Where Her Heart Finds Home

Rate this book
Mikayla Masterson

I never thought I knew what a home meant—until I lost the only one I’d ever known.
After my father died—well, even before that—my world started to change. Finding my mother with my boyfriend was the final blow. Living under the same roof with her after that? Impossible.
So, I packed up and left. No plan, no destination—just the need to get away.
And then I meet him—on my birthday, of all days—at a restaurant I only found because my brother wanted to treat me to something special.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that meeting him would also mean learning what home truly is. But is it real? Can I trust it? Or will he leave me, just like everyone else I’ve ever loved?

Caine Montgomery

I thought love was a game I’d already lost—and I wasn’t dumb enough to play again.
After my divorce, I decided I was done with it—done with trying, done with trusting, done with the bullshit that comes with both. I put my energy into bronc riding, then the ranch. Work doesn’t lie. People do.
After a long day at a horse auction in New Mexico, my brother and I stop at our usual steakhouse—the one place that doesn’t care about the truck, the trailer, or the dirt on our boots. I just want a quiet meal and maybe a beer before heading home.
Then I see her.
She’s alone, but those eyes, they’re bright and full of something I can’t remember ever seeing before. And when I’m offered a table before she is, I find myself asking her to join us. And for the life of me, I can’t tell you why she says yes, but she does! And for a second, I find I enjoy her unexpected banter with my annoying brother. “Weird, but entertaining.”
Then she’s gone. No last name. No number. Just a memory that won’t quit.
And I’ve never been more pissed at myself than I am right now.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
🌶️🌶️.5/5

I throughly enjoyed the book from beginning to end. My only complaint being is for me sometimes when a MMC is overly protective/alpha so quickly it rubs me wrong, I prefer to build up to that.

Mikayla’s world is about to shift completely for her. She’s loosing her father. Her best friend. She’s not in the best place with her mother Heidi at all. Her relationship with her brother Jack? That’s rocky as well because he defends his mother and has excuses for her behavior. Mikayla knows that her mother has been unfaithful while her father has been sick. There’s a situation that occurs that Mikayla literally walks into that has her packing and leaving her mother’s house and Seattle.

Mikayla is in a relationship with Cody. He’s the only man she’s ever been with but obviously her relationship is taking a back seat due to her current situation.

Now, with Mikayla gone she does get the help of her brother Jack as he wants to make sure she’s safe and taken care of regardless of his relationship with his mother. Thankfully, Mikayla also has Raquel her best friend who is by her side through it.

One night, one dinner eating with two strangers, men at that….brothers at that. Makes for quite the evening. Especially when one of those men is a complete grump and the other is a jokester and poking at his brother the entire dinner. But oddly enough it’s what Mikayla needed as it brings much needed laughs. Why sweat this anyways? You’ll never see each other again after tonight.

Cue, the grump being Caine our MMC. He’s a champion and now he runs a ranch and provides trainings to those coming up in the rodeo world. His family all senses what a grump he is and tend to give him a hard time. But that family dynamic is honestly perfect and refreshing I thoroughly enjoyed the whole family throughout the story. Caine is divorced and has felt he already lost at love. Game over for him. But since that dinner with Mikayla he can’t forget her and regrets not giving her his phone number.

Mikayla finds herself with a flat tire two months later and calls Patrick or so she believes she’s calling Patrick. But, Patrick (Caines brother) actually gave her Caines number. By the way, Mikayla hasn’t stopped thinking of Caine since that dinner either.

Mikayla finds herself struggling with many emotions throughout staying with Caine on the ranch until her car is fixed which Caine conveniently puts off because he doesn’t want her to leave. Mikayla and Caine go through quite a few ups and downs. Mikayla is a runner though, or as Caine says…. The girl is gonna bolt! Caine isn’t gonna give up on her though.

If you are looking for a grumpy cowboy who’s a protective MMC, age gap, steam along with a storyline of family struggles, insta-attraction, family dynamics, overcoming fears and a happily ever after filled with laughter throughout than Where Your Heart Finds Home needs a place on your TBR.

Thank you for the ARC Alexandra Shaw 🫶🏻

One night, one dinner she meets Caine and his brother Patrick. You say goodbye thinking you’d never see him again. Months later you find yourself in a situation, your car has broken down so you call Patrick’s number. Only it’s not Patrick it’s Caine!!! Your heart just stopped. “Caine”?

