I know it's weird for an author to review their own book...but this isn't just a book to me.

This is everything I learned standing beside a broken-down RV with five kids, questioning whether I'd completely lost my mind. What's in these pages is what I discovered when external success felt hollow and I had to figure out why that was. The Path of Purpose, laid out in the book, is the framework that emerged when I stopped running someone else's program and started writing my own.

The book is about the unconscious programming that's been running your life without your permission. It's about the borrowed values you've been acting upon that were never actually yours. It's about why you can do everything "right" and still feel like something's missing.. And it's about what happens when you finally have the courage to deconstruct the script you've been handed and rebuild your story from your authentic foundation.

I'm giving it five stars because I poured everything I had into these pages. Every late night. Every breakthrough. Every moment of delicious clarity that came from doing the hard work of questioning everything during the darkest days. This isn't theory I picked up at a seminar. This is what actually worked when nothing else did.

If you've ever felt like you're living someone else's life, or if you're tired of fighting yourself for goals that don't actually matter to you, I wrote this for you.

I hope it helps you the way writing it helped me.

Most books in this space hand you conclusions. This one hands you questions and gets out of the way — which matters, because being handed answers instead of methods is exactly the problem most of us are trying to solve. Eli’s Venn breakdown of ikigai is the clearest version I’ve seen anywhere.

The checkpoints only pay if you actually do them. I worked through mine chapter by chapter and it surfaced things I’d been circling for years without naming. That’s not the book telling me something — that’s the book asking the right question and me finally answering it. Read it if you’re willing to do the writing.
