Luna Stirling was on the brink of becoming a bestselling author. Her dark romance series ignited a fervor that swept through readers like wildfire, all thanks to the exciting world of BookTok. Without this vibrant and dedicated community, she could never have imagined that her tales of twisted love and seductive horror would captivate so many.

One night, as Luna promoted her book during a live stream, a renowned Masktoker, Dante Wolfe, secretly tuned in from his burner account. Intrigued by, Luna's playful comment that she left in his comment section that he could effortlessly embody the male lead of her dark romance. As he joined the live chat, he was instantly captivated by the sight of a stunning woman discussing the chilling intricacies of disposing of a body on a pig farm while her protagonists engage in a steamy encounter amidst the gruesome backdrop of pigs feasting on the remains.

At that moment, Dante realized he was destined to meet Luna, whether she was ready or not. The Killer had found his Muse, and their dark story was just beginning…

Ink and Obsession is my first book by C.A. Burkhart and I are it up! I can’t wait to see what lies in store for the next book. Luna is an upcoming dark romance author thanks to the BookTok world. Dante is a member of the Masktoker world who tuned into Luna after a comment she left him saying how perfect he’d be for her male lead, Liam. Dante is instantly attracted to and obsessed with Luna after a discussion about one of her favorite scenes in her dark romance books. To find out what happens with these two you need to read this book and you won’t be disappointed!!!

‎Not for me.

‎I thought I wanted to try something new. Masktok, Booktok, and everything that’s trending right now intrigued me, and what better way to get to know it than by reading a book about it? Unfortunately, the writing kept pulling me out of the story.

‎In just chapter one, we get almost everything about the FMC, Luna’s past: her toxic ex boyfie, how her parents died, how she became a victim of a trafficking, and even the fact that Luna isn’t her real name. Chapter one alone! It feels like trauma dumping. I would’ve loved it if these details were sprinkled throughout the book, teasing me little by little. I mean, come oooon, secret identity would’ve made a great plot twist!

‎Then there’s the MMC’s POV, which was genuinely interesting in the prologue, but later just turns into a retelling of what already happened ... Except now in his male gaze version??? I didn’t need to be told twice. You set a hidden camera on her? You stalk her? Please reveal it to me smoothly. Show me, don’t just tell me.

‎I’m still grateful to the author for the opportunity tho, and I hope she finds success just like Luna did.

This was such a fun book omg!

As a dark romance author, and fellow masktok enthusiast, Luna appealed to me so much, (me being a reader and also a huge fan of masktok! )
Luna had a rough past and gone through so much in her life, but refused to let the bad win. She focused on making her life better and proving to herself that healing is possible.
I loved that she wasn’t trying to heal for someone else but rather for herself. I found her to be very strong.

The MMC, Dante, is like a tattooed golden retriever with a dark secret. I loved how caring he was, and paid attention to Lunas needs.

The themes in this book are very much dark romance, please read the trigger warnings beforehand. However, the characters were funny, soft and very much loving.
I really enjoyed their dynamic as well as Lunas best friend.
This book had me laughing so hard in certain moments!
It kind of reminds me of Lights Out, as in it’s a funny dark romance.

I feel like the ending has left me with some questions so I’m hoping there will be more details and a resolution in book 2!

I would like to thank C.A Burkhart and her team for the ARC, I really appreciate the opportunity and really enjoyed this book!

Listen… I opened this book expecting a little dark romance escapism, maybe a few blushes, maybe a raised eyebrow or two. What I didn’t expect was to be fanning myself like a Victorian widow and texting my husband, “Cancel your plans. We need to talk.”

C.A. Burkhart did not come to play. She came to snatch my attention, my sleep schedule, and apparently my marriage’s spark plug because WOW. The chemistry? Explosive. The tension? Tight enough to tune a guitar. The plot? Deliciously addictive.

Some books entertain you.
Some books distract you.
This one?
This one had me and my husband remembering we are, in fact, still very much alive.

If you like your romance dark, your characters intense, and your reading experience followed by a sudden increase in “quality time,” this is absolutely the book for you.