This is my first book by this author and it had me in my feels, I giggled, I swooned and smiled so much it’s such a fun easy read. The scene at the beginning in the steakhouse had me laughing so much I love Patrick he’s such a funny sweet guy.

“Caine Montgomery” is your MMC and he is HOT!!🔥
Absolute cowboy perfection 🤌🏼, grumpy but such a caring character. Mikayla is your MFC and she goes through struggles in the beginning but seeing how much she grew through the book and the way she really came out of her shell and their growth as a couple was beautiful! But also loved how witty she was! The slow burn was perfection!! The found family was 10/10 and the banter was even better!

Overall I loved the story, it’s emotional but so real, there’s healing and heart through the story and it just really puts life into perspective.

This book brings emotions to the front that you do not even realize until it hits you during their story. Be ready for a rollercoaster of an amazing ride! Can’t wait to see who is next!

Micky Masterson 23 years old goes through college while there for her father as he is diagnosed with cancer, passing away one week after her Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduation. Walking in to find her boyfriend and her mother in more than friendly entanglement was the last straw with both. Taking her belongings and hitting the road to anywhere leaving it all behind to focus on herself. Jack, her brother, has never understood what dealing with their mother firsthand really entailed, always defending her instead of giving excuses for their mother. Ending up in New Mexico where she meets Caine Montgomery III, a 40-year-old divorced, retired rider, bronco trainer, and runs family the ranch. While trying to get a table to eat her birthday dinner on her own. The waitress tells her it will be a wait for a table for one when Caine and his brother hear he asks for a table for three to include her. Their first meeting was hilarious with everything from a jealous waitress spitting in Caine’s salad to Micky calling him Daddy and Grandpa to get a rise out of him. Both left the encounter with conflicting feelings, but life goes on without either offering their contact information.

Micky heads to Austin Texas where her best friend Raquel lives and Caine heads back to the ranch to train a crew of young bronc riders. After passing her boards and realizing the party life is not for her, she packs up to head out traveling while waiting on the results. While passing through Fort Worth TX, Micky has car trouble during the night and in the middle of a rainstorm. Not knowing what else to do while scrolling through her phone finds Caine’s brother’s number. He had given it to her the night of her birthday telling her to call if she’s ever in the area. When the call is answered it is Caine who tells her he is on his way talking to her over the hour’s ride to her location. He hooks her truck up and takes her to his house, a place where he doesn’t bring anyone. Life is never dull between navigating living together, fighting their attraction to each other and trust issues from their past, along with her family issues. You are along for the ride with them, seeming as you are standing right behind as they navigate through live and make choices to not only grow their relationship but let go of the past, give a home and help to two brother’s that are lost and Micky deciding to take a nursing position for Caine’s best friend Kyle to settle in Texas and with Caine.

Caine accompanies Micky and Jack, her brother, to clean out the items in the family home that their mother is selling. While there they not only have confrontation with their mother they find they have an Aunt and Uncle that they knew nothing about due to being estranged because of their Mom while visiting the cemetery.

This book brings emotions to the front that you do not even realize until it hits you during their story. Be ready for a rollercoaster of an amazing ride! Can’t wait to see who is next!

Alexandra Shaw did it again — she pulled me right into a story that had me smiling, swooning, and getting hit in the feelings more than once. This book follows Mikayla, a soon-to-be nursing graduate who’s been through so much. Losing her dad, caring for him through his illness, and then dealing with the ultimate betrayal from the people who were supposed to love her most… my heart hurt for her. When she crosses paths with Caine — grumpy, gorgeous, cowboy-millionaire, former bronc rider — there’s this instant spark, but life (and bad timing) gets in the way.

Months later, thanks to a well-timed car breakdown, fate basically says “try that again,” and from there… I was hooked. Their chemistry is so good. The spice is the kind that actually means something — emotional, high-chemistry, a little possessive, and definitely unforgettable.

The pacing was wonderful from start to finish. It has slower emotional moments and quick, high-impact scenes, but everything flowed perfectly. And the small-town vibe? Cozy, comforting, and full of banter that had me grinning. The side characters add so much charm too — I’m really hoping we get spinoffs for Mikayla’s brother or best friend… and don’t even get me started on Caine’s single younger brother or bestie. 👀

What really stood out to me, though, was how well the emotional themes were woven into the whole story — grief, healing, trust, second chances. Alexandra has a way of making you feel all of it without ever overwhelming you.

If you love protective cowboys with soft hearts, grumpy/sunshine magic, insta-love that feels earned, and small-town romance with just the right amount of spice and emotion… this one’s going straight on your favorites list.

