In Write: The Essential Mini Guide to Books and Storytelling by Christoffer Vuolo Junros, I have found my bible. It covers every aspect of novel writing from the initial idea to publication. In the initial writing phase, it makes practical suggestions without laying down an inflexible map. The author goes to great pains to point out that he does not attempt to stifle creativity. I wish this work had been available when I wrote my first novel. It would have saved me from having to figure out a lot of things. I am working on my second novel and will be using this as a guide. Thank you, Christoffer, for writing this book. It will provide essential guidance to me and many other aspiring writers.

I really liked the author's use of metaphors. I can't resist quoting it:

This book is an essential resource for writers/authors at any stage of their writing career. I loved it so much I have also bought the paperback so I can refer to it often.

What I really like about this book is at the end of each chapter there is a writing exercise that reinforces the theme of the chapter. A great resource to have in your writing toolkit.