10/10. No notes. Just vibes, chaos, and unexpected relationship benefits. I want more book like this just kept me engaged and I don't normally give "smutty" book 5 stars cause I think its all the same I actually skip over that part because it makes me roll my eyes but this was the perfect amount and your character Dante -- where do I get one of those (aside from my husband hehe)

What a great read! An obsessed MMC? Yes! A strong FMC? Yes! Stalker, danger, spice? Yes, yes and yes!
I really enjoyed this book. If you love Lights Out by Navessa Allen, you will love this book! In addition to this, it is also just a well written story. I loved all the elements in this book. I would rate this about a 3,5 on the 🌶️ scale 😝👌💥

This was a fun quick read with stalking from a masktok personality/hitman and a dark romance author. There were a couple of dual pov chapters that felt extremely repetitive but other than that I enjoyed the story!

Ink & Obsession by C.A. Burkhart is a dark, unhinged spiral into obsession, identity, and blurred lines between fantasy and reality—and it absolutely knows what it’s doing.
The story opens in Dante’s POV, immediately setting the tone: anonymous MaskTok fame, praise kink, voyeuristic desire, and a man who thrives on attention while hiding some very dangerous impulses. His fixation on anonymity and control feels playful at first… until it doesn’t. When one comment leads him to Luna Stirling, a dark romance author who writes about masked killers and taboo fantasies, the connection feels almost cosmic—and deeply unsettling.
Luna’s POV adds emotional weight and depth. She’s not just an author writing dark romance for shock value—her stories are survival, reclamation, and power born from real trauma. Her past is heavy: abuse, exploitation, survival sex work, and escaping an abusive partner. Writing is how she takes control again. Watching her rebuild herself while unknowingly being watched makes the tension unbearable in the best way.
What really elevates this book is the dual obsession:
Dante watching Luna
Luna unknowingly craving the very darkness Dante represents
The stalker tension is relentless. You’re constantly questioning who the real threat is, especially when Dante—who is already morally gray—realizes someone else may be targeting Luna for harm. That twist flips the narrative on its head and forces you to reassess everything you thought you understood about him.
The MaskTok/Wolfy storyline is diabolically clever. Fantasy bleeding into reality, consent versus manipulation, desire versus betrayal—it’s all explored in a way that’s deeply uncomfortable but impossible to stop reading. When the reveal happens, it’s devastating, not just shocking. Luna’s reaction feels raw, earned, and heartbreaking.
And yes—the spice is intense. Mask kink, primal play, power dynamics—it’s all there, but it never feels random. The intimacy is tied directly to control, obsession, and emotional exposure, which makes it hit harder.
The ending?
You think you see it coming… and yet it still lands.
Ink & Obsession is dark romance for readers who like:
morally black MMCs
obsession disguised as devotion
MaskTok energy
primal dynamics
psychological tension
trauma-aware FMC growth
This book doesn’t ask if obsession is healthy—it asks how far love can stretch before it breaks.

Obsessive, Dark, and Completely Addictive

Ink and Obsession by C.A. Burkhart pulled me in fast and did not let go.

This is a dark stalker romance featuring a motorcycle-riding assassin MMC with a love for masks — and yes, the obsession is very real. The FMC was just as compelling for me: a curvy dark-romance author who has survived significant trauma and comes out stronger, sharper, and fiercely independent. She has a great sense of humor and a guarded personality that made her feel incredibly relatable.

The chemistry between these two is intense from the start. There’s chase-and-catch tension, power shifts, and moments that are incredibly sexy without overshadowing the emotional story underneath. What I appreciated most was that their relationship felt messy and complicated in a believable way, especially when secrets come to light and consequences actually matter.

Beyond the romance, the book kept me guessing. I genuinely didn’t always know where the story was headed, which made it hard to put down. It balanced dark themes, humor, drama, and emotional growth in a way that kept me fully invested.

I laughed, I stressed, and I absolutely flew through this book. If you enjoy stalker romance, morally gray characters, masked mystery, and intense emotional tension, this is definitely one to add to your TBR.

ARC review - 100% honest review

3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

* Dark romance
* Secret identities
* Booktok
* Masktok (and he rides a bike 🏍️)
* Stalking

Luna, our FMC, is a writer who recently fled from her abusive ex. She’s an author who writes dark and spicy romance, the dark part is inspired by her own past and the people in it. She’s very active on VidTok, where she captures the attention of our MMC, Dante. He is also very active on VidTok where he posts anonymous thirst traps. And from here our story begins …..

