Oh my goodness! When I first read the blurb, I knew I had to read it RIGHT THAT INSTANT. I don't think I have ever quite felt so strongly about a book by an author I had not read before.

Good story that suffers from bloated narrative, repetition and over-writing. Might have rated it higher if it had been given a judicious edit to cut this excess. The author could benefit from exercising restraint in word economy. All the unnecessary extra words made the read a chore, so my rating is: it was okay.
