All’s fair in love and Warner.
They say all is fair in love and war. Clearly, they haven’t met Warner Landers.

The ruthless billionaire had me begging him to spare my family’s restaurant from a buyout. In response, he shamelessly flirted and walked away wearing a smug smirk.

Karma strikes, literally, when he crosses the street.

Unconscious, he’s rushed to the hospital, and for some unknown reason, I’m swept in right after him as if I know this man—or worse, that I’m married to him.

Am I in too much shock to deny the allegation? Yes.

Am I still using his short-term amnesia to my advantage? Absolutely.

Playing the doting wife to a grumpy CEO won’t be easy, but I’m determined to save my family’s livelihood. I just didn’t expect him to be a changed man after the accident. Far graver (for me), the iciness between us begins to thaw, and our fake marriage starts to feel real, making it easy to forget my mission.

When his memory begins to return, so does the truth. We’re at war, and falling for the enemy wasn’t part of the plan.

Thank you @SLScott and @hambright for a ebook of Love and Warner

Love and Warner by S.L. Scott
Out Now!!
4.5 ⭐️

This was the perfect book to kick off the new year. I was immediately drawn in because it features so many of my favorite tropes, and each one was done so well. The story was fun, engaging, and had the perfect balance of heart and spice. I absolutely loved the FMC, and the MMC totally delivered on the grumpy billionaire CEO vibes in the best way. Their chemistry made the book such an easy, bingeable read that I didn’t want to put down. Plus, it’s available on audio, narrated by Aiden Snow and Callie Dalton, which makes it even better if you love listening to your romance reads.

🗽Enemies to lovers

This follows a woman trying to save her family’s restaurant from a ruthless billionaire named Warner. After he refuses to help, he gets into an accident and wakes up with amnesia, and everyone thinks she’s his wife. She goes along with the lie to protect her family, but as she spends more time with this softer, changed version of Warner, real feelings start to grow. The only problem? His memory won’t stay gone forever… and when it returns, so does the truth.

3 ⭐️.

The writing is good. The storyline is entertaining. The main characters are okayish. The situation between them was light and funny. The perfect reading for christmas holidays, I must say. Sadly, in many scenes, I got bored. Maybe because I was having bad times in my work and maybe that made me to not enjoy the book as I wished I could do it.

I absolutely love S.L. Scott’s LOVE and WARner! She has brought to life characters that are opposite yet perfect for each other. I had to read this one slowly to savor it and make it last!

Delaney Bayetti is a woman on a mission. Her family’s business is about to be closed by a proposed sellout to Landers Ventures. To plead her case, Delaney goes directly to Warner Landers office. She is told he is unavailable. On the way out the door, Warner spots her. He gives her a brief moment to state her cause while heading across the street to a bar. He laughs her off and she feels completely put out. As he is crossing the street, he is victim of a hit and run accident. She sees he has no one helping him and leaves with him via ambulance to go to the hospital. This is where the story gets interesting. She decides to pretend to be the wife his “amnesia” has him forgetting. Will this change her luck for the better? Will her family’s restaurant be safe? Will her heart be safe?

I don’t want to include any spoilers, but this book is a great read that you should pick up immediately! Scott has created a story that you’re going to want to continue, even after you’ve turned the last page!

Happy Reading,
Crystal E.

This is a charming, feel good romance that leans comfortably into its tropes and makes for a very easy audiobook to settle into. It is the kind of story that flows smoothly and is simple to enjoy.

I am a huge fan of the enemies to lovers trope, and the fake marriage element was woven in really well here. Warner begins firmly in grumpy billionaire territory, but the amnesia element introduces a softer, more tender shift. Watching him change and seeing their relationship develop through quieter, more intimate moments was lovely. The slow burn felt intentional and steady, allowing the connection to grow naturally and not feel like instalove.

Callie Dalton and Aiden Snow’s narration really elevated the listening experience. Both bring warmth and personality to their performances, making the characters feel real and emotionally accessible.
This story works especially well in audio format. The pacing is on point, it never feels overwhelming, and it is a great choice when you are in the mood for something satisfying without heavy angst.

