For what it is, this book of illustrations; a reprint from the original, is pretty decent. Unlike many design books, these black and white examples are taken from textiles found in Coptic burials in Egypt by an archeologist in the early 20th c. The fact that both the introduction and the back cover provide more information than many books like this already raise it above the rest by giving the drawings some meaning and provenance. For those just interested in the designs for inspiration, that’s likely enough. For those interested in history or historical reproduction you will likely be looking for more information.