Okay, this book was something. Honestly I liked the book overall, but while some parts felt drawn out other parts felt rushed. The writing was a bit off sometimes and made me pause to be sure I got everything right. Especially when the pov changes from Luna to Dante and we’re suddenly back in time to relive the chapter we just read from Lunas pov - THAT made me pause. This could however be fixed with shorter chapters and shifts in pov, so we get the pov in more “real time” if that makes sense. BUT, with that said: I actually enjoyed reading this book! Even with everything I just mentioned, I had a hard time putting the book down and I looked forward to continuing reading.

ARC review - this is my honest opinion about this book 📚

Ink & Obsession delivers everything I want in a dark romance and then some.

Dante is the ultimate dark romance book boyfriend: masked, psychotic, and ohhh sooo devoted. He will do absolutely anything for his angel, and honestly? I loved every single minute of it. But Luna is the real star. She’s a legit badass FMC! After life non stop tries to bring her down, she always shows that she isn't one to be messed with. Watching her face her trauma, embrace the darkness it left behind, and grow stronger because of it was incredible.

I devoured this book. The twists hit hard, the character growth is chef’s kiss, and the chemistry between Luna and Dante is addictive. And OMG THAT SPICE.. The scene in the woods was STEAMYYY! I also loved reading about an author FMC (bookish babes, unite), the well developed side characters, and yes the kitty stole my heart. Any book with a cat involved will always have my heart!

This story is more than just dark and spicy. It’s about strength, survival, and refusing to let the past define you. Stalking, masks, murder, obsession...it has all my dark romance favorites, and it does them right. I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for what comes next!!

Ever get that delicious shiver where you start wondering if the book in your hands is a little too real? Yeah… this is definitely one of those books.
Meet Luna—an up-and-coming dark romance author with shadows in her past and a habit of doubting her own worth. Enter Dante (trust me, you’ll figure out exactly who he is soon enough 👀). The moment he sees her, he’s hooked. And when I say hooked, I mean the slow-burn, lightly unhinged, “let me casually insert myself into your life” kind of obsession that dark romance readers live for.
Luna knows her life has never been easy, so when Dante steps in looking like a walking fantasy, everything feels way too good to be true. But GOD, that man is hot. Dangerous. Intoxicating. The kind of MMC who makes you forget your own name and question your morals.
And the spice? 🥵🔥 Absolutely feral. The fantasies played out on these pages had me clutching my imaginary pearls and rereading scenes for… research purposes. Every moment is dripping with tension, desire, and that delicious edge of “should I be enjoying this so much?”
Yes, it ends with a to be continued—and honestly? I’m obsessed. Sign me up, chain me to the next book, I don’t care. And if Alex doesn’t get his own book soon… I’m going to riot. wink 😌💋

Ink & Obsession, written by C.A. Burkhart, is a dark romance about a new best-selling author and a renowned Mastoker. This is my first time reading a book by CA Burkhart, and I really enjoyed her writing style! I look forward to reading more of her books.

This book follows Luna Stirling, an author who has just hit best-seller status. Her dark romance series has a huge following, especially on BookTok, where she has a large following and loyal community. During one of her live streams, the notorious Masktoker, Dante Wolfe, tuned in and was utterly intrigued by her playfulness. Dante Wolfe has his fair share of secrets, like what he does for a living. When he comes across Luna, he is completely enamored with her and must have her.

I loved the book's whole premise. It was addictive from the very first page. I loved the characters and the chemistry they shared. I also enjoyed how Luna had to start over after surviving a horrible ordeal in her past. The side characters, like Olivia, were fantastic! I look forward to the next book!

Thanks to C.A. Burkhart for gifting me an eARC of Ink & Obsession. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Ink & Obsession ultimate collision of BookTok and MaskTok is here, and it's 🔥

I had a lot fun reading this story about Luna Stirling, a dark romance author and BookToker with a dark past, but a bold, bright, and twisted personality thats emulated throughout her books. Her growth was great to see.

Then, enter Dante Wolfe, a magnetic man and MaskToker with secrets, who becomes obsessed with Luna after seeing her discuss her favourite scene from her book on a pig farm - yeah, that one..if you know, you know!

Dante is caring yet very possessive over Luna. C.A. Burkhart did a great job of building the obsession and their relationship layer by layer. I loved the dynamic between Luna and Dante.

I really liked how Luna's past was hamdled when it resurfaced. I thought it was very fitting.

Olivia, Luna's ride-or-die, is a queen!

Ink & Obsession shows how seamlessly social media culture, dark romance, and psychological horror weave together.

The ending sets up a potential book 2 without leaving us on an obvious cliffhanger, which I liked. It will be great to read more of Luna and Dantes story.

