I. LOVED. This. Book!! I'm not even sure why I love it so much. But, isn't that the sign of a great story. It just made me happy and stays with me. Yes, there is great writing and Payton and Cruz were incredible characters yet it was the entirety of the book that sucked me in and had me glued to the pages with a silly smile on my face. This one has an unexpected road trip, a little white lie, and a whole lot of tequila! Always a combination for disaster. In the case of Payton and Cruz, it may be ...more

It has been quite some time since this NetGalley reviewer has read such an engaging, refreshingly romantic tale with heart-melting but not overly descriptive, steamy scenes. This one, my romance book-loving friends, is focused on real emotions and romance. It is the unfolding love story of a betrayed, rich socialite and a handsome, committed to his family/business Latino who thinks he is not good enough for her. This author proves you don’t need a lot of dirty talk to speak the language of love. ...more

This sweet opposites attract romance is the story of Cruz and Payton. En route to Cruz’s brother Dominic’s (and Payton’s best friend Kate’s) Puerto Vallarta wedding , they end up stranded at the airport with no flights heading to their destination. Despite their mutual dislike of each other (from a previous meeting where Cruz’s assumptions of Payton as a spoiled socialite colored their first meeting when she overheard him speaking ill of her), the only way to get to the wedding on time is to ren ...more

Her Accidental Husband, the second book in the Sorensen Family series is a standalone read. It brings together Cruz Sorensen and Paige Vaughn, who have a love-hate relationship. The two initially met in the first book, Her Backup Boyfriend, when Cruz unknowingly insulted Payton, resulting in her hitting him in the head with a vase. Now, the two are thrown together when they are forced to travel together from Texas to Puerto Vallarta via car to attend the wedding o

*ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

Going to a "destination" wedding is more difficult than Payton and Cruz imagined it would be. Going to Kate (Paytons best friend) and Dominics (Cruzs' brother) wedding.

Cruz was asked to accompany (read: babysit) Payton on the flight to Puerto Vallarta, a flight that did not end,er land where expected. Forced to endure a road trip that included broken down rental cars, not-enough-room-in-the-inn situations (read: shared rooms), an engag

No spoilers, just my honest opinion. :-)

Payton and Cruz. I'm not quite sure what to make of those two or this story. Did I like them as characters? They were ok, but I didn't have any warm or fuzzy feeling about them, especially not Cruz. I thought Cruz was a but stiff and quite frankly a bore to me. I get he wanted be the best, but I feel he was a bit obsessed with it. Almost to the point where he almost lost what should had been important

Just as good as book one, this time we get to see Cruz and Payton fall for each other after having rubbed each other the wrong way on their first meeting. It's fun to see their dynamic. It's not fully enemies to lovers, but there is a fun antagonism that keeps things edgy until they realize they're gone for each other. The conflict was natural and it was easy to understand why they would both pull back when things seemed to fall apart. The side characters are still great, and the road trip aspec ...more

This was just as sweet and fun to read as the first one in the series. I'm kind of enjoying this Mexican family showing the snooty, entitled peeps how it's done and what's important.

Payton Vaughn is in need of a little escape from reality, she is really looking forward to her little getaway to Puerto Vallarta for her friend Kate's wedding. This trip is not just an opportunity for some fun in the sun, but also a chance to escape the clutches of her overbearing mother. Her mother has certain expectations for her, and how she should live her life, including choosing the perfect mate for her daughter to marry. And while her fiance may look good on paper, he is actually a two ti ...more
I love road trip plots, especially when they involve two polar opposites thrown together via circumstances and the entertaining chaos that inevitably follows; Her Accidental Husband was all of the above. Cruz and Payton’s tequila and chocolate fueled adventures were hilarious good fun. However there was a bit too much drama and lack of communication between them that bogged down the romance. It didn’t help that their chemistry was on the meh side. (view spoiler) ...more

I enjoyed Her Accidental Husband.

This was a sweet, fun and emotional read.
I enjoyed watching Payton and Cruz relationship develop. They both were fun and likable characters and they had amazing chemistry.
This was a quick and enjoyable read with a little drama thrown in. Payton and Cruz had to work through some personal issues to be able to give their hearts unconditionally to each other.

Thank you Entangled Bliss via NetGalley for the advance copy.

All Payton wants is to get to Puerto Vallarta for BFF Kate's wedding, and yet it seems as if the Fates have decreed that it will be as difficult as possible for her to accomplish this.

First, she recognizes Cruz, the brother of Kate's fiancé, a cold man whose judgment of her oozes from him almost as intensely as his hotness. Payton knows that Cruz's appearance on her flight is purposeful; she is being babysat. Payton has a (well-earned) reputation for being "free spirited," which seems t

I received a copy of this title from NetGalley. It does not impact my review.

When I started to read Her Accidental Husband I realized it was the follow up to Her Backup Boyfriend, which is a super cute fake relationship story. I’m happy to report that this one is just as cute.

