Yes, I highly recommend this love story. The limited drama love stories are now my new best friends. Rue found her forever after a one and done evening. Jabar made a connection that kept on giving...
This was a cute and sweet instalove story with very little drama. The MMC was all about the FMC and vise versa. He was intentional with her and had no problem offering reassurance when necessary. Rue showed her age at times with her brattiness but Jabari seemed to like that about her. She sometimes jumped to conclusions instead of asking for clarity, but Jabari was there to clear things up and reassure her she was all he wanted.
This was a pleasing pallet cleanser and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. 3.75/5 stars
Rue and Jabari love story is so cute. I knew her new job was going to be his place of business. She got a job due to his cousin being on maternity leave with twins, and she ended up pregnant with twins from Jabari. This was a quick, cute read. Oh, and I love their sex lol.
This was a good quick read. After a recent breakup a chance meeting ends in a lifetime of love. Jabari was very intentional about his feelings for Rue.
Whew the title was not false advertising at all. This was intentional in every sense of the word. The attraction, the pursuit, the communication, the choosing. From jump Rue and Jabari weren’t stumbling into feelings, they were stepping into them with eyes open even when fear tried to slam the brakes. One night to experience something new!
Rue definitely had me sighing a few times because sis was leaping to conclusions like it was a competitive event. Once I sat with it, it made sense. She’s young, bruised and moving through love with unhealed wounds and loud insecurities. Past heartbreak will have you hearing threats where there are none and questioning safety even when it’s offered freely.
Jabari, though this man was solid, grounded and patient without being passive. He didn’t dodge her concerns or minimize her feelings, he met them head on with reassurance, clarity and consistency. That man understood that loving someone intentionally sometimes means standing firm while they work through their fears.
This was an insta love story, yes but it didn’t feel careless. It felt deliberate. Two people choosing to show up, communicate and stay present despite the messiness.

This author never ceases to amaze me. Every time I read her books I always wish the story went on a lot longer. And this book was no different. Let me start by saying Jabari and Rue's first encounter was one of my favorite parts of the book. It was sexy, bold, and absolutely delicious. But from the moment they locked eyes at their second encounter that man was all about Rue and vice versa.
The chemistry was undeniable the intimate scenes were sensual and unapologetically spicy. Jabari and Rue had their clashes like many couples do. But their love and their faith in each other were strong enough to carry them through. This book was such a wonderful read. It's most definitely a must-read. Mya ate and left no crumbs!
Intentionally in Love is a beautifully crafted romance that captures the intensity and excitement of love found when least expected. Mya’s storytelling is vivid and immersive, and Rue and Jabari’s chemistry leaps off the page. The characters feel authentic, their emotions, their vulnerabilities, and their desires are all portrayed with a depth that makes readers root for them from beginning to end.
The balance between passion and character growth is handled perfectly. Mya captures the thrill of insta-love while giving the story heart and substance. The dialogue is sharp, the pacing is engaging, and the romantic tension keeps you flipping pages eagerly. This is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a story where love is deliberate, intense, and utterly captivating.
Jabari and Rue met and had an explosive night of passion. They never thought that they would come in contact with one another again, but that changes when Rue starts working at his company. They couldn't keep their hands off of each other, and Jabari didn't care who knew it. All of the love scenes were 🔥🔥🔥, and I loved their vibe. Every time Jabari called Rue my peach, I just melted. Mya has written another great book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I'm hoping that we will hear more about this couple in the future.
I love me a good insta love story, but I have to say this one kinda fell short. I never care about the speed at which the couple moves, but I do like some depth in between. Rue was in love just off sex and through the continuation of the book it never really gives us any moments to see the love grow. I loved the first chapter though. All in all, I think it was a cute story just wish there was more to it.
This was a first by the author but considering it was a B Love Presents I knew I was in for a treat !! I absolutely loved every moment and let’s be honest, who doesn’t LOVE when things are intentional!? That’s literally what sold me ! The title and the B Love Presents!!! It was a great read and I highly recommend it 10/10
I really loved Jabari for Rue! They met in a very unconventional way, but we're instantly attracted! What was supposed to be a one night hook up turned into a love so strong! I must say I didn't like the ending though, it was too abrupt and just ended!
Okay so boom, I get it. Trauma from relationships and insecurities as well. However, girl. Come on. Even I saw the shade that old thang was throwing and the audacity was on 💯 for her to be all up on your man. I digress. A good story with a HEA and no cheating MMC and FMC.
A beautifully written instant love story! Rue and Jabari instantly clicked, but Rue definitely carried some stuff from past relationships. The friendships and family dynamics were well placed! I loved the ending, but would live to see more of Jabari and Rue!
When I first started the book I liked it but Rue got annoying real quick. She was extremely immature and ran at the first sign of tension. Jabarri had to run her down to talk to him like an adult. It got old and boring very fast.
I loved Intentionally in Love! Rue and her girls were funny as hell and had me cracking up. Jabari was the perfect mix of all the great qualities of a book bae!
It was a beautiful story. Sometimes you find love in different places. When you find your one, dont forget to go after what you want. The book was too short. I love the couple.
This was my first time reading a book by this author. She delivered a great read from start to finish. Jabari was such a stand up guy who loved his family unconditionally. Although Rue had trust issues they made a great team. Great job
Rue went to have fun with her friend and ended up meeting her future husband ! ! ! Jabari took one look and knew Rue was different from what he was used to ! ! !
I am going to start this by saying I know it’s a fiction book, but falling in love in 15 days is crazy work. Now that that’s out of the way, the story was cute. One night stand turn into workplace romance. I loved how MMC made FMC communicate and loved her into healing. Also no third act breakup.
A cute romance that also had some spice ! Character development, story line and supporting characters all made this a good time. I love when there are characters I can cheer for from the beginning.
Okay I initially was enjoying the books but it started to get illogical and I personally require that. For the record Fiction ≠ Illogical. If you include meme language and real world references I think real world considerations should be made. Cool? Cool. Okay Rue being 20 something with a degreeeee? Chile I don’t know is temping for a reason that isn’t stated. We find out she inherited medical debt, which is NOT a thing. Unless she co-signed or hyper specific circumstances that are never stated or inferred that happened just because your parent died with medical debt that doesn’t just get deferred to you ESPECIALLY considering her mother was married. Anywho I love kink as much as the next but introducing someone to kink without asking if they are okay with that, knocked a whole ass star off for that lol. There absolutely could have been a conversation about her wanting to lean into those desires and then blah blah blah. My peach was used an average 3.5 times per page. The insta love was okay I guess but even though the age gap wasn’t that large it absolutely was apparent. Also just a personal thing having FMCs that read is getting very heavy handed. And I almost forgot miss maam wanted to open up a staffing agency (which I love) and ended up wanting to stay employed by the MMC….for some reasonnnnn
