through. Salana's character is a strong character but as a child born of royalty she has traditions to uphold , which she is not sure if she should be . So when the two characters meet they are out for an adventure and start traveling down a path that will change their lives. These characters really stood out for me . They both want to help people. They are both strong and they could be your best friend or sister or brother .

This is a story of love , betrayal and deception, you will want to cheer for each and every character . You will go on an adventure ride full of twists and turns and there are some OMG moments that will have you turning pages. The writing is so good and the author can weave a tale . If you haven't read anything by Charlene, this is the book you should start with. I know you will not be disappointed. Charlene is going on my ever growing list of authors to follow and read more of.

Blessed of the Gods by Charlene A. Wilson is an amazing story. Charlene takes you on an emotional ride and her descriptive writing takes you into the worlds you are reading about.
Salana lives in a world of wealth. She has everything but what she wants, love. Being born of royalty, and promised to a man who shows her no affection she searches for meaning in her life.
Chad lives in a world beneath hers. His life is filled with challenges and one is Dae. A woman he has grown up beside, and fallen in love with, yet it’s forbidden. She is part of the slave community that his race depends on for life. Something he is determined to find a way to stop.
He sees the world above as his answer. A place his people do not venture, but he must to find a way to save his people, and free the slaves.
Chad and Salana’s paths cross and what happens will take both their lives on an action filled, emotional race to find answers.
This story is filled with turns, and twists that you will not see coming. An emotional roller coaster which will keep you on the edge of your seat, and leave you wanting more, I know I do. Charlene Wilson is a gifted writer. One I will defiantly put on my list of authors to buy more from.

Chad is in love. Unfortunately, it is with his slave Dae, which is forbidden. Chad longs to free Dae, and her people, but he can’t do it alone. Salana wants to help. Salana was born royalty and lives in a wealthy world. She has all she wants, and is already promised in marriage. Chad’s race depends upon Dae’s community for their survival, as they need a “host” to live. If Chad frees her people, it will have an incredible impact on his own nation. However, he knows that the way things are is not right. He wants to take a stand and make a change. Does fate have a different plan for them? This is a tale of friendship, betrayal, love, and devotion. Wilson’s descriptive prose makes the reader a part of the story. Be prepared for a number of unexpected turns throughout!

What can I say, I love Ms. Wilson's writing! Blessed of the Gods took me on an emotional coaster ride with Chad, Dae, Salana and poor Styne! Things really aren't right in his world and I'm glad he had the guts to stand up and try to make a change. Twists turned in ways I didn't expect, but they couldn't have been more right. From caverns to the world where the sun shines, Ms. Wilson describes the scenes beautifully and makes you feel like you're in the characters shoes experiencing things for the first time. So cool! I had to give it a full five stars. I anxiously await book two. I think it's World Beneath the Rock!!

This book is one of those that starts VERY slowly before you will sink in the plot. Until about 30% of the book I was like - this will be 3 stars read, but then it CHANGED t a great intriguing read with deep problems and characters.
Two different worlds - the world above and the world below. Each completely different and developed with strict customs. The World above is the world of the sun with royalties and so on, but each person is free here. Only employed as a servant.
In the world below - there are two groups of people Masters and Servers. The server has only one duty to keep his master alive and please him. Chad wants to start changes, but will he mage to do it with help of the Royal Daughter of the Sun Nation - Salana.
How will his people react to her? I can promise a lot of complicated situations and clashes between two completely different cultures.
I really enjoyed it!

What a lovely book of fantasy and romance. Chad is trying everything to change the status of his slave, as he is in love with her. Two different worlds, above and below earth, and the hardships it brings. First book from this author for me, but definitely not the last. Appreciated receiving an ARC to introduce me to this author.

I absolutely love this book! I did need a bit adjustment time in the beginning to really wrap my mind behind the fine details of this magnificent world. But once I was in this story, in this world, I loved everything that came along. An unique but beautiful world filled with many beautiful people. Three different people from three different races come together to solve a limitation on one of those races: the Tsosey. They depend on a certain lifeforce, a vitality boost from the Chamber people, otherwise they die. This has resulted in the Chamber race being enslaved by the Tsosey. Chad hates this way of life, hates the whole master-servant concept and leaves on a mission to free his people from this need. Free them from that limitation that has cost the lives of so many of his kind and keeps the Chambers from living free lives of their own. So he leaves in search for answers, along with his Chamber servant Dae. Meeting Salana seems to be the will of the fates that guide Chad in his queste.

I received this story for an honest review.
Yet again Charlene A Wilson has spun her golden web aground me and captivated me with her gift of writing. Expanding the world she created of different societies and rules but yet keeping the link open to her pasts stories. There is no cliffhanger but she leaves a door there to be remained closed or open upon her and the readers digression.
If you enjoyed her past stories then you'll love this one to.

This book is absolutely intriguing. I loved it. To read about other civilizations like this book was amazing. I couldn't put this book down. A master falls for his server then falls for a woman from a different culture. Love surpasses all in this. I see a story for Allant. Its also very well written. To have another series fall along the Cornerstone deep. Looking for what is to come. I received this book for free in an exchange for an honest review.
