I dove right into this novella immediately following Just One Night which I absolutely LOVED! Being in Roberts head ... *sigh* This was a perfect companion and just long enough, IMO. And boy that bombshell in the end ... (I did have an idea though and was THRILLED that my prayers were answered!!!) All I have to say is that I am so happy that Just One Lie is out now because I am DIVING RIGHT IN!

Wow.. This was my Friday night! A great spicy short. The mind of Robert Dade was a nice place to be, he is so masculine and assure of himself. Since it has been awhile since I read Just One Night Just One Night (Just One Night, #1) by Kyra Davis this novella brought back the flame and lust I had for Mr. Dade and his wicked was. But I wanted to see this mysterious billionaire, that Kasie had waiting in the wings. So Kyra this was a great lead into the next book. I was blown away by the plot twists.

I would say this could be read alone and a prequel to the new series. But I am diving right into the next book because I can't wait to meet the new players! I am keeping my fingers crossed for Kassie and Robert Dade.

Kyra.. this is for you (wink)

Ok, it's for me. But just picture a man bun and he looking out of that view in his house overlooking sunset wearing his worn jeans and open white shirt...it's Robert all day!!!

Just Once More by Kyra Davis is a 2015 Pocket publication.

This novella length story in the popular "Just one Night" series is told from Robert Dade's POV. After getting back together, Kasie and Robert are doing great until Kasie takes on a new client Robert does not approve and once more he attempts to exercise too much control over the situation.

I enjoyed the character development, especially Robert's, and for such a short story the author did a great job of balancing the sensual and erotic moments against the relationship building and the main plot. I would have liked the story to be a little more fleshed out overall, but this is a novella and so I made some concessions. You will never see the plot twist coming at the end, which will leave you begging for more.

This one gets 3.5 stars

After reading the first book which was fantastic, I was excited to read this short story however my excitement was short lived like the book itself. The characters had their intense relationship woe’s carried on from the first book where Kasie wanted to be free to make her own choices and do what she wanted but her domineering, entitled boyfriend Robert kept making decisions for Kaise without her knowledge once more, and continued to control Kasie’s life. It was kind of a useless storyline for them until the very ending of the book. I felt like it could of been an epilogue by shortening the story more for Krya Davis’s first book Just One Night or be the prologue to her third book Just One Lie. The publisher should consider making this change. It just makes more sense.

So the "Just One Night" series is the first contemporary romance/erotica series that I've ever read. I read began reading the first installment as thru novellas, and from the first page I was hooked, so when I got the opportunity to read "Just Once More", I was absolutely elated. First of all, Mr. Robert Dade is my very first book boyfriend, Before all of the other book boyfriends of the world, for me it was all about Mr. Dade. Kyra does not disappoint with "Just Once More". This book was everything. Well written, from the characters to intimate scenes You feel like you are in the book, a fly on the wall. While it's been a two years since the Just One Night was published, the characters do not falter from their original characteristics and personalities in the first book. If you've read the "Just One Night", all I have to say is PREPARED TO BE FLOORED. All in all, this is an amazing read, sexy and suspenseful..... It's KYRA DAVIS!!!!!

This was a good edition to the series. A little bit of drama, love, and lots of sexy times rounded out this novella! Told from Robert’s POV, it was nice to get some insight into him.

I find Robert fascinating, he’s so controlling but loving as well. I like how his attitude and demeanor play out in the story. I enjoyed getting to see a more vulnerable side of him. I really liked Kassie in this, she’s got such strong will, determination, and understanding.

Loved the tie in to Deceptive Innocence and Dangerous Alliance. Those were both great books so I was happy to get that connection.

Nice hot start, really decent story throughout and them bam! I didn't see that end part coming. Great lead in to book two! Besides the end, nothing major was learned. Good, short read. Up next, Just One Lie!

I love this series and this novella is simply the icing on the cake and something to tide us over until Just One Lie comes out on July 28th! Wow - what a fantastic quick read to get us back into the tumultuous and off the charts sexy relationship that is Robert Dade and Kasie Fitzgerald. I loved every second of it and am so excited now for the next installment. Just One Lie looks like it is going to be quite the shocking book, as you will see at the end of this one. My only question - what the hell happens now and where will it find Robert and Kasie?

That ending...now I cant wait to read what happens in the next book....I really hope they keep Robert and Kasie together...I really like their dynamic. I just want the next one to be about her sisters story with Robert and Kasie as supporting characters....but I think I will have no such luck....because the book also brought up another player...Travis...I wonder how he is going to fit into this.

