This is a story about the change of times when the old gods lose their power and have been replaced from the humanity. Two legendary heroes born from the violent contact between the dragons and humans establish the new world order.

Satanasov (real name is Daniel Atanasov) has been interested in Manga since he was a child. This determined his lifetime interest in drawing and culture. He studied drawing in high school in Yambol, (hometown of Prof. Ivan Gazdov), from 1993 to 1998. After that he enrolled at the University of Veliko Turnovo specializing in Illustration under the guidance of Prof. Rumen Skorchev. He graduated in 2002.

From his first years at the University he has been involved professionally with Manga.
1999 – adapted illustrations to the children’s books THE WILD SWANS and ANDERSEN TALES.
2000 – a comics début in the monthly lifestyle magazine EGOIST.
2001 – comics adaptation of the fantasy story by M. JOHN HARRISON “VIRICONIUM” published in SF magazine FANTASY FACTOR.
2002 – character designs in the monthly lifestyle magazine AZ.
2003 – work in the film company NEW IMAGE as storyboard artist in a number of Hollywood productions.
2003 – The start of his work in the reinvigorated and one of its kind (for the present moment in Bulgaria) magazine DAGA (“Rainbow”). This magazine is a legend that seized its existence after the political changes that took place in Bulgaria in 1989. A group of young enthusiasts that included Satanasov,have reistablished the fame of comics culture within Bulgaria. He has contributed with two comics works: BION and BONZAI, which have been put first and second, respectively, in the reader’s top chart for favorite comics.
2004 17. 07 - Together with few people interested in Manga and in similar fields Satanasov founded the first Manga exhibition in Bulgaria, which was received very well by the media, critics and audience.

2005 24. 02 - His works BION, BONZAI, SHAMAN got awarded in the Manga Devision - “Recommended from the Jury” section at the 8th JAPAN MEDIA ARTS FESTIVAL.
Satanasov's works were selected amongst over 1498 works from 43 countries.
He is the only foreigner awarded in this category.As the artist says ' For me it is a this is a great success – recognition in the the Manga homeland!'
2005 – New mutual project Satanasov with the author of SHAMAN – illustration and character design on the gaming book NIGHTSILK.
2005 – Satanasov wins in two categories at the International Manga& Anime Festival(IMAF) London ,UK. ''Bonzai'' - first prize in the category for children comics,

2006-3rd place International Manga& Anime Festival,UK, DRAGONLAST.
2006-1st place Macedonian Strip Center Veles-DRAGONLAST
2007-1st place ,Best Young Comics Artist on the Balkans-SHAMEN.
2007/08-his works are published in The Mammoth Book of Best Manga vol.2 and in Comic Art Now-DRAGONLAST.
2008- International Manga Award-SHAMAN
2008-ilustrations for the book THE DRAGON AND THE WARLORD(Barrington Stoke -Scotland)
Satanasov has had intervews with several National TV channels ,BNT,BTV, MM.
Recently Satanasov was invited to do talks about comics in Serbia and Macedonia.

Когато излизаше, по онова време все още „новата” „Дъга”, два от комиксите, чийто следващи епизоди очаквах с нетърпение бяха “Bion” и „Бонзай”. Общото между тези два комикса (освен изданието), беше творецът зад тях – Даниел Атанасов, познат повече като Сатанасов. Виждали сте негови работи още на страниците на „Егоист”, „Фентъзи Фактор”... Но ето, че сега той най-накрая е получил шанс да разкаже своя история в самостоятелно издание! Прочетете ревюто на "Книжни Криле":

„Dragonlast“ – български комикс с манга привкус: http://azcheta.com/dragonlast-satanasov/

„Dragonlast“ притежава всички задължителни съставки за готина драматична история – дракони (кажете ми, съществува ли нещо, което драконите не биха могли да направят страхотно?), кървави битки и badass герои с тъмно минало. Историята и рисунъкът са силно повлияни от манга и аниме културата, което беше допълнителен плюс за мен, имайки предвид, че след храната, книгите и симфоничния метъл, анимето се нарежда в топ листата на нещата, които ме правят щастлива. И все пак най-любимото ми нещо в този комикс беше хорър еднорогът. Не предполагах, че някой би могъл да направи еднорозите ужасяващи, но този изглежда така, все едно току що е разкъсал и изял сладките си розови братовчедки от „Малкото пони“.
