A close-up look at Mars provides detailed explanations of the planet's climate, atmosphere, surface, characteristics, and composition based on the various NASA mission, offering a provocative look at the controversy over the possibility of life on Mars, outlining requirements for a manned mission, and discussing future Mars expeditions.
This is a bit dry, but it's also an amazing compendium of knowledge about Mars. If the composition of the crust of Mars or debate about the formation of its polar icecaps is interesting to you, this book will be indispensable. I personally loved it, even if it took a while to get through.