This was a different sort of story for me, as it took place entirely in the hero’s POV. I prefer for there to be a bit of back and forth, but it was still an enjoyable short story with the billionaire trope we all seem to love.

Recommendation: I would suggest reading this book BEFORE you read Just One Lie. You'll understand why if you do *wink*

I LOVED that Just Once More was in Robert’s POV. We get to see the internal war that is waging. He is battling with trying to be a “better” man. A man that can compromise. A man that isn’t as ruthless as he used to be. This is clearly not an easy thing for him because he has learned to live his life with a certain amount of control, control of himself and control of others. (Bonus- we finally find out how old he is! LOL). “My name is Robert Dade. I am a self-made man.” –Robert. We get to see how he has grown and is STILL growing as a man in this relationship with Kasie. ,i>“This is my first experience with love.” –Robert. He is learning that love, especially with this woman, is more important than control.

I think he’s raelizing that he’s not really an earthly God after all. He has always aspired to make fear his “lover”. Once he conquered fear, he was unstoppable. But in the end, fear is inevitable…everyone has SOMETHING to fear. Now that Robert has Kasie, his biggest fear is losing her. You have to accept the fear of its loss…"the fear of losing Kasie is with me constantly. It’s the kind of fear that spurs a man to action.”–Robert. So in lies the internal battle…he fears loss now. Can he master that fear or will fear conquer him?

This was a perfect short novella to give us fans of this series more of Kasie and Robert and it was also the perfect set up for the next book, Just One Lie! Talk about a cliffy! I can’t wait to delve into Just One Lie…I want to know where this story is going to go!

It felt like forever since I fell for Robert and Kasie in Just One Night. So, this short story was a perfect little window into more of Robert and Kasie, as well as a perfect segway into Just One Lie. Without this little story I don't know if I would have liked Just One Lie as much. As this story starts the heart of the story for book two as well as intrigues us about the Gable's in the Pure Sin series. After this I will definitely being putting those books on my TBR.

In this little peak we get to the see the unflappable Robert Dade become a bit more human when his heart is on the line.

"The only thing I doubted was my own worth."

These two are a very powerful couple but are learning to become solid. Relationships take work but these two know what it takes. Communicate, Communicate and communicate. And we are left intrigued of the story behind Kasie's thought to be dead sister. Can't wait.

Another 5 Star from Kyra Davis

Another beautiful story about Kasie and Robert by Kyra Davis. This story continues where "Just One Night" finished. Robert and Kasie are learning to navigate this new relationship thing they are doing. Robert has learned he actually has a heart and wants Kasie to be in his life. He must learn they are partners and while he wants to protect her, she needs space to breathe.

Kasie has broken the "perfect daughter" mold her parents made her into. She has learned what she wants in life and what makes her happy. And Robert is in the center of that happiness. Kasie is strong, bold, straight-forward and making her own rules.

Robert is learning what it means to feel love, compassion and the desire to protect someone. He found his heart and wants Kasie to be in his life. He has lived most of his life doing what is best for him and him alone without regards for another person. Instead of making quick decisions to protect Kasie, he learns to stop and discuss with her before proceeding.

Their love is real. Their relationship is real. They face problems of a real couple. Robert doesn't live in a penthouse way up on top of the world where he looks down on others. He and Kasie fight and learn to get through their problems together. Kasie stands up for herself, he respects that. He truly wants her in his life. He learns that he loves her. He found his heart. The moon has a heart.

Kyra has written another story that I couldn't stop reading. I love the relationship between Robert and Kasie. It's real. It's beautiful. I hope to see more of them on the next book. I've come to really love these two. Thank you Kyra Davis!

I was given this book for my honest review.

I smile at the metaphor; it’s one she’s been using for some time now and it still appeals to me. Two separate entities that are always connected. I like to think I influence her tides of temperament, increase her power, while she connects me to everything that is real. Because as I once told her, what is the moon without the ocean? Robert

This is the 1st book that I have read by this author

Robert-sweet, dominating and hot

Kasie-pretty and smart

Robert and Kasie’s journey is one of that of love, unconditionally even if their hearts no it at first. This is a light and airy first book that will have you in awe. The sex is hot but at the same time has this romantic yet hotter than a burger on a grill feeling. The sizzle alone will have you wanting.

Keep this in mind. “You are my ocean. You are the only thing I can trust.”

To the author: Amazing read.

To the readers: This journey for Robert and Kasie has just begun so please stay in hotly intuned.

Happy Reading

There is no one in the world, or book world for that matter, quite like Robert Dade. Mr. Dade was quite the surprise for me as it was happenstance that I picked up the first book in the series. That happenstance gave me a series that I got lost in. Now , I'm a 'superfan' of Kyra's and I'm not afraid to show it. She is amazing.

