Colt Colt he’s our man !!
We all need a Colt in our life right now !! There was something about the way he didn’t overpower Lily and let her run the show that made me respect his gangsta. There are so many passionate moments shared between these two mostly initiated by our home girl Lily who at 18 knew that she was ready to learn !! She was smooth without being obvious, and even when she didn’t feel so confident she launched for her man. There will be moments where people who aren’t super crazy about taboo will get caught off guard but come into this with an open mind and heart and fall for these two.
I cannot recommend this book enough but it’s our girl JR so you know it’s freaking awesome!! Happy reading everyone 😊🥰!

Would have been better if the FMC didn’t constantly throw herself at the MMC. Even when he was being a complete asshole. And when he ended things she’s the one who ran and chased him. Like come on authors!! Do better with your female characters.
Also the step sibling thing was a stretch. Their parents are dating, possibly engaged and the two MCs didn’t meet until the first chapter. So the taboo aspect of the step siblings wasn’t even there. The only taboo thing was their age gap.
Also did this man have a job? He leaves the summer lake house and spends two weeks sleeping in his car eating canned beans…like bro you couldn’t go home? Do you even have a home? Idk it was weird for someone who supposedly a grown ass man.
Wasn’t a fan of the parents either.
Safe all the way, no others. Virgin FMC, age gap 18/28, pregnancy, HEA (married with a kid)

This is a short 10 chapter romance with an epilogue. The tension, angst and attraction between the two main characters were evident from the moment Lily locked eyes on her new, soon to be stepbrother, Colt, through the window of her mother's car.
At first Lily didn't know what these instant feelings were inside of her because the moment she got out of her mom's car, Colt acted as if he didn't even see her. Making her feel confused and stirring feelings inside of her that didn't make sense. How could she feel like this and he seems so unaffected.
Colt tried to fight this instant connection and just he felt the moment his eyes locked on hers. He had to stay away from her and not ruin his dad's new family by giving in to his lust and obsession to his new, soon to be stepsister.
He ignored her when she walked into the same room. He told her to stay away from him and his garage, the only place he feels is truly his, where he works on motorcycles. Lily is off-limits, and he needs to remember that.
Boy is it hard though for Colt when Lily basically throws herself at him every chance she gets. She knows he felt it too, she just needs him to confess it. She needs to know that she's not feeling all these things by herself.
Colt's dad, Jim, and Lily's mom, Katherine surprise them one day by telling them they are going on a cruise for 3 weeks, and they will be at the lake house alone. Jim tells Colt to watch out and protect Lily, when that's the last thing he needs to do.
Their parents can tell there is tension between the two of them. Colt has denied trying to get close to Lily and acts out with orders to keep her away from him. The parents think it's just because they need time to bond... if they only knew.
It didn't even take a week before the tension got so hot and heated that they eventually crashed together in lust and acting out. Colt can no longer stay away. His mind keeps wondering crazy possessive, and obsessive thoughts about Lily. Example: he can't stand thinking she may not be innocent like he thought. If another man has touched her he's going to go crazy of someone else being in what is his. And that was before he confessed how he felt.
The spice is hot and steamy. These two are explosive when they come together, and once they do, they can't stay away or off of each other. One the porch, in his truck or his bed. Lily is his and he's hers. They are together no matter what.
That is until their parents come home 2 weeks early. Things go off the handle and Colt thinks he's protecting her and doing the right thing by letting their parents throw him out. She deserves better than him, or so he likes to think. Only things don't go as planned, or maybe they do go as planned 😉 when she tracks him down 2 weeks later.
This book is a hot and steamy must-read if you love stepbrother romances. I'll definitely be checking out this authors other short stories!

This story really got me thinking about what happens because of their choices, but honestly, I don't see anything bad about their relationship, especially since they're not related by blood or raised together. I actually enjoyed the story and watching the main guy struggle with his thoughts. At first, I thought the girl was just messing around and trying to tempt him, and he was trying to act mature. He did give in eventually, but she turned out to be the better person. The most important thing is that they love each other a lot, and he turned out to be a caring, good dad.

I love love love forbidden stepbrother romance and Stepbrother's Obsession by Jenna Rose was not your usual story. Lily and Colt were both obsessed with each other but Lily is the one going after what she wants while Colt is trying to resist. Colt is older and he knows they should keep their distance. But when their parents leave on a last minute trip leaving them all alone, it becomes impossible to stay apart. Any Lily is not to give up until she gets her man. Great read.

Stepbrother romances are one of my many favorite tropes and this one is one of the best. It’s short but super steamy with a ten year age gap (love those too!) between an innocent eighteen year old girl and her new stepbrother-to-be when their parents leave them alone to go on a cruise.
Readers who like a lot of spice are sure to love this one but it’s not just about the spice, it’s also got a great storyline to go along with it—one I think you’ll love. 100% recommended. 4.5 stars.

Great book. Well written.
Step siblings are drawn to each other, and fight attraction while their parents are off on vacation.
There’s a 10 year age gap between them.
This was an interesting read. They fought their attraction, and tried to be mature about the situation, but love wins out.
I was surprised at the realistic reaction their parents had when they learned about the relationship.
They didn’t like it one bit.
Book really highlighted some angst and some pain.

This was exactly what I expect from a Jenna Rose novella, quick, over-the-top, and seriously hot. Colt is the kind of possessive, tatted-up alpha who sees what he wants and claims it, and I wasn’t mad about it. The age gap and forbidden vibes were strong, and the chemistry? Off the charts.
If you like fast-burn, no-drama reads where the guy is obsessed from the start and the ending is all HEA, this one checks every box. 💯.

Stepbrother's Obsession is a quick and sizzling story with a bit of an age gap. Lily and Colt are step-siblings who did not grow up together when their parents married. She is eighteen and he is twenty-eight, so a bit of a gap and even more so because of her actual age. But just go with and you will have an entertaining and steamy hot story to dig into for a fast read.

Didn't like the mmc
Here is another story of a fmc having to chase down a mmc. He lied n broke his promise to her. He was mean in the beginning n snapped at her n she jus took it. Hate females who don't stick up for themselves... Anyway, he just leaves her when it gets tough n doesn't fight for her . My opinion he only gets bk with her bc she was pregnant. The mmc was too wishy-washy for me. He was not man enough for fmc. N the fmc was 18 . N I didn't like the parents.

Not enough substance
This was too light on everything... story...spice...character development...background...scene building.... essentially everything. This was so lackluster and plain. For a longer novella these characters had no substance and I felt cheated in the end with the insta-love trope because there literally is no building connection on the initial "cupid's arrow" physical attraction... Just boring to me...

I have read multiple books by Jenna Rose. She definitely does not disappoint when it comes to spice. I love a good book that gives me multiple of my favorite tropes.

The story had a great premise and I was excited to get reading. However, I was exhausted with all of the pushing away Colt did to Lily. I understand having a little bit, but it was the majority of the book. Then when the parents got back, he didn't fight for their love and ran away. Man up dude!!! My heart broke for Lily. After a 2 week separation I thought there should have been more groveling, but oh well.