If you enjoy classic romantic comedy vibes, this one fits right in. It carries the same heart and comfort found in stories like Pretty Woman or While You Were Sleeping, where circumstance brings two people together and feelings quietly sneak up on them. I know I just aged myself, but even without those references, the overall tone is soft, romantic, and comforting.

Love and Warner is a fun, spicy, trope driven romance that is easy to recommend for readers looking for a low stress, feel good listen.

Make sure to add this one to your TBR and snag it on December 29th when it becomes available.

Thank you Hambright_PR for the advanced listening copy ♡♡♡

Love and Warner is about a powerful, emotionally closed-off billionaire CEO and a woman who enters his life at the worst possible moment and ends up changing everything. One accident, one misunderstanding, and one fake marriage turn into something deeply emotional and unexpectedly real. This story is not just about romance, it is about growth, guilt, healing, and learning how to love when you have spent your whole life building walls.
This book completely swept me away. Warner is hands down one of the best grumpy billionaire heroes I have read. He starts off cold, arrogant, and emotionally unavailable, but the way his layers slowly peel off is written so beautifully. His pain, his loneliness, and his inner conflict felt so real that I could feel it in my chest.
Delaney is such a refreshing female lead. She is soft but not weak, emotional but not annoying, and strong without being loud. Her guilt, her love, and her fear were written in such a natural way that I connected with her instantly. Together, Warner and Delaney have insane chemistry. Every interaction, every quiet moment, and every emotional scene felt meaningful.
The fake marriage trope was executed perfectly. It did not feel forced or unrealistic. The slow burn was delicious, and the emotional payoff was absolutely worth it. The redemption arc of Warner was my favorite part. He does not change overnight. He learns, he falls, he reflects, and he grows. That made his character development so powerful and satisfying.
Thank you so much hambrightpr for the free ARC!

I think two words that best describe this book are “unique and quirky” and I pretty much loved every moment! I say “pretty much” because But here’s the thing, all the shenanigans that kinda made me roll my eyes are what made this romance work, which is why it’s quirky! It’s unique because of the “amnesia but not really but maybe kinda sorta” aspect that surrounds their entire romance! Honestly, there were many a moments where I thought “surely he’s figured it out by now? #sideeye lol but alas, he hadn’t? Possibly. Maybe. I DO NOT KNOW! And I mean that set this entire story apart and all those “moments” are what kept me listening/reading! I’ve never wanted to simultaneously give a story 5+ stars and 3+ stars, and if I try and explain my ridiculousness, I’d have to literally tell you every single moment of the book. 👏👏 Well played, S.L. Scott, well played! 👏👏

🎧The dual narration performance by 🎤Callie Dalton and 🎤Aiden Snow was perfect! I’ve listened to countless audiobooks by both Callie and Aiden in the past but I’m not sure I’ve had the pleasure of listening to them as a team before and they really worked well together. Their style and voice ranges were complementary to each other which many times isn’t the case with a narrator that has such a rich voice as Aiden. Well done to them both!

One last thought … even though I’m pretty sure I’m coming across as if I so-so liked this story, that really isn’t the case. I liked it a lot and I think the reason I liked it so much is it felt authentic as much as it felt unreal. See, there it is again, LOL, the whole simultaneous “yay” and “hmmmmm” thing. It works in this case! Okay, that’s all I have for you guys! Go forth and enjoy another humorous and heartfelt romance story by S.L. Scott!

Narrators of this great audiobook are Aiden Snow & Callie Dalton . I was very impressed with the way they interpreted and expressed these characters. The ebook was so good too. Warner is a ruthless billionaire who is a selfish person and refuses to help Delaney when she begs. Then a sudden accident leaves him with amnesia and she is mistakingly thought of as his partner. Delaney takes this as a blessing and uses the opportunity to help save her family restaurant. But will this fake relationship turn to real feelings? This was a really good story and it was fun to see Warner's character actually become a better person after his accident. This is an audiobook or ebook you should check out.

