When I get the chance to showcase my art at an exclusive gala, I know it could catapult my career. Unexpectedly, I catch the eye of Tanner Steele, a commanding billionaire with an insatiable appetite for control. He offers me a commission…that I can’t refuse. Welcoming me into his world. Lines between a patron and artist begin to blur, along with pleasure and pain, art and reality. What scares me most isn’t the enemies or the whispers behind designer masks—it’s the way Tanner looks at me, like I can undo the walls he’s spent years building.
TANNER
I’ve spent years mastering control in and out of the bedroom. Nothing gets in without my permission. However, when I see Eve Harrington’s art for the first time, I don’t expect it to shake me. With her wild black and bright green hair, I’m drawn to her. And somehow, she becomes more than just a painter to me. She becomes my obsession. She doesn’t care who I am. The more time I spend with her, the more I realize she sees through everything—the charm, the money, the armor. She makes me feel… exposed. And for the first time in a long time, I don’t hate it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶 This book gave me strong Fifty Shades of Grey vibes. The author’s writing is very vivid, making it easy to picture each scene as it unfolds. The story moves at a fast pace, especially between scenes, which keeps things interesting and makes it a quick read. The relationship between the FMC and MMC develops very quickly, which adds to the intensity of their dynamic. The book also includes some light BDSM elements, which adds extra spice to their Relationship There are also a few moments throughout the book that make you stop and wonder what’s going to happen next. Overall, the pacing and intrigue kept me focused and engaged the whole time. The story also ends on a happy note that wraps everything up nicely If you’re looking for a fast, quick-paced, spicy read with light BDSM elements, this book might be for you.
The story kicks off with a classic, high stakes setup, Eve, a struggling artist, gets the break of a lifetime when she’s invited to the Illustrious Titan Club Gala. There, she meets Tanner, the billionaire owner of Steele Enterprises (and a high-end sex club). The chemistry and the "forced proximity" trope set in quickly when Tanner commissions Eve for a mural, leading her to move into his penthouse immediately. Unfortunately I struggled to feel a deep emotional connection to the leads. I would have loved more backstory on both Eve and Tanner to understand their motivations better beyond their immediate attraction. I also felt the story was a bit rushed. So much happens to Eve and Tanner, but because the plot moves so quickly, there isn't enough time to process the "fallout" of major scenes. Spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶 Rated ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book completely pulled me in from the first page and didn’t let go. The dynamic between Eve and Tanner is intense, layered, and addictive. What starts as a simple commission quickly turns into something far deeper charged with tension, vulnerability, and a constant push-and-pull between control and surrender. Tanner isn’t just your typical dominant billionaire he’s complex, guarded, and unexpectedly shaken by Eve in a way that feels real. And Eve? She’s not weak or naive she challenges him, sees through him, and that’s what makes their connection so compelling. The chemistry is undeniable, but what really stood out is how the story balances passion with emotional depth. It’s not just about attraction it’s about two people unraveling each other. The backdrop of art, wealth, and high-society intrigue adds another layer of tension that keeps things interesting beyond the romance. There’s just enough suspense to keep you turning pages. If you enjoy erotic romance with strong characters, emotional intensity, and a storyline that goes beyond surface-level attraction, this is absolutely worth the read.
This book has it hot moments and they are steamy… however, I feel like it’s all very rushed. There wasn’t much build up for the characters and the story. The drama parts of the book feel like they were added to give the book the drama to go along with the heat and possibly connect the characters together more but to me, it fell short on that aspect. Eve is kind of likable but at times just not a strong female lead like I would normal read in books like this. Tanner is a guy who likes a little kink… there was a darker element to him but that was almost instantly swept away which I feel like could have preluded into something huge for this book. A part of me feels like there’s plot holes through out and shifts within certain scenes and interactions that got to me a little.
All in all, solid book for a first time reader of this author.
This is Eva and Tanner’s story, Eva is a struggling artist who receives a chance to highlight her art at an exclusive gala, which could catapult her career, while Tanner is a billionaire, and the owner of Steele Enterprises, a high-end sex club. Tanner has an insatiable need to control, and from the moment he sees Eva he is drawn to her. The only downside is that I felt this story was just too rushed. This is a good story, which has emotions, tension, intrigue, forced proximity, complex characters, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an enjoyable, and intense, page turner. I look forward to reading more from this author.