This book… the ways this book hit me…Mikayla is shattered after losing her dad after a prolonged illness. He was her person, and being a daddy’s girl myself, I get it. It’s devastating losing your dad when he’s always been there. This comes at a time when she is making a huge transition from nursing school and preparing to take her state boards (NCLEX). As an RN myself I feel that as well. Mikayla keeps getting hit over and over with difficult things with little to no break between. Heading out on an impromptu road trip, she meets Caine (a retired rodeo star) and his brother, Patrick. They share dinner and head their separate ways, with both Caine and Mikayla finding the other on their minds frequently during the months that follow. Life continues on and each of them never forgetting the other, with some spicy dreams -insert eyebrow waggle here- to be had. After her car breaks down, she calls Patrick who had given her his number in case she was ever in town again but lo’ and behold who answers? Caine!! He comes to her rescue like any self respecting cowboy would do and they embark on a journey of discovery, healing of old wounds, some spice and a whole lotta love. Alexandra has a wonderful sense of humor that shines through in this book. The humor hits as does the emotion making this a great read that I would recommend everyone read. After all.. who doesn’t love a sexy Texan who rescues the damsel he’s obsessed about since first meeting her?

Where Her Heart Finds Home is a deeply emotional small-town romance about healing, rebuilding, and allowing yourself to be loved after life has undone you.

Mikayla is at her breaking point — grieving her father, feeling disconnected from her future in medicine, and then discovering the ultimate betrayal at home. She leaves everything behind with no plan except to escape. What she finds instead is Caine — a man who has his own scars, his own regrets, and a cautious heart that’s spent years closed off.

Their story is full of slow-burning emotional connection, quiet and tender intimacy, and the kind of love that grows in the stillness of everyday moments. I loved the setting, the family dynamics on the ranch, and the found family elements that begin to take shape as Mikayla starts allowing joy back into her life.

There were moments when both characters reacted in ways that felt intense or messy — but honestly, that added to the realism. Healing is not pretty. Love after trauma isn’t smooth or simple. And the author lets it be complicated.

The last third of the book — with the family reconnections, dream with her father, and Caine becoming not just a partner but a safe place — was incredibly moving. The ending felt warm, hopeful, and well-earned.

A heartfelt, tender, and emotionally grounded romance about choosing love and choosing yourself.

ARC REVIEW

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Loved This as a Lil Reset Read

Okay so… this book was honestly the PERFECT palette cleanser after all the pitch-black, soul-crushing, morally-gray men I’ve been reading lately. I needed something lighter, cuter, and just… not traumatizing, and this hit the spot in such a sweet way.

First of all, let me just say this with my whole chest: I HATE THE MOM. Absolutely cannot stand that woman. She is narcissistic, delusional, and somehow always manages to act like she’s the victim. Every time there was a slight mention of the mom... I felt my blood pressure rising. But also… she made me root for Micky even harder, so I’ll allow it.

The story itself was warm, funny, and gave me that little fluttery feeling I didn’t realize I’d been missing. And Caine?? Yeah. That man did what needed to be done. 👀🔥

Also, if you’ve been here a while, you already know I ARC-read Claiming Adelaide for this author and absolutely DEVOURED it, so I knew I was in safe hands. Alexandra Shaw has this cozy, addictive style that just feels like a hug but with enough spice and tension to keep you hooked.

Overall: 4 stars because it was exactly what I needed — cute, comforting, and the perfect break from the dark chaos I usually enjoy way too much. Highly recommend if you want something that makes you smile without putting your heart through the blender.

Mikayla is still grieving the loss of her father and struggling with her toxic mother, so before taking her board exams, she decides to hit the road for a little escape. A stop for a simple birthday dinner leads to an unexpected spark when she meets Caine and Patrick, two brothers returning from an auction. The chemistry between Mikayla and Caine is undeniable, but after dinner they each go their separate ways—Mikayla heading to visit her friend in Austin, and Caine returning to his ranch.

Fate, however, has other plans. When Mikayla’s car breaks down, she remembers that Patrick gave her his number “just in case.” Only it turns out he didn’t—she ends up calling Caine instead. Caine comes to her rescue, and what starts as a chance encounter becomes something deeper. Still, both are carrying emotional baggage from their pasts, and Mikayla’s future is uncertain as she searches for a job and a sense of direction.