Don't forget to check those trigger warnings before diving in!

Thank you to C.A Burkhart for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

BOOK REVIEW📚 — 3.5⭐️ 4🌶️
‘Ink & Obsession’ by C.A. Burkhart is a dark stalker romance with a thirst trap masked MMC and a dark romance author FMC. 😈💜 There’s secret/hidden identities, past trauma, obsession, kindred spirits, overcoming the odds, and a good dose of softness and emotional moments mixed in. Luna is a woman in her 30s (which I also enjoyed, having a little older of an FMC for a change), escaping her traumatic past and an abusive relationship. Coping with her horrible past and thoughts of revenge, she funnels the rage, taboo desires/fantasies and power born from her trauma by creating a bada$$ version of herself into the serial killer FMC of her books. I enjoyed the banter between Luna and Dante, how their chemistry grows, and how he helps heal her in ways she never expected as he brings acceptance for her deep desires to surface. He’s got his own secrets and darkness, but with Luna becomes a bit of a golden retriever. He falls first, touch-her-and-die vibes, a few twists and turns, plus a great way to end a book with a TBC… made this a treat to read!! 3.5⭐️ 4🌶️

This ended up being so much better than I expected.

The FMC is an absolute badass - sharp, independent, and very relatable despite her complicated past. She’s on the run from a toxic ex and has reinvented herself as a well-known BookTok dark romance author. The darker elements she writes about feel intensely personal, and as the story unfolds, the line between the fiction she creates and the life she’s trying to escape begins to blur.

The MMC is deliciously morally gray. The kind of man who’s probably bad for you… but somehow still feels exactly right. He’s into darker romance kinks and hasn’t found someone who can truly handle that side of him - until he meets her.

Their chemistry is immediate and intense. The spice absolutely delivers (a solid 4/5 🌶️), but it doesn’t overpower the plot. There’s a strong balance between tension, emotional development, and heat, which made the relationship progression feel earned.

It’s bold, a little gritty, and leans into darker themes a while still giving us a satisfying HEA and a sweet finishing epilogue.

I’d recommend this to readers who love morally gray MMCs, strong heroines with complicated pasts, and dark romance with substance behind the steam.

Do you love Masked Men with an Obsession?! Have you ever wanted to be chased through the woods and be thoroughly F***ed?! Are you looking for a man willing to take away your fears and help you take vengeance on past Demons?! If so, this needs to be your next read!
Luna is a thriving Author, but she has a wickedly traumatic past that leaves her second guessing everything. This woman has lived through more than her fair share of Demons. Lucky for her, in storms Dante, a man clearly obsessed with all she is and has a traumatic past of his own. They struggle to keep each other at bay because they know how to pull down each other's wall around their hearts! This suspense filled novel will have you wishing you could find someone like Dante, that can help you fill your darkest desires!
I love the warrior Luna grows to be and how obsessed Dante becomes with her. I also enjoyed how she's a dark romance author and he's an online mask villain while also being a paid hit man. I've definitely added some things to try to my own "list". The only odd things were the two choppy parts that just didn't flow well, when we backtracked the story line to see Dante's point of view. Luckily it only happened twice. The first time kinda threw me because I wasn't expecting it.

Being a booktoker and fellow masktok lover, this story hit in all the right places!
Luna is an author dipping her toes in the booktok and masktok world. Dante is a masktoker who is quite popular with the ladies. But when Luna catches his attention, he becomes obsessed with her, watching her, learning her routines, even putting cameras in her house. He decides to finally make a move and plans a "run in" which is their first official meet. She doesn't know that he is the all famous masktoker though, so when she's asked about a specific character in her book, she says that she thinks he would be the perfect for the male lead. He starts posting pics of him cosplaying her character from her book and they also agree to have a meet up. But now Dante has to tell her that he and the masktoker are the same people. To make this all more entertaining, Dante wasn't the only one stalking Luna. How does she handle find out that Dante and the masktoker are one and the same? Who else is stalking her and what do they want? Guess you have to read to find out.
But don't worry, once you start reading, you won't be able to put it down and you will fly through the pages. This was great. I recommend giving this a read!!!

📚Ink & Obsession by C. A. Burkhart

If you are new to dark romance I would recommend this book to you.

Luna, our FMC, has had an extremely tough life. Tragic childhood turns into being “sold”, turns into an extremely abusive relationship. Through it all she is strong and keeps persevering moving cross country and starting a new life for herself. However, her past has created this darkness in her that is hungry for vengeance.

