Breathless! (also titled Her Bedroom Surrender) is the first book by Irish author, Trish Wylie in the Nights Of Passion series. Plot summary: gorgeous guy with gammy leg working in gym chats up curvy chick with image problems. Rory Flanaghan is a security consultant on injury leave from a job in the Middle East; best-selling author of fad diet books, Cara Sheehan needs to tone up for a wedding at which she will have to partner her ex-boyfriend in the bridal party; Rory becomes her one-to-one trainer. There’s a powerful attraction between them, but Rory isn’t the stay-at-home type.
Wylie has her heroine (over-)analysing every thought, word and action, with the result that the novel moves incredibly slowly. Any flow in the dialogue is interrupted by this so the reader needs to look back through anything from a paragraph to a page to be reminded to what exactly the next statement relates. Most of the narrative is Cara’s; where Rory’s point of view is given, the flow is much better. And much of the action (30%+) takes place in the gym. After innumerable tease scenes, they eventually get it together on a strictly temporary basis: he has to go back to his dangerous job soon. But of course they fall in love….A sweet romance, but a bit too long and repetitive. 3.5★s

Once I began reading Her Bedroom Surrender, honestly I could not put it down because it not only was sweet, sensitive, sensual and sexy it immediately addressed many issues women feel and there was a lot to digest. However, the journey is well worth it, with the bantering between these two incredible characters Rory and Cara.
For decades some young women have dealt with issues concerning their personal appearance and popularity. Cara certainly did……she felt growing up that she never quite fit in with her family. Her sisters were bubbly and fun while she was more reserved. In school she had girlfriends but was not popular with the male population. Even though she had a “pretty face” and was a successful published author of “diet books”, she had self esteem and self confidence issues.
Cara has a friend getting married and to make matters worse, she is the maid of honour and her ex is the best man. The dresses are form fitting and Cara knows that she is the only one who will be talked about due to her “curves”. She’s tired of everyone making excuses for who she is, always mentioning as an excuse about her “pretty face” and she wants to “knock their socks off” so she joins a gym and meets her personal trainer Rory who is to die for and drop dead gorgeous.
Rory, I can’t say enough about this exquisite man, brawn, sensitive, funny, sexy, an Irish rogue who always takes responsibility……for his family for the men he commands, amd for those he loves. You will absolutely fall in love with this Irish rogue who through determination and patience teaches Cara how to believe in herself and how to love. You will weep with the power of this very special love story.
Her Bedroom Surrender gives hope and meaning to anyone who reads this incredible story and will have the reader smiling and weeping at the same time. Thank you Trish Wylie for this “breathless” love story, one I will personally long remember.

This is another delicious read from Trish Wylie! From the very first page I was hooked. Cara is a feisty heroine and Rory a strong, gorgeous hero.
As the story progresses and the reader becomes aware of Cara's internal conflicts, the emotions run high. I felt Cara's pain and it's heartbreaking. Rory's anger when faced with Cara's past experiences is real and adds to his heroic qualities.
Aside from the emotional aspect, this is Trish Wylie at her hottest. It is wonderful to see Rory and Cara's relationship develop on an intimate level. Rory gives Cara new belief in herself, and he treats her with the respect she deserves.
By the end of this book you will have shared a journey that changes Rory and Cara forever. They are both believable characters, and it's sad when it's time to say goodbye to them. A truly emotional, sensual and fun read!

Es una comedia romántica, muy bueno, un libro que desde que empiezas te enamoras del humor negro de la protagonista.
Cara es una exitosa escritora de libros de dietas la cual se siente y se ve gorda, pero su humor y sarcasmo no la hacen ser inferior ni fea, pero quiere bajar unos kilos para poderse poner un vestido para el matrimonio de su hermana, claro es madrina en el.
lo que ella no contaba es que quien iba o se convierte en su instructor en el gimnasio es un hombre moreno, alto que pertenece a las fuerzas armadas y que a parte de todo esto es dueño de la mitad del gimnasio.
La tensión sexual se siente a cada rato, y en cada lugar del gimnasio donde tiene sesiones.
Pero a pesar de todo esto, las cosas que Cara le dice a Rory sacan carcajadas, se burlase el, de la vida, de todo a su alrededor pero de manera decente.
Hay una especie de romance entre ellos, y las miradas y como se tratan es demasiado bonito.

This book is just fantastic! Trish Wylie packs an emotional punch, blending intense emotions, sizzling attraction, intense character development, laugh out loud moments and heart-warming romance. Cara, the h is funny & adorable, the H Rory is to die for, he is a man of responsibility who takes care of his family & the one he loves, it s so easy to fall in love w/ him !! The banter between them is laugh out loud funny, especially with the setting in the gym, w/ cara hang ups about her body & rory working as her personal trainer - while recovering after getting injured in his dangerous real work - I liked that H finds h gorgeous & he helps her feel good about herself.