Cruz and Payton have always had an attraction to each other – even if they can drive each other crazy. It’s a moot point, however, since Cruz has all but sworn off relationships to focus on work and Payton is engaged to som

I really liked this story and it kept me turning the pages from the beginning. I loved that it had humor, romance and adventure. Aslhee Mallory did an awesome job with not making this your typical story about a trip gone wrong and the characters fall in love, this story had much more than other ones. I was holding my breath hoping that everything turned out good for Payton and Cruz.

Love comes unexpectedly even when you were engaged to be married

This is the second installment in the Sorensen Family series and my first read by this author. This story was interesting and it was romantic. A woman that had been engaged to a man that ended up being exactly like her father. These two people ended up meeting because of her bestfriend and his brother. But when he saw her in the flower shop it changed everything.

Cruz and Payton are first in the same flight that is going to take them

This is such an enjoyable series to listen to. The characters are likeable and a family I would love to be a part of. The storyline was different then I have read before and I appreciated that. I also liked that it included Dominic and Kate's wedding.

Payton Vaughn has spent her entire life living by her mother's rules. She is doing the work her mother wants her to do, presently herself a certain way, and even plans to marry the man her mother wants her to marry. Well, until she finds out through video chat that her fiance is cheating on her. She calls off the whole thing and decides to just focus on getting to her friend's wedding in Mexico. She didn't expect to be stuck with her infuriating friend's future brother in law, Cruz, for the trip ...more
I received a copy of this book through NetGalley from Entangled Publishing for an honest review. I was unexpectedly surprised that the story didn't go the predictable route where they were married after a drunken night early on in the book. The characters and story developed... and then of course they were married after a drunken night. Even though I knew it was going to happen, I found myself getting more and more invested with the characters as we led up to this eventuality. It was also easy t ...more

An epic road trip through Mexico, ends up with tequila and a wedding makes for fun read. Payton and Cruz are opposites. Payton, a spoiled socialite, just found her fiance cheating. Cruz is a work alcoholic, and does have time for romance. They are both heading down to Puerto Vallarta for a wedding. With a few speed bumps on the way, they find themselves as man and wife. Payton's mother is a number class snob otherwise known as the dragon!, and does not approve, Ex fiance shows up and tries to c ...more

I'll keep this short since I'm a little annoyed at how this book ended. I didn't like the H. He didn't grow on me. He was rude and mean to the h, made many assumptions about her, and had a huge chip on his shoulder that just wouldn't go away. There was a point in the story where I thought the MCs were going to wise up and figure things out like adults, but no. It was just a tease. Then there's the ending. It was abrupt

Great book! The characters were fun, I loved watching Cruz and Payton grow into themselves. They changed before my eyes and for the better! Payton thought she had it all, money, family and a finance she thought she loved. When a wake call happens to her she see's there is more in life than what she was lead to believe her whole life. Cruz wants success and thinks he isn't complete until he has it. Cruz and Payton got a rocky start back at his brother's engagenment party and neither forgot the ba ...more

I loved this story between Cruz and Payton. I loved their walls they had built around themselves but somehow only the other was the one to get past them. The emotions I felt when reading this book were strong. I swear I had a lump in my throat during a couple of scenes. I love books that invoke such feeling from me. I loved that this book as well as the first one had such a strong family to welcome Payton and knock sense into Cruz.

I hope Ashlee Mallory continues to do more in this series becaus

**My thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing LLC, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This was a fun read and the initial story is spread over three days where the main characters are travelling to Mexico for a wedding.

Payton was amazing and is going to see her BFF Kate married to Dominic, the brother of Cruz who is travelling with her.

Although i did not find an initial connection between them, you certainly do once their trip continues via car.

Its a light read, clean an

And once again, I find myself saying there is nothing about this story I did not love!
This was yet another sweet, heart-warming story that was easy to read and had a steady pace. I read it in just an afternoon. Sometimes, you just need these types of stories. The easy ones. the ones that are not full of drama and twists and turns.
I read both book 1 in this series and this book in one sitting. They were just that easy to get lost in ... *sigh* I'm really loving everything about Ashlee Mallory's

I received this from Netgalley/ Entangled publishing in exchange for an honest review. A rich socialite and her babysitter. Well, not a babysitter but a yummy gentlemen that likes to pick a fight. This book was really good but not until about 53% in. It was kind of slow up until then. I enjoyed the banter but man at the end the guy was just a jerk. He did not deserve her at the end but still an okay read.

Not as cute or endearing as the first book in the series. I didn't love these characters as much as I did Kate and Dominic. It was a very unlikely romance between Cruz and Payton and they just didn't convince me they were ready for a happily ever after. They had a tough challenge ahead of them figuring things out and I didn't see that happen. Nevertheless, there were cute moments between the two and this was a fairly enjoyable read. But also kind of annoying and frustrating at times.