Dante, our MMC, is sin incarnate. Obsession/obsessed are the words used, but they are not nearly powerful enough. He gives off “I’d let the world burn…. I’d let the world burn for you” energy and I’m honestly here for it.

Tropes:
•Dark Romance
•Booktok 📚
•Masktok
•Stalker
•Hot Guy on a Motorcycle 🏍️
•Dual POV

I am a sucker for a well done dual point of view. My critic of this book is that the dual POV was sometimes re-living the same scenes from the alternate point of view leading to redundancy. There were also moments of conflicting information (i.e. the age she was when her parents 💀). Other than that, this was your average, entertaining, quick read!

Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read her work. I received this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

“Run faster, angel. The devil wants to play”

The absolute CHOKEHOLD this book has on me is unreal. I have never, in my nearly 28 years, read anything quite like this. Sure, the plot line of her being a dark romance author and him being a masktok star wasnt something I read before, but the much large plot left me speechless.

Dante is absolutely psychotic and unhinged, in the best way possible. I love me a masked psychopath, especially a righteous one such as himself. However, Luna is the real star of the show for me. Witnessing her fight through her trauma, come to terms with the darkness it left in her, and blossom from it was truly amazing. I absolutely love how this book had a strong mmc and a strong fmc. Dante may have been willing to do anything to save her and she may have even needed him to, but she was not weak. She was not incompetent. She wanted to be an active participant in her own freeing.

I think this book healed something in me. ”I am Vera, Vera is you”

Ink and Obsession was such a refreshing dark romance for me and honestly, the FMC being a grown woman in her 30s immediately had me invested. Praise be for an adult, fully-formed heroine who feels real, relatable and emotionally layered.

This book brings major “touch her and die” energy, but what really makes it hit is the depth behind it. The dark romance isn’t there just for shock value and there’s a powerful, emotional backstory that gives real weight to the characters and their choices.

I loved how the attraction builds with caution rather than insta-trust. Trauma is handled in a way that feels considered and the hesitation between the characters actually makes everything more intense and meaningful.

And that twist? Genuinely heart-dropping. The kind that makes you stop for a second and just stare at the page.

One of my favourite things was the ending as it confirms continuation without leaving you hanging off a brutal cliffhanger which I really appreciated. Intriguing, satisfying, and still leaves you desperate for more.

Dante and Luna

Tropes:
* Dark romance
* Stalker romance
* Secret identity
* Thirst trap masked MMC
* Dark romance author FMC

Content/Triggers
Too many to list!
Serial killer, blood, gore, stalking, torure, violence, trafficking, thoughts of self-harm… the list goes on….

Dark, and twisted… so, so twisted. What a story!
I’ve read a couple of stories with dark romance authors, or serial killer MMC’s or masktokers…. But this is the first time, I’ve read one with all three.

Dante, despite his darkness is golden retriever energy all the way.
Luna, seems to be the quiet type, then you get her history… and by the end of it, it’s a case of good girl gone bad.

Considering how dark the themese are in this, I wasn’t expecting sweetness, but we had it in there, with the characters providing many funny moments, along with some very tender and emotional ones.

A great read that hooks you, and a teaser… can’t wait for it to continue into book 2.

ARC

Thank you C.A. for this early copy. All parts of this review are of my honest opinion 💚

Firstly I need to be sure to remind everyone that this book does have a lot that could be a trigger for any reader. If you have interest in reading the book, please be sure to look at the content warning list first. Your mental health is important 💓

Though the writing style was a little off for me, kinda clunky, but this book does have a good storyline and uses modern day references that help make up for that. I also like the characters. They are so different, yet so alike, so they mash really well. They're funny, soft, tough, and clearly have intense trauma from their past that shapes them. It makes for them to have great understanding of the other which leads to chemistry and very spicy (and amazing) scenes.

Kinda gives me a slightly softer Butcher & Blackbird vibe so if that series was on your list of likes, this may be one to add to your collection

ARC Read 📚

Ink and Obsession had a strong, intriguing premise and moments where I was genuinely pulled in, but overall it landed a bit unevenly for me.

The obsession element is definitely front and centre, and C.A. Burkhart commits to it - which I appreciated. The atmosphere is dark, intense, and moody, and there were scenes that absolutely worked and showed flashes of something really gripping. When the tension hit, it hit.

