Heidi DuCane is a tough-as-nails publicist with a passion for success and her husband Tucker. While they’re polar opposites, what they do have ...more

After reading Taint, I couldn't wait to read about the badass friend of Justice's, Heidi DuCane. I wanted to know more about the man who could break through that tough exterior. Little did I know it would be two men...kind of.
Threesomes...are tricky things and I don't think I've ever read one that actually worked. Still, I was willing to give this one a chance especially after reading the blurb. However, as I was reading along, I just kept asking myself..."How in the hell is this ...more
People in the entertainment industry tremble at the sight of Heidi DuCane. She’s one of the best publicists around. Her desire for success is only rivaled by her love for her husband Tucker. But their marriage has become routine and stale and there’s very little Tucker won’t do to please her. ...more
Those that know me won't be surprised to learn that the reason I decided to read it was because there was a rock star involved. Yup, that's my weakness, I can't resist them. I found the writing to be excellent. It was very smooth and I fell into the story as if I was part of it. I was totally invested, biting my nails, holding my breath…waiting…worrying.
I confess that I loved Ransom from the get-go. I "dissolved into a ...more
“Maybe I should have told him what I wanted from the start. But then again, maybe not.”
This is one of those books that has me torn, on one hand I wanted to hate it but I couldn’t, I loved it…but that just goes to show the power of the story that SL Jennings weaves, love and hate, there is a fine line…gah!! Kudos to SL Jennings, she took this book to a place I didn’t see coming, an ending I never anticipated, but upon reflection an ending ...more
I'm fairly new to reading S.l. Jennings.
I've read all of her books within the past month or two (so they're fresh in my mind), and I can say with confidence, that this is HANDS DOWN, ...more
So have you ever read a book that left you feeling torn? Well in this particularly case, S.L. Jennings sure does deliver a book that will have you go crazy. Crazy in a good way that this book is so sinfully addicting and then crazy omg I'm afraid to know what will happen next. Tryst is not your conventional romance. This book challenges readers to step outside of the box and see an unconventional relationship begin to take form in a marriage that needs an extra spice to help liven things up. ...more
Heidi, the high-powered publicist we get a glimpse of in Taint, is front and center in this book. She is in a seemingly perfect marriage with a loving and devoted husband. But somehow, it's not enough for her. After trudging through her past, we see a horrible event (which is rushed in telling and in showing her recovery) that might have critically damaged a person. Heidi bounces back, hardened, sure, but still her ability to push ...more
Tryst was unlike any love triangle I have read before. It was unabashedly truthful and insightful, and made me love and hurt for each of the participants in turn.
Heidi DuCane is the publicist to the stars. Having first met her in Thrust as Justice Drake’s publicist and friend, she is still as razor tongued, still as no-nonsense. But now we get to see the personal side of her.
Heidi’s psychiatrist husband, Tucker, is the glue that ...more
It has been a long time since I have been this emotionally invested in a book. Only S.L. Jennings can bring you to your knees, having you pray that the heartache will end, while you simultaneously need it to keep going as much as the air you breath. It was a horrible, awful, wonderful bliss. The book hangover you have will be worse than that last ...more
That’s all I can think about after finishing the last chapter (that’s before reading the epilogue) and really, I am left utterly speechless and an emotional wrecked. I don’t know what to feel – anger, hate, love, deflated maybe? It’s all a mixed and my head is somewhere between I’m not even sure what.
Although after reading the epilogue, and considering my thoughts about epilogue itself, well it left me in a state of indecision. I’m not sure if I actually liked it or not, hence the
Writing this review while that ending is still fresh in my mind may not be the best idea. This is the second book in the Sexual Education series. We are in the life of Heidi Ducane. The almighty publicist of Justice from book one, Heidi is one tough lady! Then we meet her husband, Tucker.
He's a pretty but bland and predictable psychiatrist, she met while in college. I did not really care much for Tucker. Yes, he seemed devoted ...more
Once you do.. there's no turning back. Things can never be the same.
Nobody knows that better than the characters in this book!
I am not a cheater. I do not condone cheating and I don't always enjoy books that have cheating!
But somethings it works. Sometimes it makes sense.
Let me now say... HOLY HELL is this book hot!!
It's dirty, sexy and tantalizing, yet it's sad all at the same time.
I felt for all the characters, each in a different way.
Some love them, Some adore them. Some loathe them.
Sometimes they help. Sometimes they hinder. Sometimes they do both.
In Tryst, well you are just going to have to read to find out!
But trust when I say that you will not be disappointed in the least.
We see Heidi (from Taint), her husband and a very suave jaded Rocker. Heidi is still powerful in every sense except for this one Rocker. He literally gets under her skin (hint hint). You begin to see Heidi as someone you either could be or ...more
Okay so I finally finished this book after originally I wanted to dnf @63%. I had a hard time getting into the story and enjoying the characters.
This book was a little different then what I am used to. Usually with threesome books they all end up together so to my surprise this book didn't have that happen.
The storyline was really different and had a unique edge to it. Heidi is a publicist and married to Tucker who is a shrink. Heidi has Ransom on her I want to sleep with list so when she ...more
Now that that’s out of the way…Tryst. This book was perfect for me. SL Jennings took a scenario that may (or may not) have crept into a few couple’s fantasies. But it’s just that a fantasy…right?
Well, not for Tucker and Heidi. Heidi has the “list,” you know the one with the “free pass”, but low and behold, - she meets one of the men on her list, and for ...more
This is one of those books that has me torn, on one hand I wanted to hate it but I couldn’t, I really enjoyed it. The story starts with Heidi and Tucker talking about a “Hall Pass” and their relationship. These are two people who are deeply in love, but want ...more
I loved watching as Heidi and her hard-as-nails persona, completely disappear when thoughts of Ransom filled her mind. From that very first passionate encounter, the woman was a goner. And ...more
Let me start off by saying the synopsis doesn’t even begin to explain how crazy this plot is. Reading this book I had no clue what was going to happen and the author threw one hell of a plot twist I never saw coming.
I had a hard time feeling sorry for Heidi. I mean a majority of the shit that happened to her she deserved. I get that after being married for 10 years you need to liven things up but some things she did was just unforgivable. I felt really bad for Ransom. I felt ...more
Tryst is the second book in the Sexual Education series. Heidi is running the show on this one with appearances from Justice.
I was so completely frustrated with this one!!
There is something taboo and hot about getting that "free pass" on the celebrity you've been crushing on. When Heidi's sex life is lacking, she deals with it. She loves her husband Tucker and can't imagine her life without him. Does he ...more
