Lost or Found. Is it so naïve to want to believe that maybe, just maybe, after a few very hard knocks and escaping the only life she has ever known, the gods have smiled down on Laina Gehring? Is it possible that she has found not one, but two soul mates at the same time? Lost My Way Found takes place against the backdrop of the artistic community in the city of Portland, Maine. It is this place that Laina Gehring adopts as her own after fleeing New York, leaving behind memories filled with both pain and regret. With the help of her friends, she bravely starts a new life and meets two amazing men. Declan is a gallery owner and artist and the other, Ben, a professor and café owner. Both men, friends since childhood, are immediately taken with the dark haired beauty and neither is willing to back off from pursuing her. Laina finds herself falling head over heals for the two and does not know how to choose between them. As the sexual and emotional relationships with the men grow deeper she admits to herself that she will never make that choice. As their love triangle becomes more serious with each passing day, Laina becomes lost enough in her new-found life, as well as trying to prevent her past from catching up with her, that she doesn’t see that there is someone else that wants her for his own. He is watching, waiting… for that moment that her guard is down and vulnerable to his dark intentions…
I'm an Indie Author that not only writes steamy romance books, but I'm a huge fan of the whole genre and have been known to do a bit of fan-girling myself when I discover a new book boyfriend. I was born and raised in New York, where I live with my three beautiful children and a sixty pound Black Labrador that thinks she's a lapdog. On the rare occasion I'm not working, writing, or being a mom, I look forward to moments when my coffee is strong and long rambling conversations with someone you love, leave a mark on your soul. I came into writing late, and I'm continually amazed at just how many people have been open and welcoming. I have met some fantastic woman because of my books, and for that fact alone, I will continue to write more. Love and all that good stuff xoxo Kelly Lee
I really enjoyed this story. Laina has an abusive ex-boyfriend she is trying to get away from. She meets Declan and Ben, who are best friends. It's a good love story with some suspense in it but the big hangup for me was that it was way too long (572 pgs). This story could have been really good if a lot of the repetitive scenes were cut out. 3.5 stars
I'm actually surprised I finished this book, and I probably should have stopped as soon as I realized how bad the writing mechanics would be. Sadly, the writing went from basic lack of flow to just poor, showcasing lack of punctuation, misusing your/you're and to/too, capitalizing words to make a point, randomly placed parenthesis to interrupt a conversation. The story concept was intriguing at first, but the over attention to insignificant details and lack of introspection of characters just made it drag. The dialogue between characters and the heroine's internal dialogue was unnatural and generally all over the place. The "big surprises" were apparent to me far in advance, and the sexy scenes that originally drove the book dwindled toward the end. I got to the end where the relationship was changing and found I simply didn't care.
I enjoyed reading this book from beginning till end, It was nice and long which I loved. Great characters, kept it fun and interesting. Would totally recommend if you love a triad.
Such a beautiful and honest relationship. This book bleeds with such strong emotions. I love all the twists and turns, as they bring such great friends closer, bonding them in something so bitterly powerful. I cried allot towards the end of this book, some happy tears, many gut wrenching also. I found myself drawn towards Ben, he is such a honest soul, his quiet strength and his way with words and expressing himself left me drowning in his appreciation. There needs to be some editing changes in this story, it did get a little frustrating and cut through the emotions of the story. I was a little disappointed that the guys didn't kiss, I thought that in the end it would have led to that, but it didn't alter or silent the unsaid love and respect they had for each other. There love, 3 ways is a love worthy of making the movies jealous.....
I really wanted to love this book as by the reviews it had everything I love in a book but it was a real struggle getting through it. Couldn't even make 50%. Just kept repeating the same stuff over and over. Wasn't going anywhere and the excitement level was 0.
wow. loved this book. it's well written and the characters were amazing, and I love the fact that this relationship didn't just fall together like so many ménage stories do.
Ok I see all the bad reviews and I feel like I must defend it. This book is for entertainment! I repeat for entertainment. With that out of the way I can now tell you why I love it.
This is the story on how three friends became a Triad and later on a family. What not to love about that. There is suspense, drama, the sex is hot, angst and all that good stuff. Its a good little read if you just want something light and not too heavy.
No could the book use a editor? Yes it definitely could, as well as a grammar check and a few tweaks. Is this going to be held with the classics like Bronte, and Thoreau. Nope, not even close, its just supposed to be a steamy read, that's it. Not particularly thought provoking, not the next great American novel, just a good story.
So I would suggest because its one of the best M/F/M books I have ever read... period.
I've been reading this book for nearly a month and have barely made any progress. I feel that unless it turns to gold in my hands, I won't rate it any better than 2 stars.
LOST MY WAY FOUND was entirely too long without enough diversity to make it interesting.
Laina is running from her abusive ex-boyfriend and picks up her life with her friends Maddie & Chris (a couple).
She soon meets artist and gallery owner, Declan and his best friend Ben, a professor and café owner. Instantly there is an attraction between the all three, but it doesn’t go smoothly at first.
Declan and Ben are not so open to the idea of sharing and the competition between the two is always an issue. They aren’t necessarily purposely competing, but whoever is not with Laina is pouting. They often got jealous of a the bond that the other had with Laina. Declan & Laina’s passion for art and Ben & Laina’s passion for words and literature.
