T’was the night before Christmas . . . in Chestnut Springs! Check in with the Eaton family to see holiday pranks, new friendships formed, and maybe even a new baby born. Five chapters as told by five of your most beloved heroes.
Elsie Silver is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of sassy, steamy, small town romance. She’s a born and raised Canadian girl who loves a good book boyfriend and the strong heroines who bring them to their knees. Her books promise banter, tension, and a slow burn that comes to a screeching halt.
Usually I end up pissed off with bonus short content after a series, but this actually worked really well for me and here’s why:
It was formatted in a way so that each character was from a perspective of each mmc from the OG series. It wasn’t a collection of short stories, but 1 story that was incorporated with different perspectives. When I think of the Chestnut Springs series, I actually think of each book as their own separate unit and not something that is intertwined together by loving family dynamics. This novella reminded me of that fact and I was reminded how much I need to re read this series.
Another reason I loved this was how lighthearted it was. I went into it excited to see what it was about, and I left feeling satisfied with what I’d read.
Overall, a good experience, I probably should have waited until Christmas time but ehhhh, November is close enough.

Y’all!!! We’re so back, I love this series with all my heart and I couldn’t be more excited to be back. 🫶🏻
Okay this was super cute!! It was honestly the perfect length for a quick holiday reunion of these hot cowboys and their hot hockey-player BFF (and their wives).
It was fun to revisit these characters and there was even a little bit of residual healing done for Theo.
Spice Level: 1-2 quick scenes, not as hot and heavy as the full books, but spicy enough to warm you up on a cold night
You can find this short ebook on Elsie Silver's website.
This is exactly what I wanted. Short and sweet look back at such amazing characters from a book series I definitely missed. Santa surprises to a baby being born to everyone together happy and enjoying Christmas together.
This book was exactly the kind of holiday novella escape I was hoping for. It’s warm, sweet, and full of that small town charm Elsie does so well. The romance hit all the right beats…comforting, a little swoony, and just emotional enough to keep me hooked without feeling heavy.
I loved being back in this world. The characters felt familiar in the best way, and the chemistry had that effortless, slow-burn glow that just works for a Christmas romance. It gave me all the cozy winter feelings I wanted…a little surprise, snow, family chaos, and a love story that leaves you smiling.
It was the exact comfort read I needed, short and sweet…I’d happily revisit it again during the holidays. ☺️
I miss this family!! This was quick, short cute read! It was nice to see all these characters coming back together again. Harvey, can I just sit down with this man and have a cup of coffee!? He cracks me up. Can we talk about my man THEO! Winter, girl you're lucky he puts up with your snarkiness. He is a saint! I love him!
3.75 ⭐️ i missed the chestnut springs family so much!! this was a cute and quick holiday novella and i loved reading about each mmc’s pov, it made me miss them more ❤️

Always a pleasure to be back in Chestnut Springs and more importantly with Cade 😏. Two pages into his chapter and I was giggling and kicking my feet as usual.
