Forensic accountant Sloane Tobin and kooky pet psychic Willa may have the same face, but that’s the only thing these identical twins have in common.

How she can read the hearts and minds of animals has always been a mystery to Willa, and her rotten luck with men is equally baffling. Although she’s been looking for “The One” for what feels like forever (A teenage marriage t

4.5 stars!

Ah my heart, I am writing this in a euphoric high after finishing the book and probably why I am rounding up the stars to a 5! This book was fantastic I loved this a lot more than the author's 'In Need of Therapy'. The writing, the humor, the romance and the story line have all been improved upon significantly. This book even managed to surprise me with good twists whenever I kept thinking it will fall into a traditional chick-lit rut.

This was a book about twins (well, duh the title

Whoa, what can I say? Chick lits had always been one of my favorite genre and this one from Tracie Banister just made me giggly and starry-eyed. I think, sisters Willa and Sloane are the only twins I've encountered in a book who aren't villainous and do not hate each other. Ha ha. Seriously, of all the books I've read before, be it dystopian, or mystery or sci-fi or fantasy, most twins are either pit against each other and one of them is evil and cunning and is out to kill the other one.

Hooray for the latest book from Tracie Banister. These twins will pique your interest from page one to the last line. The book is funny and charming, and filled with great characters, cute men, and even cuter dogs!

The story covers a summer in the lives of two identical twins who couldn't be more different. Pet psychic Willa is all sunshine and happiness. She firmly believes in love and is looking for The One, but mostly she's been looking in the wrong places. (Previously married to a mime? Reall

One of my favourite things that I love to read about in books is stories with identical twins , as despite their similarites they are definitely opposites as is the case with Willa and Sloane Tobin. Willa is a free-spirited dog whisperer and Sloane is a straight-laced accountant. There are two things though that these girls have in common and that is their not-so-good luck in men and that they are both extremely good at their jobs and what they do. In Twin Piques , Willa meets Brody while they a ...more

Check out my review here!

First of all, I love novels that can flawlessly shoot from one character’s POV to the other. This is what Tracie banister does in Twin Piques; two very different sisters who are also very similar in certain ways. Half way through the novel I found myself wondering just which sister I can relate to the most, that is how well developed the main characters are. Willa, the easy-going optimistic twin and Sloane, the hard-working be it

First of all, I could not stop laughing! Such a great read from beginning to end! It's a mixture of sweet, sexy and sassy all in one!

Sloane is the very serious forensic accountant and Willa is a sweet pet psychic who loves all animals and will drop anything to help a furry friend in need! These two couldn't be anymore different if they tried...

The both seem to have terrible luck (and choices) in men. These men never treat them right. There issues with men dated back to their father who left ther

Be prepared for a double hitter in this lovely tale! First off, previously I had read In Need of Therapy by Tracie Banister, and my interest was peaked as soon as I found out about this story. Tracie Banister's comedic timing shines through again as there were too many moments to count where I was laughing as I read along.

Readers get to dive into the world's of Willa and Sloane Tobin, identical twins, but entirely different minds. Willa is free-spirited and easy going and even though her career

This novel takes place in San Fransisco, California, where we meet Willa and Sloane. Twin sisters that are as different as they can be. Willa is a charming, sweet and caring pet psychic (I mean, how cool of a job is that?), while Sloane is a buttoned up forensic accountant ( who isn’t so buttoned up around her boss, if you know what I’m saying).

Willa is on the look out for the man of her dreams, and Sloane doesn’t really seem to care about having a relationship. Like I said, opposite as opposite

Snort-laugh hilarious!!

It dawned on me this afternoon why my abs hurt a bit yesterday and today when I haven't worked out in months...this book since I finished it at 3:00 yesterday morning. This book. Holy crap. There were several times that I had to wipe my eyes after laughing so hard. Worth every minute of sleep that I did not get!

***And with that, I give my new friend a saucy wink and follow the PA out to the corridor, doing my best not to wobble like a Weeble.***

I seriously have no idea why

Twin Piques is a fabulously fun novel filled with humor, life and romance. I was literally laughing from page one! Within the pages of this novel, Tracie created a lively world and highly entertaining story. I have to admit, this is a difficult review for me to write, but not because I didn’t like it, but rather, because I LOVED this book! It’s always more difficult to write reviews for the books that I really really loved, because I w

Forensic accountant, Sloane, and kooky pet psychic, Willa, may have the same face, but that’s the only thing these identical twins have in common. Although she’s been looking for “The One” for what feels like forever, optimistic Willa refuses to give up on love. Sloane has zero interest in romance. Her passion is her job, where she uses her gift for numbers to take down slimy embezzlers and asset-hiding spouses. When she’s assigned two high profile cases, Sloane feels confident the promotion she ...more

Enchanting Story, Excellent Writing

I loved this romantic comedy by Tracie Banister. She had me hooked from the beginning, pulled into the enchanting world of twin sisters: Willa, the artistic, free spirited pet psychic, and Sloane, the ambitious, nose to the grindstone forensic accountant. I laughed out loud throughout the book—the hysterical scenes and images Banister so deftly painted, the witty musings and inner dialogue of the characters—all were fantastic, original, inventive and so much th

I would say the genre of the book would come under romantic/comedy and it certainly had both of them. I was laughing from start to finish with the humorous situations the twins find themselves in or the ways in which they both think of these situations.

