Exquisite Reviews

First and foremost let’s just say that I started reading this one thinking that it was a romance story. I read it the first time and told Karla WTF where is the romance and boy was I surprised with it.

Be aware this book is not for everyone; is so dark at times that you won’t want to keep reading, it happened to me. Yet, I don’t like to read about any kind of abuse to children this book brings it in a different perspective and perhaps is because I read it twice that I can appreciate it more even

This story is a sick and twisted tale of a horrible, manipulative freak of a monster who abuses children of various ages, regardless of gender. This power and dominance narcissist shows his evil and the author does a magnificent job conveying that. The story flip flops between one of the victim's therapy sessions and flashbacks of the events. I stay up all night reading this book, it was THAT gripping--and quite possibly the best book I have read this year. I was dumbfounded to think that no one ...more

I had a chance to Beta read this for Jennifer, and although it deals with a difficult subject- It was very well written, and takes you on a journey through the years of mental and physical abuse that Amy suffered at the hands of a family member, which can often be the case with predators that prey on young victims. I liked how sessions from the Dr. were included so we got a deeper aspect of the story and how it unfolded. There are some disturbing parts but they needed to be there to get the whol ...more

Wow - this book is deep, dark, and thought provoking. It is written as a patient telling her story to her Psychiatrist. Amy had a secret one that she kept for years and years. She is telling her story of abuse, mental, physical and sexual abuse at the hands of a relative. Her father is dead, and her mother doesn't or chooses to not believe her when she tells her why she doesn't want to go to family functions.

It is the story of how she survives, the people who help her, the people that don't hel

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Jennifer Reynolds.

Amy Roberts has been living with a secret for years and has been silenced by fear from telling anyone about it. Now she is struggling to do what is right for her and to see the man put in his place for what he has done.

The author wrote some good characters in this story. The flow of the story was a little rough in a couple places. This is not for everyone because of the emotional struggles and violence against the c

I have to admit, reading this was hard. That being said, I have to add that it's an amazing book. Graphic and disturbing in it's detail, it is very realistic. I found it impossible to put down, I was completely wrapped up and involved in Amy's story. Her struggle with coming to terms with what he had done to her and her mission to set things right was inspiring. As was her relationship with Shane, for them to go through so much together and still come out the other side, it's impressive.

Awesome Read! This story had me from the beginning to the end, very emotional read for me, In the note from the author it states that much of this book is true which made it more emotional. As a survivor this book hit home. This book is very well written and I recommend it to anyone who likes gripping emotional reads and likes to see the bad guy get what's coming to him.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. This is a very dark book dealing with difficult sexual situations. It helped that it was written in flashbacks to counseling sessions. That seemed to help me as a reader deal with the material. However, I felt that it was honestly written.