I liked Ben more for 90% of the book. He was much softer with Laine, but no less commanding while Declan is outgoing and dominating. This becomes an issue when a stalker is after Laine, whom they assume to be her ex.
When the issue of her loving one more than the other arises, it sends off to reevaluate his part in the relationship .
The end was too forgiving. I wanted to see how they all made up, but it was a nice epilogue.
I loved this book!!! I loved Declan and Ben one an artist and the other a writer. Omg... I started reading and couldn't stop reading because I needed to know what happened. This book will draw you in place you smack dab in the middle of the story. The author does a great job bring these characters to life, sharing the raw reality of what can happen in a Triad relationship. In addition she shows an example of what true family is...i also loved that she discussed Topics in relation to girl power. Not falling pry to being a victim butt over coming abusive situations and standing up for herself. Often times we hear all the bad things that happen in result of abusive relationship. Butt this story leaves you with hope and strength and beauty that comes from ashes. I can't wait to read more by this author.
Lost My Way Found was a great read. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline and would recommend it to friends. This book gives us the story of Laina, her ex Mark, Declan and Ben along with other characters you will come to love and hate. We have two best friends who fall in love with the same woman and tries to protect her from her abusive ex but he isn't the only one whose dangerous; the threats keep coming from all angles and other people. As they try to protect the woman they love they also struggle to do what's right for them as they adjust to an unconventional relationship. I enjoyed this book a lot but simply because from the very start Laina didn't hide her feelings for Declan and Ben, they knew about each other so this story wasn't focused on the lies and cheating between them which made the story much more enjoyable. It's definitely worth reading!
This book was amazingly realistic. You feel for all the characters, You feel what they are going through. And your emotions run from happiness, sadness, mad and angry, but most of all the Author lets you feel their pain in heartache and LOVE. Thanks for writing such a great book. While I have been reading a book a day lately this one took 3 days to read. It's not one you want to rush but I have to say it was in my hands every chance I got. I even read it while my hubby did the driving (and I ignored him and the radio). I really didn't think it was going to end the way that it did.( I wont give anything away with making that last comment.) Read and enjoy this book you wont be sorry that you did.
I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Kelly managed to make both lead male characters at two totally different ends of the spectrum. Ben being a sweetheart who wears his heart on his sleeve and Declan being a moody alpha male. In a way that makes them both perfect for Lania. Lania is defitnely a female lead you could fall in love with. The secondary characters for well written as well but at certain times thru out the book i wanted to reach thru my iPad and smack the ever loving s*** out of them. This was a very well written novel and flowed very well. The sex scenes were very well written without being too over the top. Looking forward to reading more from this wonderful debut author.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book!!! Declan and Sam are HOT the sex is HOT. What more could you ask for than two men who ooze confidence and are drop dead gorgeous?
I didnt want to put this book down after I started reading it. you just get sucked in and there are twists and turns when you least expect them.
The only thing about this book I did not care for was the ending.. I still wanted more even with the epilogue I still wanted a little bit more of the story before it ended.
definitely worth the 5 stars and then some. Will be looking into more books from Kelly Lee Casey after reading this one.
I did enjoy this book, although the three main characters all annoyed me at times. I liked that Ben & Declan were not a couple but they did seem to take to the idea of sharing Laina very well..?! I do enjoy a Ménage book but they are mostly insta love & sometimes that can be quite boring after a time. I liked how there was at least a bit of angst between the three main characters & the building relationships. I thought the whole story was a refreshing change to the usual threesome offerings..
The book seems long but to be honest I think it needs to be took me 2 days to read and I was hooked I hated leaving it do things and go to sleep lol. There are twist and turns everywhere and the ending before the epilogue gave me goosebumps I really thought it was going one way but then another twist, I wouldn't mind saying I'd love another book so we can see theses again especially what was said in the epilogue
I really enjoyed reading the story that unfolded in this book. The three main characters were so believable and engaging and the story was poignant and realistic. The idea of a love triangle/ ménage relationship is one that some consider taboo, but as in the story, does love really have a limit? I highly recommend this love story to anyone who loves to read a good romance.
This book was ok. I actually liked the storyline. It's why I finished the book. But I didn't like the lead female. Most of the time I just wanted to smack her. Other times I believed the author just threw in sex scenes Willy nilly. Got so bad I would honestly start flipping the pages until they started talking again.
The first realistic look at a triad. All the emotions of three people involved, all the emotional baggage. Well written story that could be real. Loved it. Surprisingly compelling... Couldn't put it down...
Wow! What an amazing book. This book was excellent is an awesome roller coaster of emotions.I spent the weekend reading it. All three main characters had me hooked at the beginning. I just could not stop reading this book. This book without a doubt has it all. 5 Stars for sure.
I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone with an open mind about their sexual fantasies. Declan Ben and Laina had an unconventional relationship but they didn't let what other people think stop their relationship. Fall in love with this novel.
This book has a nice balance of everything. The story is entertaining, the characters are interesting and the sex is hot. A little too much Declan and his cavemen BS. I'll keep this one in my library.
Simply amazing. Excellent story. I laughed, and cried and felt every emotion between the two. I feel in love with Declan, Ben, and even Manny. Was definitely envious of Laina. Well written...Thank you
I really loved the relationship that all 3 main characters had! there was so much passion and drama in every page. plus a hot and sexy artist and a hot and sexy English professor! yum