Really enjoyed listening to this! It was two of my favorite narrators on top of it (Aiden Snow and Callie Dalton). The story reminded me a lot of the movie “While you were sleeping” which is one of my favorite movies so i’m not mad about that. The ending was a bit cheesy but overall I loved the premise of it and the author did a great job navigating a storyline about amnesia which i’ve noticed a lot of authors always have plot holes regarding.

What a way to kick off my 2026 reading journey!🥹😍 I absolutely LOVED this book I immersive read this for an ARC and ALC. The narrators were fantastic! I am a big Aiden Snow fan who narrates Warner. I had never heard any of Callie Dalton's narration before. I enjoyed both narrators they really brought the story to life and made me relate and feel with the characters. The banter was fantastic.😍 The character growth from both characters was incredible. I truly enjoyed this book SO much. We have our MMC Warner Landers age 34 who is a big ruthless billionaire CEO of his family company. Warner is a control freak and likes things a certain way and he also has no problem upsetting people for a good business deal. Our FMC Delaney age 24 she is a bright sunshiny girl who loves her family so much. When Warner's company is set to buy the building her family lives in and has operated their family restaurant out of for years she goes to beg him to reconsider. He is hit by a car with Delaney nearby witnessing it all. He ends up losing his memory and she comes up with a plan to make him believe they're married but the lies and half truths keep piling up. They both start falling for each other of course. Will Warner be able to handle the truth and can they have a healthy relationship if it was based on lies?...

First of all thank you to Hambright Pr and S.L Scott for sending an ARC of the book ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I am seriously obsessed with Delaney and Warner, their chemistry from the beginning is so sweet and loving (even though he didn’t remember her) after an accident that happened. From the first chapter to the end of the book I could not stop laughing and kicking my feet around of how much fun I was having reading how Warner figured her out but kept going and Delaney secretly stealing his phone to make sure her secret of them being “married” was safe 😅😅 im happy that they got their happy ending after all.

What would you do to save your family’s legacy? For Delaney, the answer is simple: Whatever it takes… even if it means claiming to be the wife of the man who’s trying to destroy her.

When Delaney confronts billionaire shark Warner Landers to stop his corporate takeover of her family’s restaurant, she expects a fight. Instead, she gets a front-row seat to a freak accident that leaves Warner with a concussion and a massive gap in his memory. In a moment of sheer panic and desperation, Delaney lets the hospital staff believe she’s his wife. Suddenly, the man who was her greatest enemy is waking up in a penthouse, convinced she’s the love of his life.

This book is a delicious, high-stakes spin on the fake marriage and amnesia tropes. Watching a ruthless, icy MMC like Warner transform into a softer, more attentive version of himself while "playing house" was so entertaining. The tension is palpable. Can this lie turn into love?

While Delaney’s choices are morally gray, her heart is always in the right place. It’s hard not to want to root for her and an HEA between these two. The pacing is effortless, the chemistry is a slow-burning simmer, and the emotional transformation of a corporate shark into a man worth loving kept me glued to the pages.

If you love enemies-to-lovers stories where the stakes are high and the lines between truth and deception are beautifully blurred, pick up this book! It’s a messy, complicated, and ultimately satisfying romance that proves sometimes you have to lose your memory to find your heart.

Thank you @s.l.scott and @hambright_pr for the ARC in return for an honest review. Love and Warner was such a fun read. What started out as a quest to save Delaneys family business from a ruthless billionaire who wants to sell their building out from under them. To conning Warner (the billionaire) into believing that she is his wife after he gets hit by a car and has amnesia. He starts to figure out things are not as they seem and there are a lot of holes in her story. But he can’t seem to get enough of her. What she doesn’t expect is to fall hard for him. I loved the banter between Delaney and Warner and the emotional tension building between them. This was such a great enemies to lovers romance!

this book… i really wish i had better things to say. i can’t lie, i quite literally only finished this book to see where the hell this story was going, though i wanted to give up several times.

when i read the synopsis, i thought, this sounds interesting. in the end, the “amnesia” storyline is not as big as i thought it was. i know these books aren’t supposed to be realistic, but the whole point of this book is how delaney is manipulating warner, they fall in love (somehow, i don’t see it at all) and he just.. forgives her?

all in all, i think im just not the target audience for this book.