This novella was the perfect thing to whet my appetite. I had missed Robert and Kasie and this has me dancing in my seat for the next installment. *checks calendar* How much longer do I have to wait for my ARC?

Ladies, if we have relatively the same tastes in books, READ THIS BOOK. Mr. Dade will ruin you for all other dominant alpha's out there. I kid you not.

He can be my moon, any day.

I wasn't sure how this one connected to Pure Sin series until the Gable name was dropped and then it was a very loose connection.

I did like Robert and Kasie, thought they had a good connection, but I did understand why Kasie got made at Robert's controlling ways. I thought that Kasie went about handling things in a good way. You had the blow out, then then calm down period where afterwards you could calmly talk over everything.

The last bit at the end intrigues me. I want to see how this will affect things.

A quick short story to refresh you from Just One Night and get us ready for Just One Lie. Easy to pick up an read in 30 minutes. Even though I liked getting more Mr. Dade and Kasie this felt more like an epilogue vs. a separate story, but it is a free story to bridge the two books together so I can't complain. Either way, getting more Robert is always a bonus!

Title: Just Once More
Author: Kyra Davis
Publisher/Year: PocketStar 6/22/15
Length: 42 Pages
Series: Just One Night #1.5

Overview

Picking up shortly after the events in the sizzling New York Times bestseller Just One Night—which the New York Journal of Books declared “gives Fifty Shades of Grey a run for its money”—this sexy e-short, told from the perspective of Robert Dade, delves further into his tumultuous love affair with Kasie Fitzgerald.

“If you won’t be ruthless for love, how valuable is that love?”

Robert Dade is a man who knows what he wants and never hesitates to go after it. Money, power, and—at long last—the woman he loves, Kasie Fitzgerald, are now his. But after so many years of living by his own rules will he really make the compromises necessary to keep Kasie by his side? And when a man even richer and more ruthless than he is takes an interest in Kasie, will Dade be able to protect her? Or will his controlling nature drive her toward the very danger he seeks to shield her from?

My Thoughts

I'll be honest - it took me a quick refresher to go back to where we left Robert and Kasie since it's been a while since i've been in this series, but i'm really pleased that it's picked up and that i'm back in the midst of it.

In this novella - we get to see what's gone on since decisions were made to be together and life has gone on. We know that it's hard on both of them since they are more alike than they want to admit, but what that does of course means that they will produce some intense chemistry - and i can't wait to see that happen.

Throughout this novella, they are at odds with one another - because Kasie needs to grow and wants Robert to trust her and that's not something that he can easily do. Of course we see folks try to get involved and i think that it's all for the best.

It's not until the last page when someone shows up that is completely unexpected that we get to see things heat up. That's what the next installment is going to be about - and i can't wait to jump right in

Let me started off with this. I don't really like Kasie in the beginning as she is really obedient with her parent's wishes. I mean, kids nowadays are really rebellious and she end keeping all up in a bottle. Which is really bad for her mind and health. Long story short, she could have end her unhealthy relationship with her boyfriend but she choose not to. That bf of hers blackmail and threaten her just because she slept with Robert. And because she is so afraid that her carrier and reputation will be in tater because of the scandal, she practically have to beg him and say she's wrong and a whore. WTF. No matter whose side is being wrong, no one deserve to be labelled as whore. I mean, come on. That bf is a jerk himself already. And in the end he admitted he cheated on her like after one year of dating her. The nerve of the guy to called her a whore when he is one. *face palm*. And her paraded her infront of her boss in his house over dinner in a sexual manner. What kind of anyone will still stay with him? What a creepy and pervert dude man.

Okay, enough about the bf (at the end of the story is ex-bf). Robert and Kacie. He is such an intense man but seemly enough to bring out the inner and suppressed Kacie that she has been hiding since she was young. And he can handle her as well. I do believe she is in good hand with him. The way she is around him is truly not the one she presented herself before knowing him. And she like that. I guess that when you truly know you can trust person much. And falling in love with him, I don't blame you girl, who wouldn't ? He helped her to become a better self. And that's all it takes for him to fall in love too. He see through her. =). Not many people can do that. I can only say Kacie is really lucky to meet with him. Imagine if she didn't. She would have suffer from the emotional and physical abused had she married the bf. I'm just glad she finally get her right mind back and leave him and this threats.