This story delivers all the heart and heat you want from a grumpy-sunshine romance. The chemistry between Mikayla and Caine feels real, the emotional growth is satisfying, and the small-town charm ties it all together. A heartfelt, feel-good read that I’d recommend to anyone who loves a little grit with their happily ever after.

**ARC review***

This wasn’t my typical read. This was my first age gap book. I enjoyed it more than I thought that I would.

This book definitely had me interested within the first few chapters! Mikayla & Caine have a very unique story.

Mikayla just graduated from nursing school. Dealing with the loss of her father. While her mother is nothing but toxic.

Caine retired bronc rider. Who has commitment issues due to his past. Grumpy ray of sunshine.

From randomly running into each other at a restaurant while traveling. Instant attraction, but neither acted on it. Thankfully Caine’s brother Patrick was smart enough to give Mikayla his number. In case she was ever in town again. Months go by and they can’t stop thinking of each other. Mikayla ends up having car troubles. While traveling through. Believes she’s calling Patrick for help, but is shocked when the man she can’t stop dreaming about answers. Of course Caine goes to her rescue...
(You will have to read it for the rest!)

There are a lot of highs and lows. While they figure out the dynamic of their relationship.

Has a good plot/spice ratio in my opinion!

Where Her Heart Finds home is a cowboy romance with depth and humor. This is my third book I have read by Alexandra and I am happy that I know she will consistently deliver. Her characters are complex and often have some trauma or challenges they work through to be more stable in the relationships. She handles mental health very well. There are some triggers in this book, but I didn’t find the book heavy to read.
This book takes place in Texas the majority of the time. As someone that has lived by Ft. Worth, I have to note that Alexandra did a great job talking about some of the small cultural things in the area. Weather, traffic, and more are accurately depicted.
Where the Heart Finds a Home is a spicy good time for anyone that enjoys a little heat when they read. I love the devotion that the MMC shows to Mikayla. We all love when someone protects us even when we don’t protect ourselves. The MMC is a caretaker, but not in a condescending way.
If you are looking for an easy read book to enjoy over a weekend, this would be a good choice.
This book is for anyone that enjoys found family cowboy romance, age gap, and open door romance.
I received a copy of the book from Alexandra and I am leaving my review voluntarily. Thanks for letting me read your book!

Absolutely beautiful (and a little addictive).
Where Her Heart Finds Home pulled me in from the very first chapter and refused to let go — I literally finished it in under four hours because I could not stop reading. Alexandra Shaw wrote a story that feels like coming home, but with just enough spice to make your heart race and your cheeks warm.

The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts — every glance, every touch had that slow-burn tension that builds until you’re practically screaming for them to just give in already. The emotional depth and vulnerability in their story made it impossible not to feel every single moment.

I loved watching the heroine find her strength, her voice, and ultimately the love she truly deserved. This book is the perfect blend of passion, healing, and small-town heart — the kind that leaves you with a smile (and maybe a few butterflies).

If you love emotional romances with a touch of heat, second chances, and characters who feel real, this one’s going to stick with you. ❤️🔥

Such a great story! I had the opportunity to ARC Read this book and I loved it.

The storyline was incredible. The characters were well written. Age Gap, Grief, and Second Chance.

Micky has a lot of growing to do. She has a lot of grief and anger to overcome that she keeps pushing to the side.

Caine has walls built up surrounding women.

The two meet by a chance encounter at Shirley's Diner. Caine invites her to join him and his brother for dinner. They have an interesting dinner. Before they go their separate ways Patrick gives Mick his number for if she's ever in the area.

Some time later Micky's car breaks down and she calls Patrick... only for it to be Caine. Caine drives an hour to come help her and then he is already breaking his rules in regards to women.

They both have been thinking about each other for months. He falls first. They both fall hard, and they are scared of things not working out.

They both are trying to overcome their complicated pasts to make room for their love to flourish.

All in all this was truly an incredible story. Go check it out. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to arc read for you!

⭐ Rating: 4/5

Where Her Heart Finds Home by Alexandra Shaw was such a sweet, feel-good small-town romance. I loved following Mikayla Masterson as she walked away from a life built on betrayal and landed in a tiny Texas town where she never expected to stay—let alone find someone who sees her so clearly.

Enter Caine, the grumpy cowboy with a soft heart he tries (and fails) to hide. Their banter was one of my favorite parts of the book—playful, snarky, and full of that slow-burn tension that makes you grin while reading. Watching Mikayla slowly rediscover herself, build new connections, and find a sense of belonging again gave the story so much heart.