It also had its moments of drama and in some cases upsetting moments so I think you can say that this book has the whole package.

I found it a very light hearted, easy, summer read and I found myself finishing it in no time.

I love anything written by Tracie Banister! I find her writing enchanting, her characters charming and her story lines filled with just the right amount of drama. And I never tire of her signature wit! Twin Piques is the delightful tale of twin sisters who could not be more different. Willa is the definition of a free spirit, while Sloane has her feet firmly planted on the ground. Their personality traits were implanted in every aspect of their lives, from their chosen careers (Pet Psychic vs. F ...more

An intelligently written and clever story about twins with diverse outlooks on life. First there is Willa, who professes to have the ability to read dog's minds and those dogs apparently have a lot to say, including some big reveals. Combine that with her crazy love life and you have some real laugh out loud moments, Then there is Sloane, the no nonsense often cynical twin who has a dry wit I could really appreciate and found pretty amusing. With their love lives (some steamy scenes here) and ca ...more

Loved, loved, LOVED this book! Tracie Banister has become one of my favorite authors, and her third novel lived up to every one of my hopes. As always, her characters are richly developed, highly realistic, and joyfully comedic portrayals of people I would love to come across in real life. Her descriptions are vivid, her emotional journeys are spot on, and oh my gosh her plot twists! After a delicious journey, Twin Piques wraps up in an absolutely divine bow, and I cannot wait to read it all ove ...more

A Great Surprise

This book was a very nice surprise from an unknown author. I liked all of the characters, except maybe Brody, not so much, and the story was continually interesting from beginning to end. I will miss the adventures of Willa and Sloane.

3.5 stars!

Back in 2012 I had the pleasure of reading Tracie Banister’s In Need of Therapy. I totally fell in love with the book. The MC was so lovable, and Tracie’s writing style was a delight. I find myself reading a lot of YA and NA contempts lately that are filled with angst and drama… but Tracie’s book are very different. Belonging in the chick lit genre, they are cleaner, more sweet and a nice change of scenery for me from my normal reading material. So when Tracie asked me if I’d be intere

In Twin Piques, identical twins Sloane and Willa Tobin couldn’t be more different. Their personalities, the way they dress, their careers, the way they view the world and what’s important to them are always at odds. Sloane is a workaholic forensic accountant striving for a big promotion and always puts her career before her love life. Willa is a quirky pet psychic who longs for true love when she isn’t interpreting the thoughts and feelings of animals to their clueless owners. Sloane is logical, ...more

This was such a fun filled read that I really enjoyed. The story is based around identical twins, Willa and Sloane, they may be identical in looks but that is were the similarity ends.

I instantly warmed to Willa’s personality, she is very warm, funny and kooky and loves all things girly. I love her occupation as a pet psychic and she has some great tales to tell of seeing into the minds of owner’s pets and becomes the mediator between the owner and pet to help them have a more harmonious relatio

Thirty-two-year old identical twin sisters Sloane and Willa Tobin might look the same, but on the inside they couldn't possibly be more different. While Willa is a sweet and caring pet psychic, always willing to help people and looking for her own Prince Charming; Sloane is a confident and focused forensic accountant, a true workaholic and definitely not looking for anything more than a simple hook-up. Don't you just love this cover? What a perfect cover for a chick-lit novel. It is so darling!

Twin Piques was such a fun story to read. The twin sisters, Willa and Sloane, are a different as night and day but they were wonderful to get to know. I would love to be their friend, there would never be a dull moment with those two.

'"So, the two of you are identical in appearance, but not in your approaches to life?" "Bingo," I confirm him deduction with a smile. "I'm the free-spirited twin. I don't pl

I fell under the spell of this book, and I must say I had lots of fun with the Tobin twins. Willa and Slone could not be more different, but then it would not be so much fun to uncover the complicated layers of each sister's personality.

I adored the kooky Willa and her "animal whispering" talents. Willa sweet, friendly and romantic while her sister Slone is the polar opposite.
Slone is confident, career driven, and a no-nonsense girl - the anti-romantic of this world! Both sisters have a special

I was totally taken straight away by the cover of this book, and it does do the book justice. The cover very cleverly depicts just how I imagined the twins Sloane and Willa to be.

I really really enjoyed this book. Tracie Bannister has done an excellent job of portraying 2 different characters who share the same DNA, but are so different in their personalities. I always liked the idea of being a twin and these 2 girls are great. D

My third chick lit book (or at least the third I knew was chick lit before I started reading it), and first by this author.

A good solid book. Solid characterization. Weird melodramatic plot involving twins - one works as a forensic accountant and is super serious and super ambitious, who doesn't believe in romance (she's willing to 'lose' an hour a week for sex, but zero for anything like dating), while the other works as a pet psychic and is somewhat flighty, super babbly, very creative brain s

First, I must thank the author, Tracie Banister, for providing me with a copy of Twin Piques to read in return for an honest review.

Twin Piques is the first of Tracie Banister's books that I have read. It tells the tale of two twins with very different characters: Willa and Sloane Tobin. Being a twin myself, I loved that they were given such different characters.

Willa is sweet, healthy-living, artistic and somewhat eccentric. She is a true romantic and a free-spirit. She meets handsome gardener,