Just Once More by Kyra Davis is a short novella in her hugely popular Just One Night series. Toot’s Book Reviews previously reviewed the series and it can be found here (http://tootsbookreviews.blogspot.com/...) When I was asked to review this novella, I was so excited to revisit these wonderful characters and what a treat it was.
Just Once More is told from Robert’s POV. Life for the two lovers has been bliss for the most part but like any couple, they are feeling their way through their new life together and learning as they do. Everything can't always be roses and sunshine and Just Once More takes us into their first major fight since they broke up in Just One Night.
Kasie has landed her first big fish for her new company, Travis Gamble but Travis has a very shady background and is facing some serious PR issues. When she tells Robert of this new opportunity to land Travis as a client, Robert is less then happy. Being the alpha male he is, he tries to control the situation and when that doesn't work, he tries manipulation but Kasie being the alpha female she is, isn’t having any of it. As Robert faces loosing Kasie a second time and realizing that Travis is an even bigger threat then he thought, can the happy couple wade through the rough waters or will the water just dry up?
I loved this little “slice of life” novella and I thought it was a nice tie-in to Kyra’s other stories that are set in the same world. I always love seeing real life struggles that real couple go through. Sometimes a happily ever after isn't all sunshine and roses forever like how most stories end. Real relationships take work as the couple matures and this novella shows us that, all the while telling a nice story that leads up to another big event for the couple.
Loved this addition to the series

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★✰ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This a follow up novella to the book Just One Night. You should read that book previous as this book will make more sense.
We find Kasie and Robert happy and doing what they both love. Robert is trying to be the person that Kasie knows he can be but when Kasie is to meet a new client who Robert instantly sees as a danger to her. He reverts back to being the way he was before. He will do anything and everything to protect the woman he loves. Will this finally be the thing that Kasie cannot forgive? Will their relationship survive and will Kasie willingly put herself in danger over her bruised pride?
This book was fun to read and it made me smile. I do love these two characters so much and I am glad I am reading this series. This is a quick read and you won't want to put it down. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book as so much was left open at the end of this little teaser. LOL. Good job Kyra!!
This was such a great look into the ever so sexy Mr. Dade's head. This made him more appealing to me. It made me connect with him more and it made him more human to me. This little glimpse into his head helped to understand his characters so much more and to me helped me like both Kasie and Robert all the more.
I like that it showed a bit of a softer side of Mr. Dade, but still keeping his domineering traits in tact. I like that even though it showed a bit of his insecurities and handled them a bit poorly, he still was able to recognize them as well as Kasie. I like that their line of communication was bit more open and that they could talk through and work their problems out.
Now, the bomb dropped at the end was a bit of a jaw dropper, one that obviously most everyone knows is coming since book three is on the horizon. I am curious what this means for Kasie's life and how it will effect her. I am excited about what is to come.
Just Once More (Just One Night series) by Kyra Davis is a novella told by the perspective of Robert Dade. The story picks up a little bit after the end of Just One Night. Kasie and Robert still have a very sensual and sexual life. Kasie’s business is thriving and she is making a name for herself. She does have an opportunity to land a big client but once again Robert wants to intervene and do what he promised Kasie he would not do. He still struggles trying not to control her life and trying not to decimate anyone who he feels is a threat. This was one thing Kasie will not tolerate from Robert. They are still growing and trying to develop a strong relationship which he hopes will lead to marriage. I do have to say that I read this book after Just one Lie and I am glad I did. The last part of the book starts to reveal things that were shocking. I liked the glimpse back into Kasie and Roberts life and I give this story 4 stars
**3.5 stars**
Even though this was a short story, you still got to see Robert and Kasie’s relationship grow. Though there is the obvious physical attraction (and boy is it HOT) but there’s also the emotional level you see here. Both Robert and Kasie still had some underlying issues that need to be dealt with. It’s just unfortunate that they have to come close to ruining their relationship to see what those issues are. I really admire Kasie for being the strong woman she’s become and held her ground when Robert tried to come charging in.
If you’re looking for a quick read, this would be a book for you! It’s got those spicy moments, but it’s also got depth to its characters. Definitely worth checking out.
Ok so I might have mention how much I despised Robert and Kasie after reading the last book in this Series. I think it's okay to say I might be in love again. As soon as I heard Just Once was going to be released I wanted to read the continuation of their story(I just wasn't satisfied with how the book ended.) Give them a chance to redeem themselves. Robert was still possessive and controlling (talk about alpha) but I understand him a lot better now. Telling the story from his POV helped. He was insecure and really love Kasie. These two had trust issues that they needed to work out. All I can say is 42 pages of steamy hotness. When Mercy Raye showed up; Shocker! Had me saying, OMG! I'm so ready for Just One Lie. Kyre Davis I applaud you. Excellent build up.