Tropes you’ll find:

🤠 Grumpy cowboy / sunshine-ish heroine
🏡 Small-town, fresh start romance
💕 Slow burn + great banter
❤️ Found family vibes

My only small critique is that a few emotional moments wrapped up a bit quickly—but overall, this was a really warm, charming read that left me smiling. A solid 4 stars from me.

Thank you to the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I got to read this book as an ARC read and I am so thankful.

If you like age gap and grumpy cowboy then this book is for you. Mikayla and Caine are two people who are not sure what love and happiness truly are until they meet each other. Mikayla comes to the table with trauma and abandonment issues and Caine comes with his own relationship trauma. However, through random circumstance they find their way to each other and rewrite everything they thought they knew about love and commitment. There are some rollercoaster moments throughout this book with the FMC and MMC as well as other characters. Ultimately, this story truly revolves around home being a person and not just a place.

I must say every girl needs a Caine in their life to call home. He comes with love, patience, and understanding that had no bounds. Mikayla was a relatable character for so many and it gives hope that you too can be okay if you walk away from toxicity. Alexandra Shaw great story and so thankful you shared it with me!!!

Another fantastic read for Alexandra Shaw. While the book contains some spice, the story focuses more on the love Caine and Mikayla have for one another and how that love heals the trauma they have embedded into their souls.

Mikayla is an easy to love FMC. Her emotions are extremely understandable from the things she has to deal with in her life. The family stress is something any reader can relate to and when she faces the main source of her stress head on it becomes inspiring.

Caine, the MMC is a grumpy ray of sunshine. One who protects the ones he loves, doing anything to get them the help they need and expecting nothing in return. For him to commit everything for a relationship after what happened to him before he met Mikayla is heartwarming.

This age gap romance isnt something you want to miss out on and I cant wait to see what Alexandra has up her sleeves with the rest of the crew in the story.

Where Her Heart Finds Home is a gentle, heartfelt story with a cozy small-town vibe and a heroine searching for a sense of belonging. Alexandra Shaw builds a warm atmosphere—the kind filled with familiar faces, quiet moments, and the promise of healing—which makes the book easy to settle into.
The emotional beats land softly, and the romance has a sweet, slow-burn feel that many readers will appreciate. There’s a sincerity to the writing that gives the story charm, especially in the moments where the main character begins to rediscover herself.
That said, the pacing can feel uneven at times, and some scenes drift rather than drive the plot forward. The romance, while sweet, occasionally lacks the tension or spark that could have pushed it from pleasant to unforgettable.
Overall, Where Her Heart Finds Home is a warm, comforting read with tender themes—but it doesn’t fully stand out in a crowded genre. A solid, enjoyable story for readers who love quiet, heart-centered romances with a soft touch.

I felt seen since the dedication all the way to the end. It’s hard to walk away from a toxic parent and this book tells me I’m going to be okay. Warning this book will have you all in your feels and if you read in public you will get funny looks for laughing so hard, and I mean kicking feet giggling hard!
I love Mikayla so much, she goes through emotions and acts a little crazy at times, but she’s strong and holds her own. Plus we love a little crazy
Also don’t talk about her man!
As for Cain if he’s not DADDY then why daddy shape?
There’s a delicious age gap that isn’t made into a big deal, but there are some aspects that will have you laughing hard!
The side characters are amazing you will fall in love with the brothers and his best friend.
You are going to love this book so much!
Thank you Alexandra Shaw for letting me have the privilege of arc reading for you!

Caine and Mikayla.. wowzers! What a good read! She’s is trying to find herself and he is a grumpy former bronc rider who now trains the young guys in. There is a lot of tension and passion and some knock your socks off moments. At first I was annoyed by Mick’s constant self doubt and the pouting and goodness.. As the book went on it got better, once she found her footing. It’s then I realized just how much she had gone through and how much I love that she worked hard to get herself back! It’s like life just kept trying to knock her down. Caine also has been through some crap and said no more. Until her! That strange encounter that stirred up all the feelings in both of them. Oh and all of the side characters!!! Like seriously, can we get more of them too please?! This is a happily ever after book.

