This is book 1.5 in the "A Singular Obsession" by Lucy Leroux.
This is a really hot, short read (about 62 pages) that you will love. This is a standalone book so if you have not read the previous one you will be okay.
Noah Masters was a race car driver and now is trying to do something else. While trying to figure that out he heads to his dad's house. There he meets his new 'step-sister' and finds that he has falling in love with her.
Charlie (step-sister) has had a kind of rough time of it as her mom was in and out of relationships and taking her different places. So she is older in some ways that her actual age. When she meets Noah she finds that she is drawn to him and they start to form a relationship.

Too short to be a 5 star! Sorry but it was a nice story but the heroine jumps into bed with the hero and then they move in together,what? I can't say I don't love the possessive mega hot guy, I just adore them. This is why the 3 stars and not really cause the book was great. Guy sees hot girl wants her go on my fake date kisses girl and they have sex 3 days later. I don't buy it but heck it was short and sweet!

I happen to love this series, even the novella's are cute. I mean, they aren't as good as the full books but for novella's they are pretty good. Once again, like in the first book, we have a man falling in love with someone "related" to him. I believe Charlie was considered Noah's step-aunt though she was younger than him. Noah seemed to be drifting around with no direction after a race car accident. He meets Charlie and suddenly he knows what's been missing. I'm a sucker for a man that instantly knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it.

I would say this novella ends on a Happily For Now rather than a Happily Ever After but that's okay, I choose to believe they go on to get married and make it.

It was a cute sweet short read. I do wish we got to know them a little better. Its a short so thats ok. Charley was sweet and really naive for her age... 18 to just turning 19. Not her fault though. Her sister was responsible for her and always dragged her around places when she married someone new. Had to always re-do her grades so not much of a childhood. Sorta sad. Noah's dad wasn't much better. He was kind of a jerk...self centered. Noah's a race car driver and pretty successful at so young, 22. He's kinda tired of it and wants to do something different. He meets his new sorta step-sister but since Charley is the sister of his new step-mom she's really nothing to him. He likes her though. She's beautiful and doesnt know it. He saves her from his friend hitting on her and talks to her in her room to get to know her. He's drawn to her and gives her one heck of a kiss which she totally digs. She's not afraid of him just wary and unsure. Innocent in all ways. He stays away from her after that afraid he will go to far with her. After learning her past and the constant moving around and nobody really caring about her or what happens to her he goes back and pretty much says your mine. Its love at first sigh but he fought it. :) He's your basic white knight and he's really sexy and a strong character. They get together and just gets better. He buys her the sweetest birthday gift gets a job near her college school and asks her to move in and she accepts. Its really a sweet story. He even confronts his dad and although there are things his dad didnt realize about Charley he still defends his wife. Whatevs. Anyways, enjoyed the story. Cute.

The hero of this novella is an injured athlete who sees a teenager getting sexually assaulted by one of his friends so of course afterwards he barges into her room uninvited although he hears the water running in the room and she might be in the shower, suggests that they fix what happened by doing erotic roleplay, gets a security person snooping on her background, buys her a book, thinks it gives him the right to go and kiss her without saying hello, then they have sex without a condom because he doesn't like condoms. It goes without saying that she is a virgin and his genitals have seen action with a lot of women. Then he gets them an apartment without asking her first, tells her sister to leave her alone, without asking her first, decides that they want a big family without asking her first. He gets lucky because it turns out she likes getting tied up.

I got this Kindle book for free so the bright side is the book was worth what I paid for it.

This is a wonderful book. The hero did not know the heroine even though her sister married into the family. He took care of her since no one else did. Lucy Leroux is a great author. Make sure you read her books under the name of L.B. Gilbert.

Although this was really short, I enjoyed this book. Noah was a rich, free spirit that wasn't sure what he wanted out of life until he meets Charlie. Charlie is his father's new wife's sister. She's basically neglected and lonely. She has no friends and only focuses on her school work. She's basically invisible to everyone except Noah. Noah and Charlie quickly fall for each other, which felt rushed, but the way Noah took charge and forged ahead with their relationship and laid claim to Charlie was what made me really like this book. He even chastised Charlie's sister for neglecting her and refused to back down when his father disagreed with his choice of a girlfriend. I'm still confused as to why Charlie's sister behaved the way she did towards her, but other than that, I liked the characters, especially Noah's alpha male attitude.

This is an insta-love story that was good but too short to fall too hard for the characters. I wasn't too impressed with Noah in the beginning. He came off as a rich kid who floundered but when he meets Charlie, he grows up and secures a job and a place for his future with her that redeemed him for me. The fact that I would have loved for this to be longer to get to know the characters more earned this story 4 stars.

Short sexy NA. Not much in the way of a story. Basically just Charlie & Nick meet, have instant connection, lots of sex and move in together. While I give it 3 stars that takes into account the genre & that it is a novella. That is it is a 3 star when compared with other stories of the same type. I have other 3 star rated books that I liked much better in other genres (such as UF) where my expectations are higher but they were rated against books in that same field. Also although Charlie is a teenager it is not weird or creepy because she is 19 and Nick is 22.

I love this series, and I will happily devour every book in it. Noah is young and brilliant and, according to his father, wasting his life away in foolish pursuits. Charlie is young and brilliant and desperately trying to gain an education before the ground falls out from under her world again. Like Noah’s cousin Alex’s situation, they’re now step relations with chemistry too strong to overcome. This was a fast, sultry little read with insta-lust and insta-love. Noah’s dominant tendencies show that he deserves his place with the rest of the alphas of the Singular Obsession series.

Similar to her first book where the H falls for his stepsister. In this case, Charlie is the younger sister of his new stepmother.
Neglected and ignored most of her life, Charlie is used to being treated as an afterthought.
When Noah met her, his life shifted on its axis and she became the focus of his life.
This sweet but very sexy romance was filled with over the top passion and instalust. A short enjoyable read!

This is the 3rd book I've read written Lucy Leroux; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

As expected with a novella, this is a fast read and fast paced. It was an ok read for me but nothing really that would make me rate it higher than 3 stars.

Noah is the famous hero and Charlie is the virgin, never been kissed heroine. Their relationship starts when her "first kiss" comes from a drunk friend of Noah's and he wants to make it up to her.

Written from a dual pov, it can be read as a standalone.

A quick short that is hot and passionate as this author can do well and then it's done. It is a good story but as always with the good ones you always want more.