Opposites attract

I was given the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book, which I am grateful to be a part of. So here’s my honest review.

I overall enjoyed this book, and my interest in finishing the story was definitely kept. There was a lot of potential here, which made some of the choices later on feel even more frustrating.

It wasn’t a bad start, but then came the gaslighting, and from there the story quickly turned into a game of emotional chicken. So much happened within just a few days that it felt overwhelming and messy rather than tense in a good way.

The communication between the MCs was honestly terrible. She constantly evades the truth, talks in circles, and avoids having a real conversation. He’s confused, angry, and desperate for answers, yet every time he tries to talk, she shuts him out. She’s upset that they can’t live in denial anymore and that their “love” apparently isn’t enough—but instead of explaining herself, she just keeps running. Why not communicate?

The idea that he needs to prove he deserves a second chance didn’t sit right with me. Their relationship was built on lies and gaslighting, yet she rarely takes responsibility for her role in any of it. There’s a lot of blame being thrown around without much self-reflection.

Some of the logic also felt off. Why would a billionaire take the New York train? And why would an elementary school teacher wear a necklace with 30–50 diamonds to work? A few details stood out as unrealistic to me, but it’s no biggie.

At one point she says, “I was thrown out, for the record,” but… she was already packing and planning to leave, refusing to explain anything. Another line—“I was packing because I knew I would never survive hearing you tell me to get out”—felt like a clear case of self-sabotage. Of all the moments to walk away, she chooses the one where the truth finally comes out.

And when she tells him, “You had every opportunity to do the right thing, and you blew it,” I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. He had no idea what was really going on and was left to piece everything together on his own—he’s not a mind reader.

Despite the frustrating dynamics and a few cringey moments, I still found the book enjoyable overall. I just wish it had leaned more into its potential with stronger communication, accountability, and follow-through.

✨Love and WARner by S.L. Scott✨

First, thank you to @s.l.scott and @hambright_pr for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

💵 Warner Landers is power in a tailored suit, a ruthless billionaire businessman who doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t soften, and certainly doesn’t let anyone stand in the way of what he wants. He’s the kind of man who signs deals that change lives… and ends them just as easily.

💥 And then there’s Delaney, fighting for what matters most. Her family’s restaurant teeters on the edge of collapse, shadowed by an inevitable buyout. The countdown has begun, and the storm is coming whether she’s ready to face it or not.

Warner has the power to stop it all. To pause the destruction. To save what Delaney’s family has built.

But he won’t.

Until fate intervenes.

❤️‍🩹 When Warner meets his own unexpected downfall, Delaney is the one there to catch him, and she’s not empty-handed. She has a plan. One that might just save everything her family holds dear… even if it means tying herself to the very man threatening to destroy it.

💛 Love and WARner is a fun, addictive read packed with sharp comments, tension, and heart. Delaney’s spunk is impossible not to love, and Warner’s gruff exterior paired with his surprising moments of reflection made me love his character. The audiobook, narrated by Aiden Snow and Callie Dalton, was excellent and brought these characters to life beautifully.

✨ Tropes you’ll find inside:

✨Enemies to lovers

✨Forced proximity

✨Grumpy/Sunshine

✨Fake marriage

If any (or all) of these tropes speak to you, this book is absolutely worth picking up.

📖 Love and WARner is out now!

Thank you to Hambright PR and the author @s.l.scott for the advanced copy of Love and Warner.

This story was so entertaining and interesting, it caught my attention from the beginning. Plot was a yes for me. This book definitely took me out of my reading slump. The way S.L. Scott brought to life opposite attracts in this story is amazing. Delaney and Warner couldn’t be more different. Delaney is more approachable , close to her family and chaotic while Warner is everything has to have an order, doesn’t have to worry about money, grumpy and is not very close to his family. The way my emotions were invested in these two was no joke. Delaney and Warner’s relationship was so much more than the fake marriage. Their evolution was incredible in so many areas. I definitely recommend this incredible, juicy, slow burn plot.