Oh my gosh, did I ever love this book. Before I was even five chapters in, I was already hit with heartbreak and betrayal — and then, out of nowhere, came a stunning cowboy who completely stole the show. From that moment on, I knew I was in for a ride.
This story took me on a full-blown emotional roller coaster. I laughed out loud at Caine’s brother, Patrick (he’s absolutely hilarious), and then found myself tearing up at the raw, emotional moments that hit way too close to home.
The author perfectly captured the ache of loss, the fear of trusting again, and the unexpected beauty of finding love when you least expect it. Caine and Mikayla’s connection felt real — messy, healing, and utterly captivating.
If you love small-town romance with a broody cowboy, found family, family drama, and a heroine rebuilding herself from the ground up, this one will absolutely steal your heart. 🤠💔❤️‍🔥
Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to ARC read this book

Oh hot damn and yeehaw! This story had my heart! I couldn’t put it down. I’m all about some sexy cowboy love. It had me laughing out loud, it had me crying at times and it had falling in love with these characters and their stories.
Caine, the grumpy older cowboy, reminded me of Rip off of Yellowstone with his mannerisms and his deep love and passion for his woman. Mikayla, the nurse, whose personal life is a mess finds her path with the help of this cowboy. This author never disappoints! She knows how to write a story and make you have all the feels. It has found family, small town cowboy ranch, grumpy sunshine, second chances and slow burn with a lot of humor! Please add this to your TBR!

Where Her Heart Finds Home gave me all the feels — soft, emotional, tender, and then suddenly… the spice was SPICING. 🙈🔥
Mikayla’s journey is so raw and real. She’s grieving, lost, and trying to rebuild a life that doesn’t hurt to wake up in. And then there’s Caine — guarded, hurting, and convinced he doesn’t get a second chance at love. Their slow-burn connection builds so naturally that by the time they finally give in to each other… it’s intense, emotional, and honestly perfect for where they both are in their healing.
And what I loved most? The spice didn’t replace the plot — it deepened it. Their walls come down, their fears collide, and you really feel the shift from survival to safety.
A warm, healing, slightly spicy small-town romance about starting over, letting someone in, and finding home in unexpected places.

Where Her Heart Finds Home by Alexandra Shaw completely stole my heart. I’m obsessed with this book! Mikayla and Caine are the kind of characters that stay with you long after you finish reading. Their chemistry, their tension, their tenderness — all of it was perfection.

I loved Shaw’s writing style and the perfect pacing that kept me hooked from start to finish. And Caine? He’s everything. The way he steps in, helps Mikayla, and saves her from a life she desperately needed to escape had me rooting for him the entire time. Their connection is emotional, deep, and beautifully written.

If you love romance, protective heroes, and strong heroines finding their way home, this is the book for you. A 5/5 read for sure — I already miss them!

This book had me laughing, crying, and audibly saying “no way” just in the first few chapters. This books humor is next level the love story is one that many of us hope for. There is plenty of spice to go around and who doesn’t love a rich cowboy who is down to Earth, protective, grumpy, and kind. What I love about this book is you watch our FMC “Mickey” get utterly broken and then pick herself up set boundaries ,find love, heal and finds family along the way. Sometimes I had to roll my eyes at the way the two love birds act but that was a good thing. For me most of the spice was well placed and made sense. I think there was only a few scenes where I found myself saying oh here we go…lol. This book has Heart, Humor, and a whole lot of love.

Just finished reading Alexandra Shaw's Where her heart finds home that comes out November 21, 2025 and guys, you NEED this book on the top of your TBR list! It's SO GOOD!

This spicy cowboy romance, small age gap, will leave you in all your feels!
The sassy banter is fantastic even during some of the darker scenes.
The spice is 🔥 and the family drama is deep.

*I would recommend checking the trigger warnings for this one as some topics are a bit on the heavy side*. Very well written!

If you enjoy Debbie Macomber's sweet romances you’ll love this book.
Alexandra Shaw is next level, plus spice 🌶 🥵

I consumed this story in under 3 days. I loved it! Will definitely be reading more of Alexandra's work in the future!

This is a stand-alone book: 4/5 stars for me
You should check it out!

Alexandra does it again! I’m a sucker for a Cowboy romance and add age gap to it and I’m all in! Caine is the hot older cowboy who may be a little grumpy, Mikayla is a much younger woman who is struggling with so much after the loss of her father and as fate would have it to put Caine in her path. They are each just what the other needs. And as their love story unfolds it’s such a beautiful story. The insecurities that Mikayla feels throughout the book are very relatable. And the love and protection that Caine brings is swoon worthy! If you love small town, grumpy/sunshine, Cowboys and age gap look no further this is the perfect book for you!