That said, the pacing felt inconsistent. Some parts dragged while others rushed past moments that could have used more depth or emotional buildup. I also struggled to fully connect with the characters; their motivations sometimes felt unclear, which made it harder to stay invested in their dynamic.

If you love dark romance with obsessive themes and don’t mind a slower burn mixed with abrupt turns, this could still be your vibe. For me, it was an okay read with potential!

Would still check out more from the author, just hoping for tighter pacing and deeper character work next time!

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I ate this book up. Dante and Luna are the perfect match. Deep down, all Dante wants is to satisfy his darker desires, and all Luna wants to do is be free. Free to live, laugh, love, and have bomb sex.

Dante is the sweetest guy to Luna. He’s practically the perfect boyfriend, and that might or might not have something to do with some stalking!👀 Regardless, he treats her like a queen, and I don’t blame Luna for falling for a walking wet dream!💀

Luna’s character development is arguably some of the best I’ve encountered. We witness her reclaim her life, embrace her identity as a writer, and fall in love with her MMC personified!

If you’re craving a story filled with stalking, playful banter, a golden retriever boyfriend who’s also a professional unaliver, and watch Luna blossom into the woman she’s always been destined to be, this is the perfect read!

I’m reviewing this book as an ARC and voluntarily leaving a review.

Wow!! C.A. Burkhart you out did yourself!! Ink and Obsession was my first book by you and I ate it up! I cannot wait to read more of your work. This book had so much detail in it and painted the perfect picture of what was going on in the scenes. I felt like I was in the story with the characters.

Luna and Dante the main characters were perfect for each other. I enjoyed the fact that Luna was an author on Booktok and Dante was on Masktok. I honestly feel like if you enjoyed Haunting and Hunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton you would enjoy this book. There is a cat and mouse scene that was just delicious. The fact that Dante would do anything and everything for Luna to make here happy and keep her safe made him the perfect man. I also loved how the fact that my daughter’s name was included in the story and just made me want to keep reading. I will be patently waiting for book 2 and to see where Luna and Dante’s story goes from here.

I loved everything about this, the banter was amazing, the slow burn wasn’t too slow either just enough to keep you guessing. I felt the emotions and betrayal, this had me hooked.

Thank you to C.A. Burkhart for the ARC opportunity.

The premise of this book was too good not to immediately move it to the top of my TBR. A dark romance author being stalked by a masktok guy? Who wouldn't be down for that kind of fun?

Can we just discuss how freaking amazing of a bestie Liv is to Luna? Liv reminds me so much of my bestie always boosting my confidence, lifting me up when I'm feeling down, and always encouraging me to do my best even when I'm positive I can't.

Is it hot in here or what? 🥵 the chemistry between Dante and Luna is scorching right from the get go. It leaves you yearning for more.

This is the kind of book that you want to stay up all night reading because you literally can't stop thinking about it. And I definitely stayed up way too late a couple nights in a row to read it.

I loved Luna so dang much, her strength to keep pushing forward after having been dealt some awful traumas was really inspiring. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next!

Ink and Obsession was one of the fastest ARCs I’ve ever smashed the signup button for—because if there’s one thing I can’t resist, it’s a good dark romance. And let me tell you, C. A. Burkhart absolutely delivered. This book perfectly balances softness and chaos: a lovable cat, a badass author FMC who builds herself from the ground up and embodies pure, unfiltered female rage, and a golden-retriever-coded psycho who’s equal parts charming and terrifying.

I genuinely blinked and suddenly I was halfway through the book—it was that hard to put down. The plot kept me hooked from start to finish, the spice hit exactly where it needed to, and now I’m low-key wondering where I can order my own Wolfe. If you love dark romance with depth, danger, and a satisfying HEA, consider this your sign. I couldn’t recommend it more. 🖤📚

I really enjoyed the heroine centered theme of this story. Luna is a strong, resilient FMC, an abused woman who escapes, survives, and ultimately saves herself without needing a man to do it for her, which I absolutely loved.
I did feel that Luna forgave Dante a little too quickly. The shift from deep heartbreak to reconnecting felt quite abrupt, and I would have loved a bit more space in between for development.
The multi-POV narrative was a good choice, though some moments felt repetitive with overlapping scenes being revisited. I think the story could have maintained the strength and intention of multiple perspectives with slightly less repetition.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read with a compelling heroine and a lot of promise, I look forward to seeing Luna and Dante developing their murdering relationship more.
