****This book has undergone extensive changes since I read it in June 2015, so this review might no longer be relevant****

“By the way, my little wordologist… what’s a slouche?”
“That would be my latest word for a slut who dates a douche.”

This was an okay story, but I did get annoyed in places, and it had a massive cliff-hanger ending!

The characters in this came across as incredibly immature. They acted more like 12-year-olds than older teens, and gosh were they annoying! Some of their pranks

**** 5 Cranky Stars ****

Kaitlyn is a beautiful, smart, sarcastically funny, athletic, completely innocent and clueless to the danger she's in. She has the world at her fingertips and yet, like most of us at one point in our lives, finds herself being dragged down by her boyfriend Pistol Black.

Caden, her twin, Brody and Jenna are her best friends and stick together through thick and thin. There's nothing that can ruin the bonds they have and they'll do anything to protect each other.

We wrote this book for all those rural country teens who didn't have many books to relate to. If you grew up in the country, in a small town, or a rural setting, you will most likely relate to this story. We hope you experience the whole spectrum of emotions that we tried to write into it. At times we laughed out loud at some of the scenes, and other times, we wanted to punch our own characters in the face. There are light-hearted moments, tender moments, and intense ones too. We hope you enjoy ...more

This book was written with young readers in mind, even though all ages can enjoy the country romance theme. Get ready for some twists and turns. We will show our readers the dangers of keeping secrets from family and friends. We will toy with your emotions. Believe me, there's a powerful message for teen girls in abusive relationships. Hopefully girls who endure the same type of abuse will become resourceful after reading this story. ...more

Simply stated, When Fall Breaks will leave you begging for more. In their debut novel, JT Authors lure you in with relatable characters, hook you with the sweet love story of childhood best friends, and leave you dangling off a cliff in suspense as Kaitlyn and her friends endure trial and tragedy. When Fall Breaks is the type of story that stays with you long after the pages come to an end. FANTASTIC.

UPDATE: It has been nearly two weeks since I finished this book and each night as I lay in bed,

Wow! I didn’t see that coming! What a ride! I literally feel like I just stepped off of a roller coaster. What started out as a light-hearted and fun country teen romance, turned into an intriguing suspense novel that left me begging for more. The characters are down to earth, sassy, and lovable. If you grew up in a small town or near the country, you will definitely relate to the story of Kaitlyn Woodley and her close knit group of friends. Reading their story took me right back to my teen year ...more

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

When I saw the cover of this book, then the blurb, I KNEW I had to read this recent release by these new authors, known as JT Authors. My instincts were right on.

Although this book's genre is for teens and young adults, me being middle aged, I was immediately hooked! This is a story that I very highly recommend ALL read, regardless of age. Actually would be a superb high school reading assignment. What a page turner, absolutely loved every

This book is OUTSTANDING and I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Although it's genre is Teen and Young Adult, all could benefit from reading this.

These authors are on the tip of being added to my very limited list of pedestal authors!

Brilliantly written addressing real issues teens of today face.

Sometimes I just have to say a huge thank you for the invention of social media. Without it I am very sure that I wouldn't have been in contact with the amazing two authors who wrote this magnificent debut novel! I loved this book from the very start. The characters were so real and really reminded me of my school days. I thought the introduction to the characters at the beginning of the story really helped to set the scene and tone for the rest of the book!! I'm sure most of us girls can see bi ...more

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. It had me laughing, heart pounding and sad all the way through. I just could not put this book down. It does have a cliffhanger, which makes me want the 2nd book ASAP. This book is a Young Adult and it shows teenagers or some people in general what can happen in certain situations like alcohol, abuse and stalking.

It is about a young girl Kaitlyn, who is a strong girl until she meets the wrong guy. She has be

First, I’d like to start out by saying how excited I am these authors shared their story with me. I was given an advanced readers copy for an honest review. I don’t know where to begin. The story was well written, the characters had fun personalities, and the story was fast paced, leaving me wanting more. In fact, when I read the last chapter, I contacted these authors to find out when the next book would be released. This book was one of the best YA Romance/ Suspense books I have read in a long time, and I read a lot of YA books. I think what made this book stand out was the topic these authors decided to tackle. There is not enough books out there about teens in abusive relationships. I believe this book should be in every high school. I especially like the authors message in the back of the book. They provided hotlines for teens in dangerous relationships. The book was well written. It started out funny, b ...more

I am a huge fan of YA and this one did not disappoint. This story is based around Kaitlyn Woodley. She is a senior in High School. She has a twin brother, Caden, and they both have been best friends with Brody Tatum since they were little.

The story starts off with Kaitlyn in a relationship with a guy named Pistol. Let me just stop here and say that I could not stand him from the get go. I thought he was a jealous asshole and there was just someth

Kaitlyn Woodley is very beautiful and talented high school senior. She is headed for a career in swimming, her boyfriend is the handsome rodeo cowboy, Pistol Black. As well as being a great swimmer she is also studious, musically gifted, and embraces her small town country roots. Of course there is her overprotective twin brother, Caden, and her BGF (best guy friend) Brody that she has known most of her life.
Kaitlyn’s life starts to be turned upside down when Brody starts to flirt with her. Pis

This debut book by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice.....THIS BOOK! It is a great read with a lot of different elements. The characters are amazing. The book is mainly about Kaitlyn Woodley. However, her family and friends also play major roles in the story. The authors do a great job of really creating a bond between the characters and the reader. I felt like part of Kaitlyn's life as I was reading.

The story itself has some powerful messages for a young adult read. Messages that the authors feel

I love this book. In the first few chapters I was amused and giggled often. I can relate to all the characters having grown up in a very similar country setting. Soon my amusement turned to intrigue as the story of Kaitlyn unfolds. The authors really pull you in when your intrigue turns to compassion for Kaitlyn and her trials. Kaitlyn finally sees Brody in a new light and the romance that every teen girl dreams of comes true. The book takes a suspenseful turn and I found myself either sitting s ...more

I was honored to receive an ARC of When Fall Breaks. I loved the message in this book. It's one that every teenage/college age girl and boy should read. Tracy and Julie did a great job setting the stage and slowly letting the scenes unfold. The way they wrote Kaitlyn, the main female character, made her so relatable and likable. She is a young girl torn and confused by life at that age and the authors hit it spot on. There's sweet moments, swoony moments, mysterious moments, and heart stopping m ...more

A great story that is a must read for young adult females.
This is an emotionally charged, intense story of a teenage girl facing difficult struggles in High School. Her life takes a turn for the worst when she becomes the victim of bullying and domestic violence in her relationship with her boyfriend.
She makes a serious mistake when she dismisses the severity of the situation.

What a great book! Thanks for writing such an interesting book and giving me the privilege of the advance read. The
story made me remember what high school was really like. I think I went to school with some of the characters! The story is fun and suspenseful at the same time. At times I found myself laughing out loud and then feeling scared ten minutes later. The twists and turns left me on the edge of my seat, all the way through the cliffhanger ending. Can'the wait to read the next book!

4 Stars

When Fall Begins is a YA novel by Julie Solano and Tracey Justice, this is a debut novel by both authors and all and all they did a pretty good job. There were times I had to remind myself that this novel is a YA read and the actions and behavior of the characters are based on their ages. “There is something different about this. My heart is literally quivering. Then it dawns on me. This is what I felt the first time I saw Noah kissing Allie in The Notebook.”

I loved reading this book because it put me right in the world my teenage daughter lives in. It gave me a glimpse into a world that parents are usually blocked from. It gave me a clear reality look at high school relationships. How quick they can change and how words really work in a teenagers mind. This book starts off