Age gap enemies to more for the story of Delaney and Warner. Warner is a wealthy CEO who's all work and no play, to him, business is business and there are no emotions to be had there. Delaney and her little family's restaurant is just another pawn in Warner's world, but she tries to meet the brooding CEO to appeal to his emotional side to save their restaurant. A random turn of events has Delaney literally living in a world of lies that she can't seem to get herself out of and her hole just gets deeper and deeper. I was expecting a little more angst when it all imploded because boy, that was one epic lie and although no one came out unscathed and pretty raw - there was a HEA to be had.

I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own

I love a good meet-cute and when Delaney and Warner’s paths first cross it’s, well it’s anything but cute! They clash immediately - he is ruthless and grumpy to the extreme and she is just trying to save her family’s restaurant.

One accident later she is his fake wife and he doesn’t exactly remember what happened. She finds herself with a nicer version of Warner. Throughout the story they have great chemistry and banter. I especially love how as his memory starts to return he doesn’t immediately call her out. Yes everything is based on a minor matrimonial misunderstanding, but it’s fun to see their feelings grow.

There are some great side characters in this story too and shout out to his mom!

Love and Warner is a standalone romance by this author that will keep you entertained until the last page.

Delaney is dedicated to save her family’s business. What a better way to save it than to confront the one man who dares buy it out? What could possibly happen? One thing led to another, he’s got amnesia and now thinks they’re married. How long will this charade go on before he finds out the truth?

This storyline was so fun, I enjoyed how it played out. I love any book with fake dating/marriage, add a little amnesia to it and it honestly adds a cherry on top. What a great way to start off the year with Love and Warner!

It feels like I need to at least comment on the not-so-stellar reviews. When you have a story that starts with enemies, veers into temporary amnesia and a fake wife, then eventually becomes real, wouldn’t you expect some misdirection and dishonesty in the midst of falling into forever?

For me, this was a fun read. I loved the While-You-Were-Sleeping premise and really enjoyed Warner and Delaney together. Her boisterous Italian family is awesome and exactly what Warner is missing in his lonely, billionaire lifestyle.

Sure, things could have been handled things more maturely, but then we wouldn’t have the entertaining banter and engaging drama that makes this such a compelling read. In a world that takes itself too seriously, this light-hearted, fun read is a fantastic escape.

The fake relationship trope is one of my favorites, and this was a really fun take on that. I enjoyed their banter and the family dynamics. I loved seeing Warner go from the grumpy CEO to a more laidback and caring man after meeting Delaney. I feel like the lies got a little out of control for my liking and took me out of the story a little, but overall I still enjoyed it. This was my first time reading anything by this author and I can’t wait to read more 😊

What a funny, full of feisty back and forth arguments, and difference of opinion. These two are definitely at odds, but then the worst happens. Then Delaney sees it as an opportunity, not quite sure what will become of it, and who will be hurt more in the end. Absolutely beautiful story .

Audio review 🎧

Callie Dalton and Aiden Snow narrate this book with skill, great expression, and fluency. They both bring out the characters and enhance the story with their confident narration. I enjoyed the banter, the grumpy/grumpy contrast, the slow burn build up as they get to know each other. I did find the central concept of partial amnesia a bit too drawn out and unbelievable though fun. There are too many ways that Delaney gives herself away and Earner has the means to really find out what is going on. That said, this has been fun and I enjoyed the shenanigans 💖💖💖💖

I don’t understand how this book has so many good reviews.
The FMC is the worst.
Right from the beginning she supposedly goes to “beg” for help but treats the guy like s**t. She’s condescending, she lies and manipulates under the pretense of being a “victim”. Bitch, please! The level of entitlement!! Horrid character. She’s delusional thinking she has the right to do any of the crap she pulled just because her family might lose the restaurant. Absolutely HATE her. Warner deserves so much better.
